1. The decription of the techiques is very clear. I got many insights in things I learnt during my karate training and did not really know the reason of standing in a particular way and how to perform better certain techniques. Whatever your grade you will get a lot of useful advice.
   My only worry is that the material covered is a bit limited. I hope the series will not go up to versin 4!
   Anyway, I am expecting the next version with impatience.



2. The content on this disk is excellent. Regardless of your level, you will gain more insight into the reasons for performing junbi undo as you do. However, to fully gain an understanding of any technique I would stronly recommend instruction directly from a Goju Ryu teacher and lots of practice! This series will serve as a good suppliment in addition to your training. The only draw back to the disk is of a techinical nature. While the sound and picture quality are excellent, the company that produced the DVD did not create a menu to select either the intro, junbi undo, or stance sections. It would be very helpful for quick reference to fully utilize the chapter and search capabilites of the DVD format in future releases.

1. If you have Master Morio Higaonna's Goju-ryu series by panther production, you do not need to purchase the Encyclopaedia of Goju Ryu Karate Series. So far this new series Vol 1 & 2 are available and does not have any new vital information.
   However the Tsunami Production is execellent!



2. Excellent instruction as was in the first volume and even more accessible as a reference with the inclusion of a very simple yet functional DVD menu. In fact, I prefer this type of "static" menu over the rather annoying menus which continuously "loop" on other DVDs. I hope further instruction on other traditional hojo undo equipment will be included on future volumes.

1. If you truely like classical Karate, if you want a true insight to where it all came from and you want to learn about multiple styles - you just hit the gong. I have both volumes of this in VHS. I will get both in DVD.
   There is some very good information and outstanding instruction from some devasting Kyoshi's & Hanshi's. The production quality shames Yamazato & Rising Sun Production Co. and eclipses Tsunami (whom I consider to be of above all the rest). You will not be wasting your money. View and enjoy

1. As practising Goju Ryu practioners, my husband and I found these DVD's invaluable. Highly recommended to anyone who wishes to further their growth in karate.



2. I very much enjoy this DVD! It is a clear, detailed explanation of how and why to practice Sanchin kata. Also, S. Higaonna explains in detail, with safety cautions, how to help a student train in this kata. This would not be a good substitute for a live instructor if you are beginning training, but it is a fabulous clarification. The instructing techniques are consistent with what I experienced in Okinawa, Japan. This DVD inspires me to train more!
