- The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the junction between the hilt of the sword and its case is really loose. I actually use this as a real cane since I have a bad knee. I solved the loose screw junction problem with a rubber band around the threads to act as a gasket sorta. Also, if you're using this for orthopedic purposes you'll need to put a REAL cane tip on it (it comes with this crappy plastic one) but a 5\8 inch cane tip from Walmart for $2 (you get 2 in the box) fixes that problem easily. Otherwise, this is a wonderful wonderful cane and I get so many compliments about it. Unlike most sword canes out there the scabbard for this one is VERY sturdy. The whole cane weighs probably 6lb by itself easily if not more, but it's worth the extra weight for the beauty and quality. :)
- The product is fine - matches my anticipation. However, I object to the mailing packaging which identifies what is inside. I live in an apartment building. The doormen and staff have been curious and have asked me questions. If I were in a small town it would be the same with the Post Office people. This is none of their business, and what good does it do the company to indicate the nature of the product on the outer container?

- It's a great sword and i've only got two complaints with it.
1. The blade was sharpened incorrectly or hastily and is jagged in some areas.
2. Since the sheath is hardwood every time you remove the sword it is covered in dust and if you turn the sheath upside down and tap it dust falls out.
other than that it's a great product andc a great buy.

- This is neither battle ready nor a wall hanger and I doubt it would up in stage combat / reenactment.
When mine arrived, the sheath was bent. The blade was of poor construction. The blade was not asthetic, it had uneaven seams along the lengh of the blade where it looks like the metal was folded over in a fairly crude fasion. So now it's collecting dust in a closet somewhere.
The blade was blunt, but with a good bit of elbow grease I suppose it could be sharpened.
IMO if you want something that is relativly affordable for:
1) wma, reenactment, live steel fighting, stage combat: consider swords made by Henwei & Windlass
2) combat ready: consider swords made by generation2 (they come razor sharp), Henwai, or Windlass (if you want relativly short in length)
3) wall hanger: no clue as I don't buy wall hangers
