- In this box set, follow Stone Cold in his first year to his reign as many people would call him, the greatest WWF champion of all time. I personally couldn't have agreed more. Stone Cold Steve Austin has set the standard of attitude in wrestling and in these 5 videos you'll see exactly why he is the toughest S.O.B in the history of the WWF. I recommend this to any wrestling fan even if you don't like Stone Cold. ...

- While most of the tapes that Coliseum video put out are complete waste of your time, this tape is an obsure classic. This is the only place you can see Bret Hart's first title win, and the first ladder match in WWE. Both of these matches are classics, as you would expect from any combination of Bret Hart, Shawn Micheals and Ric Flair.
Here's the match list: Berzerker vs. Crush Repo Man vs. EarthquakeBert Hart vs. Ric Flair (WWF title) Bret Hart vs. Shawn Micheals (ladder match) Bret Hart vs. Kamala Razor Ramon vs. Undertaker You should buy this tape immediately.
- PPV's aside, this was easily the best Coliseum Video of 1993 and, perhaps, of the 1990's altogether. With matchups like Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels in a ladder match and Bret Hart's first WWF Championship from Ric Flair (who was the genius to have a title switch between a rising star like Hart and a legend like Flair and neither televise it, nor feature it on pay per view?!).
Maybe this one a genuine effort to sell the Coliseum Videos...by actually putting some great matches on them! Oh well, it wasn't worth the money back then, but it's well worth the spare change you might find it for used.
- The video starts off with Bushwhackers and Lord Alfred Hayes fixing a house; Its the dumbest stuff anyone can put on tape. Im surprised the wrestling site, WrestleCrap, does not have that on its site. The matches are beyond awful featuring one of the worst executed matches in the history of pro wrestling-Repo Man VS Earthquake. It's the worst match ive ever witnessed. The Undertaker VS Razor Ramon match is on anther VHS tape I have, so that was pointless, just like that match itself. It also features a segement Eating with Yokozuna or some crap. Anther Worst of the WWF tapes addition. The tape is pretty pointless expect for the Hart-Flair World Title match. I dont know why the WWE has left this off both of there dvd sets but its a cruical match, well at least to Hart's career. I thought it was a great match. The HBK-Hart ladder match has been show on the WWE Ladder Match collection before. This video is beyond awful and only worth it for the one match. I hope they put Flair-Hart on dvd soon.

- The WWF really does get terrified on thier trips over to the UK, terrified to make big matches and even more terrified to have a belt change hands at a non-US event. Once again no belts changed hands but that doesn't matter. Most of the undercard was rubbish, with Chyna vs. Jeff Jarrett and Kane vs. Big Show being the only major matches. Both were lame and had taken place the week before on RAW. Up to this point I've just watched two hours of crap, with no Jerry Lawler at ringside (instead Mike Hayes) and no action you can see why I was a bit annoyed at buying this video. But then the cage is erected and The Rock and HHH get it on in the best match I have ever seen the two in, amazing, for this match alone this video deserves a four-star rating. You have GOT to see it! A 40 minute action packed showdown that had the UK audience on their feet (that doesn't say much, the seating looked pretty uncomfortable), a must buy.
- Okay, i know what you are thinking-Who cares what you say, this is a UK ppv! .... Well, thats not true in any way. First off, Jeff Jarett defends his title 2 times in this PPV against D'lo and Chyna, both being excellent matches.
the likes of Mark Henry, Val, Gangrel and Godfather could have been sidelined for RAW is WAR, but nevertheless... The WWF Womens 4 way match was decent, giving the fact that it was involving strictly 4 womens wrestlers... chris Jericho vs Road dogg just might have been the match of the night alongside the main event. An awesome match with a weird ending.... Other matches just arent worth mentioning, but then comes to the main event, the STEEL CAGE match which of course ends up with like 5 people interfering, but again, nevertheless, an awesome match between HHH and Rock and may be the best UK PPV main event there has been yet. This is definately worth the money, i got it for about [price] and i was happy, u will 2. overall a 9/10...awesome event
- First off i believe that this is one of the better UK PPV's there has been in recent years this is why this event has 4 stars.
WWF Intercontinental Title
Jeff Jarrett (c) w/ Miss Kitty vs. D'Lo Brown - A decent opener with both putting on a good show even if the match slows down in the middle, the crowd was really heated for this match but the finish was a bit cheap. 7/10
Godfather vs. Gangrel - BORING why? This match belonged on Heat not on a PPV slow and dragged just fast forward this part. 3/10
Val Venis vs. Mark Henry - Same as before just another typical time filler. No point to match belonged on Raw. 4/10
WWF Womens Title
Ivory (c) vs. Tori vs. Jacqueline vs. Luna - This is a good womens title match with some good action from all involved. Ivory steals the victory when it should have been a clean finish. 6/10
Kane vs. The Big Show - Another match in their feud from 1999 and not one of their best. This is the big man match of the night with some slow decent wrestling. 6.5/10
Impromptu Match
Jeff Jarrett vs. Chyna - Pointless as this match is like 2 minutes long before Bulldog comes in with the screwjob ending check out their other matches which are better. 2/10
Y2J w/ Curtis Hughes vs. Road Dogg - Second best match of the night as Y2J carried Road Dogg to a good match which is really enjoyable, fast action but ending is a little messy. 8.5/10
Tag Team Elimination
Acolytes vs. Crash & Hardcore Holly vs. Edge & Christian - An OK tag match but i think the Hardys would have been better than Hardcore and Crash, some good action and only tag team match of night. 7/10
X-Pac vs. British Bulldog - This was the event where Bulldog was changing into the heel and X-Pac was his person to beat. Short match with to quick of an ending. 5/10
WWF Title Steel Cage Match
Triple H (c) vs. The Rock - Match of the night and another match in the HHH, Rock feud. Not one of their best but is match of the night because of the action and good ending with Bulldog interfering. 9/10
Alot of these matches are really just for Raw but are decent matches compared to other UK PPV's worth buying for the cage match and Y2J & Road Dogg match.
- First off this is the second WWF UK p.p.v.The first was NO Mercy on May 16,1999(7 days before Owen Harts death)and this is the second one that took place on October 2,1999 in Birmingham,England.So here are the results of WWF Rebellion 1999;
Jeff Jarrett defeated DLO Brown to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship.3/5.
The Godfather defeated Gangrel.3/5.
Val Venis defeated Mark Henry.2/5.
Ivory defeated Luna,Tori and Jacqueline in an four corners match to retain the WWF Womens Championship.2/5.
Chris Jericho w/Curtis Hughes defeated The Road Dogg.5/5.(Great match, and great mat wrestling).
Impromptu Match;
Chyna defeated WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett by disqualification. Therefore Jeff Jarrett retains the title.4/5.
No Disqualification Match;
Kane defeated The Big Show.5/5.
The British Bulldog aka Davey Boy Smith defeated X-PAC.4/5.
Edge and Christian defeated The Acolytes and Hardcore and Crash Holly in an triangle Tag Team Match.5/5.(Great Tag Team Match).
Triple H defeated The Rock in an steel cage match to retain the WWF Championship after interference from the British Bulldog/Davey Boy Smith.5/5.(Great Cage match with an solid performance by HHH and The Rock.).
Overall a pretty good U.K p.p.v.I didnt think it was better than the UK No Mercy p.p.v earlier that year, but it was still good and is worth the money!

- WWF Fully Loaded 1999 Quick Match Results;
Jeff Jarrett w/Debra defeated Edge to win the I.C Title.
The Acolytes(Bradshaw/Faarooq)defeated The Hardy Boyz and Michael Hayes to win the Tag Team Titles.
DLo Brown defeated Mideon to win the European Title.
The Big Bossman defeated Al Snow to win the Hardcore Title.
The Big Show defeated Kane w/guest referee Hardcore Holly.-Hardcore Holly fast counts Kane after Big Show chokeslams him. Then XPac comes to the ring and beats up on Hardcore Holly then The Undertaker comes out and chokeslams XPAC and him and The Big Show double team Kane/XPAC.Then Kane/XPAC are left in the ring beat up together.
Ken Shamrock defeated Steve Blackman in an "iron circle" match.
XPAC/Road Dogg defeated Mr @ss/Bad @ss Billy Gunn and Chyna to the "Rights to the DX Name".
HHH defeated The Rock in an Fully Loaded Strap Match after interference from Mr @ss/Bad @ss Billy Gunn.HHH will now go to Summerslam to face the WWF Champion in the main event.
Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated The Undertaker in an "First Blood" End of an Era Match" to retain the WWF Title.Since Undertaker lost the match Vince McMahon had to leave the WWF because he had put his career on the line and said if the Undertaker didnt win the WWF Title then he would leave his company. The match saw interference from XPAC,Shane O Mac,Vince McMahon,HHH and The Rock. After the match The Undertaker and Austin are still brawling and then Stone Cold gives Vince McMahon a "goodbye stunner" to exit him out.(Vince McMahon would be back nearly 2 months later.Afterall its his own company. You all didnt think he was gone forever, did you?).

- Another old WWF tape that I found from the Attitude Era of the WWF. This event had purpose to it as the King of the Ring event from the month before didn't exactly deliver. Not only did this event make up for that event but this was actually one of the WWF's best showings during the year 1999....and you can't exactly say that there were many great PPV events from this year.
Intercontinental Champion Edge vs Jeff Jarrett. The night before at a house show in Toronto, Edge won his first singles title so this was the rematch. And just like his match with Owen Hart months before at BreakDown, Edge held his own against the veteran Jarrett in what was a good back & forth match with Gangrel getting involved at the end & Debra being quite the sight at ringside.
Acolyte Rules: WWF Tag Team Champions Hardy Boyz & Michael Hayes vs Acolytes. This was just a glorified handicap match with the rules being that the Acolytes can win the tag titles no matter who they pin. These two teams didn't disappoint as this was another good match with Hayes not slowing down the action at all to the point where it was his mistake that cost his team the match that eventually lead to the Hardyz leaving Hayes in the future.
WWF European Champion Mideon vs D'Lo Brown. After months of the European title being on the shelf, it returns here but this was the first flop of the night as Mideon does nothing for me as a performer & D'Lo just wasn't good enough to bring out a good performance out of Mideon.
Hardcore Champion Al Snow vs Big Bossman. This match had a wierd storyline as Snow was begging Bossman to put him out of his misery due the "Head" driving him crazy for the past couple weeks. Anyways, this match followed the hardcore pattern that the WWF did at this point as they brawled around the arena using various weapons including a golf cart before they would out into the streets with Bossman handcuffing Snow up against the fense to win the match & the title.
Kane vs Big Show w/Special Referee Hardcore Holly. Holly was just added to the match for some comedy based on his interactions with both men throughout the couple of weeks leading to this match. Even though this did get slow at times, this was actually a good "big man vs big man" match as this was better than their previous KOTR match or even their dull Backlash 2006 encounter with the aftermath featuring Undertaker & X-Pac that planted the seeds for their tag team match at SummerSlam a month later.
Iron Circle Match: Ken Shamrock vs Steve Blackman. This resembled the Parking Lot Brawls that they would do a couple of years later involving Cena/Guerrero as they just brawled in the parking lot surrounded with cars with some of the cars coming into effect at one point before Shamrock ended things with a steel chain.
"Rights To The DX Name": X-Pac & Road Dogg vs Billy Gunn & Chyna. The stipulation to this match was that the winning team would get the rights to use the DX name. Anyways, this was the surprise of the night as everyone put forth a good effort & delivered a match that would have came off as a filler but made it fun to watch with moments like the interaction between Gunn/Dogg & even Chyna/X-Pac as we see Chyna dominate with her strength.
Fully Loaded Strap Match: The Rock vs Triple H. The winner of this match would face the WWF Champion at SummerSlam. This was a different strap match than most fans tend to expect as this didn't have the "touch the four corners rule" with the way to win being by pinfall/submission anywhere in the building. Out of all their matches, this was probably their stiffest match with both men using the leather strap at various times like Triple H choking Rock from the top turnbuckle along with one moment where Rock whipped Triple H in the chest with the strap that it made me cringe. The ending involving Billy Gunn didn't take away from this match that would have been worthy for Rock or HHH's DVD sets.
"End Of An Era" First Blood Match: WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Undertaker. The climax of the Austin/McMahon feud as the stipulations here were that if Taker won, Austin couldn't get a title match ever again while if Austin won, McMahon would be forced to leave the WWF. Before the match, Vince McMahon decided to do commentary for this match. On top of that earlier in the night, both men were attacked & busted open by one another. This was a physical brawl between these two with both men selling the effect of their attack from earlier with Shane McMahon taking one of the hardest chairshots that I have ever seen in wrestling. Along with cameos from X-Pac, Triple H, The Rock & Vince McMahon, this was a wild encounter with a surprising aftermath to conclude one of the best feuds in WWF history.
In the end, this was one of the better events from the year 1999 as most of the matches here delivered along with storylines either being created or ended to make this a fun show to watch & I highly recommend.
- 1st match edge vs jeff jarett winner jeff jarett. 2nd match apa vs hardy boyzs winners apa. 3rd match mideon vs d low brown winner d low brown. 4th match al snow vs big boss man i love hardcore matches winner big boss man. 5th match big show vs kane winner big show. 6th match ken shamrock vs steve blackman winner ken shamrock. 7th match billy gunn and chyna vs road dogg and x pac winners road dogg and x pac. 8th match triple h vs the rock winner triple h. 9th match first blood match steve auston vs undertaker if you do not like blood than do not watch this match or this pay per view winner steve auston.
- this ppv was awsome with the iron circle match strap match the hardcore match the first bood was fantastic this should be a 5 star ppv

4 comments about NWA Pro Wrestling: Copa de Lucha.
- Fun lucha and American style pro-wrestling video in general. I found it for a very low price new at a local grocery store. When El Hijo del Santo is featured, you have to get it if you are a true lucha fan.
The matches were very entertaining, and to watch the perpetual rivalry between LA Park and Santo, Jr. is worth every penny.
Recommended for true Mexican lucha fans and serious wrestling marks.
- All the props in the world must go to the National Wrestling Alliance. After struggling for years to find an indentity in a landscape where independent promoters matter very little, the revamped NWA has found a new path through a great, old-school concept; a product that is truly Professional Wrestling.
Such a one-night, tag-team tournaments are popular in promotions outside of North America and the featured talent/styles in this event - which took place in Las Vegas - are from the U.S., Mexico, Japan and Canada, with special emphasis on the legendary Lucha Libre mat science.
El Hijo Del Santo, Rey Misterio, Sr., Konnan, Sean Waltman and Black Tiger are the featured performers in an evening of pure entertainment, with the teams aiming for the first Copa de Lucha championship. This DVD is outstanding from the first bell to the final match, when the champs - and fans - have their hands raised in victory.
- I love lucha libre, I love wrestling and I love a majority of the wrestlers on this show yet overall I have to say I was not particularly impressed.
While there were some very fun moments on this disc such as Joey Ryan and Karl Anderson's awesome heel antics and some great workers such as Hijo Del Santo and Colt Cabana, there were also some real let downs on this show.
One of the most disappointing things I found about this DVD is that it clearly did not deliver what it promised. It listed L.A. Park as being one of the wrestlers on the show, but instead Super Parka (his similarly attired but decrepid and less entertaining uncle) was the man in the skeleton suit. Surely NWA Pro knows who they are paying to work their shows, so why not be honest with the fans? Dishonesty is not good business and as much as I want to support NWA Pro this type of thing really put me off wanting to buy any more of their merchandise.
Apart from this there were several other lowlights, such as a visibly injured Konnan limping out to the ring and stinking up the joint. Before the match even started Konnan could not walk and was clearly in no condition to wrestle yet was given far more to do in his tag match than he was capable of. The other three men worked their butts off, but it's hard to get a good match out of a cripple.
Even the Colt Cabana match was bad, since he was put in the ring with a selection of some of the world's least exciting roid-monsters. Colt did what he could but I don't think anyone could have made this a good match.
For me the overall theme of this show was wasted chances. With the group of workers on the show this could have been so much more, but by teaming up the good workers with the bad the overall quality of the show was quite average.
However one thing I really enjoyed was the atmosphere of the show. It felt bigger than an indy and had a good crowd in which really helped. Children in lucha masks, a large Hispanic crowd who ate up the racist heel stylings of Anderson and Ryan, the overall feeling of this show was real wrestling. Not the overly polished, sexually explicit, catch-phrase laden and playboy model infused WWE sports entertainment but fun, good old fashioned grappling.
If NWA Pro are able to start telling their fans the truth, and focusing a little more on match quality then I will be very excited to see future shows. If not, then NWA Pro will be just another short lived promotion that nobody will remember in two years time.
- While checking out the wrestling DVD selection at my local Best Buy I came across a box set of four lucha libre wrestling dvds being sold for around $15.00. What a deal, how could I go wrong I thought to myself and gladly spent 15 hard-earned dollars. This dvd happened to be included in the set.
Copa de Lucha is a NWA promotion (yep, the NWA is still alive and kicking) that consists of a tag-team tournament feature 4 teams from various countries (Mexico, USA, Canada, and Japan). Ironically, the team representing Japan actually features, as the announcers point out, two guys wearing masks not from Japan (or China or Korea or anywhere near the orient for that matter)- one from England and the other one from Latin America (the land of the rising sun must have been proud). A second moment of irony is that team USA (Joey Ryan and Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson) are actually heels here despite the fact that the tournament is taking place in Las Vegas. This is due to the fact that most of the crowd is Mexican (FYI - it's worth the price alone to see Anderson and Ryan infuriate the crowd with their antics). In addition to the 3 tournament matches, you get a couple of tag and single matches from the shwo.
The wrestling is pretty bad and much of it is of the lucha libre genre (makes sense since most of the crowd is Mexican). Even the guys you would expect to deliver a good show (Colt Cabana, Franki Kazarian, Adam Pearce, etc...) more or less phone it in. That's not even counting the train wreck tag match featuring 4 of the "older" masked wrestlers or the match that features a visibly injured Konnan (who makes the Wrestlemania 25's version of "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka look like Jack Evans).
That's not to say this dvd is not worth your time - it is a fun in an old school sort of way. The heels are totally over the top and the matches are, for the most part, mercifully quick. The announcers (their names escape me) kept me entertained with some one liners here and there while doing a, shockingly, decent job calling the action. There is a nice crowd on hand (a couple of thousand) who seem to be enjoying themselves. One of my favorite parts was watching them litter the ring with garbage after Ryan and Anderson do their thing (seriously - I don't think I have ever seen two heels get over quicker or more effectively or make me laugh quite as hard as this). Finally, the cover on the DVD looks like it is for a 1960's horror movie - how can you beat that?
Overall, this really isn't a bad buy if you can find it cheap. The wrestling is not great at all, but you will be entertained.

- Great video. The whole ppv was excellent and so was the king of the ring.My favorite match was The Undertaker vs The Rock for the wwf title.Im glad Undertaker won but I didnt like how Triple H came out and cost the Rock, but Undertaker still won so Im happy. The second best match was the main event for control of the company Stone Cold vs Vince and Shane Mcmahon in a ladder match. Before the match Shane O' Mac tried to weasel his way out the match but the comissioner Shawn Michaels wasnt going for that and made sure he would'nt take the easy way out.The Mcmahon's won but it still was a great match! This video is excellent and I would definetly recommend it!

Vengeance 2005(Main event is Batista vs Triple H in an hell in an cell)
- This was not the best PPV of 99 but i enjoyed watching this and it was hilighted with a few great matches (no particular order):
1. WWE Championship:
The Undertaker vs The Rock
This was the best match of the Undertakers 3rd WWE Title title run and it had it all it was very exciting, good to see The Rock in his prime of 99-01. Undertaker's stil got it now and 4 some reason i liked his Ministry/Prince of Darkness Persona better then any. This is a hard hitting slugfest and reccomended to all Taker and Rock fans as well as WWE Attitude Era. 9/10
2. Handicap Ladder Match for control of The WWE:
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Shane and Vince McMahon
This was a sleeper match I thought it was gonna be alright but, as like the Title match it supprised me. This was a beatdown on the McMahons. Cool to see the ladders fall on Shane O. Shocker End. 9/10
3. Tag Team Titles
The Brood vs The Hardyz
This was a great E/C & Hardy Boyz classic. As Usual a fast "hardcore" tag team match. 8/10

- handicap ladder match
Austin vs The Mcmahons
this is not the best ladder match i have ever seen but it is certainly not the worst ladder match this match took place during the wwf attitude era when stone cold was most popular wrestler in the world just listen to the ovation he receives when he makes his entrance before the match begins now to the match many people say this was not a good match because i think they are use to seeing people flying off ladders 20 feet high u fans would have to watch the tlc series from the hardys, edge and christan, and the dudleys if u expected high flying moves then this might not be the match for u if u expected three talented wrestlers giving it their all no matter the circumstances then i recommend that u check this match out there were a lot of moves with the ladders and a few decent and memorable spots i must say the mcmahons took a beating in this match austin did solid bump there were no blown spot nor any boring moments if u ask me i would watch this match again i the type of person that enjoys wrestlers good, great, or the best that goes out their and works their butts of as including a mixture of creativity as long as they do that for me i am satisfied also the crowd sightly helps the match be as exciting as it was i rate this match above moderate ***-***1/4 i also rate this match as one of the best handicap matches i have ever seen i was not really upset about the ending as most people was because i have not seen this match before or the story behind it although i would have like to seen austin won the match i did not mind for the mcmahons to take the victory here either they put on a solid show and deserve a little treat for their efforts

- I liked this DVD alot, but I hated how some of the matches were clipped. Most it did not bother me, but the Kanemura/Tanaka match was one I REALLY wanted to see. Instead I got a 5 minutes of clips. It looked good too. I LOVED the Gladiator/Hayabusa match (shown in Full) as well as the Gladiator/Ooya vs Hayabusa, and ??. It was full too. The other DVD was much better. I hope all the matches are unedited next time. It was cool how they translated the speech!
- This tape is great from start to finish! If you are a fan of Hayabusa than you will love this video! It is the best one of all the US commercialy released tapes! If you never heard of FMW this will be a great introduction. Try it!
- Well, this is the first FMW video ive ever seen, so... Was it good? It was diferent, ill give you that, but it wasn't what I expected. The wrestling was good and all, but the announcers where the weak spot in the thing... They seemed more concerned with comparing the wrestlers to american wrestler, and with talking about which one of them had worse gas..... But don't let that fool you into thinking that this thing is bad... It isn't.. Its a great video.. The DVD version has some great add ons. The Mr. Pogo match would of been awesome, if it wasn't compleatly dark... but hey it was a lights out match (I think). The 'Gladiator' (Mike Awesome) Vs. Hayabusa (Probably spelt wrong) match was awesome (no pun intended). All in all a pretty good DVD.... Good enough that I will probably buy some other FMW ones too...
- They say first impressions are important. Well this was my first FMW video and I was impressed. The action was great all-around. First it was supposed to be Comat Toyoda AKA "Mother-in- Law" vs. the Bad Nurse Nakamura. Before the match, Sub Miss Saito begged "Mother-In-Law" to let her wrestle the Bad Nurse. So "Mother -in--law" agreed. You will here the two commentators bantering so much they missed "bad Nurse" pinning Sub Miss. There was a female Muta named Megummi Kuddo she is one of the toughest female wrestlers I've ever seen. The announcers spend more time arguing that calling matches. The Gladiator/Hayabusa match was well put togather. Gladiator is Mike Awesome from ECW fame. There was a lights-out death match that would have been better if there was no lights out stip. There was a crazy tag team coffin match with Mr. Pogo and Horace (Hogan) Boulder vs Super Leather and Matsunaga. Matsunaga gets ... whopped all over this tape. This is a great intro to the world of FMW: Hardcore wrestling Made in Japan
- this had some good matches but i did not like the lights out death match because you could not see anything, hint hint!!!!!
other than that a medium good dvd from fmw.
ps:that was my first fmw dvd and i just orderd yokohama deathmatch that will be very good as the reviews said.
