1. The converta staff is good for traveling with as it breaks down to a convenient size. The staff feels good in your hands when assembled, good thickness and weight. The chains for the 3 section staff are inside the staff when assembled and rattle around as they are in a hollow compartment. Other than this there is nothing wrong with this item. Don't buy it as your only weapon but rather one that you can easily move to and from practice with when traveling with your full size staff is not convenient. It can also be sued as a spare for another student to use in order to work alongside you.I'm sure it will outlast the carbon collapsible ones but I have not used the carbon ones so I can't say for sure. It just seems that metal will outlast carbon.

   definitely recommended if you are learning Chen spear (you will have to put your own spear head).

1. Solid construction & beautiful burn pattern. I thought it would be lighter because it's made of rattan but it's still way lighter than a hardwood weapon & safer (harwook splits in sharp pieces if broken - rattan does not). Great price! I could have gotten one cheaper without the burn pattern but it would not have had any personality to it just plain. Great investment!



2. The staff I received looks nothing like the one I thought I ordered. The staff in the picture looks nice- light wood with burn marks to give it character; the one I'm looking at right now is painted with orange tape around each end. It looks cheep and crappy. I will be returning it for a full refund. I am very disappointed with this purchase.



3. Very light, very nice looking, excellent for practice, But can not be taken into a real fight. It's not sturdy enough to block a bat without sustaining major damage, and it takes severe damage from striking some one in the head.

1. Overall the product is a great buy considering its availability and price in my area. Looks slightly different to the image on the site but that is not a problem with me.

2. This of course is a three section staff unlike what the title says. This is a very good product. It however did not have the red rings, but it is a very good quality weapon. Great shipping time.
