1. I never had another kneepad, so I can't compare it with other kneepads. But this product worked fine for me and was surprisingly comfortable. It was also machine washable, which was a big plus. I deducted one star because after the first wash, some of the threads came loose a little.

1. I looked everywhere for Youth knee pads for my 8 yr old son who is a big wrestling fan, I couldn't find youth ones anywhere. So when I found these I knew I had to order them right away. I didn't think they would of come in time for Christmas but they did. Great Material and he tells me they are very comfortable.

1. I brought this for my son when he was 6 and is heavily involved in Jiu Jitsu. My son is very active and quite competitive in the sport. He would come home with red ears as he spent an hour wrestling through jiu jitsu moves that would cause his ears to rub against his opponents Gi.
   
   After trying several typical ear guards and having my son resist wearing them because he would get to "hot" I found these. He has not complained since I brought them for him and dutifully wears them.
   
   The only complaint I have is that this is the 2nd pair I am buying since the snap on the chin strap broke and we couldn't find a place to replace it. We were able to rig it by cutting through the foam section and we actually are still using it but I don't expect it to take too much more punishment so I'm buying a new one.

1. Unlike some other ear guards, like the old clam shells, that basically just press against your ear to immobilize it; these ear guards have a little pocket for your ear to go into and roam freely. This makes it much more comfortable.
   
   The picture makes it look like they may be a little too thick and interfere with squeezing your head through tight places, but I've found them to be no worse than any other ear guards in that respect.
   
   The straps are nylon with velco which I have found to be just as secure as the plastic kind, but a little more comfy.
   
   All in all a very good product.



2. My son and daughter loves this headgear...I like all the colors it comes in and you never have a problem with the strap over the eyes. Or we haven't.
   
   I think it's a little big for a 5-6 year old and doesn't really adjust to fit as well as I would like it to (we had a problem with it this past weekend slipping to the side and not being able to make it tight enough)....better for the 7 and up, i would think. It sturdy and very cushioned.
