1. PURCHASED THE ITEM, WAS DISAPPOINTED. THE SWORD IS GREAT TO HAVE BECAUSE I LOVE HALO, BUT TO CONSIDER IT A REAL SWORD???? NO IT IS RATHER FLIMSY. THE PERK IS IT IS TITANIUM. WOULD SPEND 20 BUCKS ON IT, WOULDN'T SPEND 100.00. THE WALL PLAQUE IS OF POOR QUALITY.



2. Limited Edition Halo Covenant Titanium Color Energy Sword I gave 4 out of 5 stars because this sword is a little flimsy when one holds it. The photo makes this unit look a lot better then it really is. It is a costume unit or display unit only; not that I was looking to chop wood with it of course. The color is awesome by the way...



3. I feel that this sword is cooler then it described. I thought it was a plastic replica, but i turned out to be all metal and totally bad-ass.



4. The picture looks sweet an all but I'm a photog and I know they altered the lighting angle on the picture to make it look like it's "white sheen".
   But it's not. It's seriously "rainbow metallic" with slight white glinting off the blades. I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND making the sword truly white, with a small amount of rainbow sheen to it's reflection.
   Other than that it's actually REALLY sweet. But good luck going to bars or clubs on Halloween with it; it is made of metal (supposedly titanium, could be titanium plated at least) and can EASILY penetrate flesh. IT IS A METAL BLADE. But it looks sweet enough.



5. This item is as described in the reviews it is cheap and cheaply made. The package came looking like a truck had runover it and the wooden plaque designed to hang the sword from was damged "looked like someone smashed it with a hammer". The sword itself looks cheap and flimsy, and the blades were bent in opposite directions so that when hung up on the wall one bends towards the wall and one sticks out towards the front. This was supposed to be a Valentines gift for my husband who is a Halo fan, i bought it to hang in his Game room. I knew it wasn't meant for real sword play but i still expected decent packaging, and a well made and visually pleasing specimen. I got neither of these. I managed to bend the blades back so that they are even and symetrical but the wooden wall hanger is damaged beyond fix. I didnt want to mess with sending it back because it was a gift, the disapointment was non-fixable when my hubby opened the package and saw it all messed up. Don't buy from this company this product is cheap and shipped cheap.
   
   EDIT:as of 3-2-10 i still haven't heard back from the company regarding my email i sent about the above described problems. Don't waste your time on this company!!

2. I recieved the Twin Blade set very promptly after ordering. The scabbard appears to be made of very durable material and the shoulder strap adjusts to the perfect length. All in all I am very Satisfied.

1. The sword is perfect and just what I wanted. However, the stand that came with it is very cheap and does not hold the sword. It keeps falling over,so I am not very happy with that.Otherwise, the service was good and I like the sword itself.



2. I imagine it should be obvious to most people but this sword is not meant to actually be used. It is for decoration purposes only. It may look nice and that is fine for most people but the fact is that there is very little about this sword that is authentic. More than likely it is machine made and sharpened. If you are looking for the real thing and not just an imitation I suggest looking at a different sword, maybe something from Paul Chen (Hanwei).



3. item is very good but the box that it was send it was to big, when I got it I thought it was plasma TV, and shipping fees where to expensive because of the big box that was used



4. This is a good sword for practice and katas. It is a true work of art with its designs and whatnot. For practice and workouts it works well. It is slightly blade heavy in my opinion though. If I am correct, this is a MOVIE PROP sword so don't be surprised that it has a false edge. The wax or grease everyone is talking about is a protective coating of grease that is applied to protect the sword from oxidation, or rusting, while in storage prior to sale. Almost all bladed weapons or tools are stored in this way at some point. If it bothers you, you can just wipe it clean with a cloth. No big deal. Dont forget to clean it and regrease it with the proper kit to prevent it from rusting. As a decoration it is a work of art. The stand is real light though so dont be surprised if it falls over alot if you live near railroad tracks. But this sword is solid so it shouldnt hurt it. This sword is definately worth the price. Buy it.



5. I think this sword is well worth the 15 dollars for it. I have many high end swords as well, but for the 15 dollar price range this is great. Its a stainless steel blade (which in most cases is much narrower than the handle making it look rather ugly) but is a good width. If you want to hang it on the wall, it'll look great but i actually use it to trim the garden. its nice to have a sword i can practice with and not worry about if it gets damaaged. if you find that it gets loose, remove the cam on the bottom of the handle and tighten the bolt.

1. I know its just a replica but for the price i would expect a little quality. The scabbard is poorly painted it looks like something I could have done in my basement with a can of spray paint. The sword is very wobbly and may snap if swung. The handle on the sword is also poorly painted, The blade is not even symmetrical on one side. Not to mention that the tri force symbol on it is also crooked. If you are looking for a quality replica, this is not the one for you. At a distance it looks ok, but up close it looks awful. As a Zelda fan im almost ashamed to have this.



2. This sword is awesome,the triforce is excellent on the one I received and its great in weight and slightly sharp and the tip and the top of the scabbard are metal and great detail. The only down fall to it, is that its slightly darker and the paint is a little spraypainty and mine has a little chip in it, but i'm happy with it and its detail. Its a must have either way.



3. The sword is absolutely beautiful!! the only problem i found was that the yellow paint was a little cheesy and poorly done, an easy fix, and a couple tiny little scratches on the blade (You can notice them unless you look very carefully), other than that, this is aa amazing sword, recommend it for Legend of Zelda fans, a must buy!!



4. I cannot review this item since it was never received. I ordered it on 12/15/09. As of 1/16/10, I still have not received it. UPS finally informed me that it is lost. All tracking kept showing that it was sitting in New Stanton,Pa since 12/28. I was told that I would have it easily by 12/24 for Christmas. Very disappointing. I will be contacting Amazon to file a claim as I believe I have already been charged for this item. I will cancel the item order, my son is very, very disappointed.

1. Bought it for the friend of our family. It was a big fun when we found out that the blade is on the wrong side, kind of peaceful Katana :D So, the friend had the desired sword but also his wish is still to become true to hold the real Katana someday :D.



2. This Katana is good at what it does. The reversed nature of the blade makes it safe to work with, and the reversed blade is not razor-sharp, all though it could be sharpened. I do not know if this blade has a full tang or not, but I will not be putting it through extreme duress. It does not have a point, but is rounded off, making this blade as safe as one could be and still could be considered a blade. The guard is a bit too wide to be comfortable, but that is just my personal geometry This blade itself seems of good quality. The blade was shipped promptly and arrived in great condition. The stand, as mentioned in other reviews, is of poor quality, but it is essentially a freebie that comes with the sword. In general a beutifal blade that would do wonderfully as a display or cosplay piece.



3. I happned to recieve this as a gift and i was suprised. from what they said it came days earlier than expected it's very well made it had a really nice shine to it after i wiped off that white stuff of the blade and i really liked that. The stand was pretty nice seemed a little smaller than expected but the sword still sits on there nicely. All in All other than the stand (which i won't complain cause its free) its a really good sword and well worth the price



4. This is a really awesome sword. I would recommend any weapon collector to add this sword to their collection! The reverse blade makes the sword very unique. Not only that, it reminds us of our Rurouni Kenshin hero, Kenshin Himura.
   When ever my friends come over, I would always show them this sword and impress them on how cool and unique the blade is.
   
   I would also recommend those who have the money to buy the carbon steel version of this knife for their collection.

1. For the price these swords are a steal.
   
   However, if you're a mini-ninja planning on hacking your Mom's rose garden or pear tree to shreds, these swords probably aren't for you.
   
   They arrived in perfect condition. The stand needed a little bit of sanding to get it flush, but that was the only issue.



2. Bought this one for my husband. Hes crazy about it. Looks fine in our interior.



3. We bought this to go with our Asian themed living room and it not only was a GREAT deal but it's an excellent product that looks a lot more expensive. Because we bought this only as a decoration for the wall we were actually surprised that the blades do have some cutability to them and I am guessing if I had a sharpener that would fit the blades that these actually would become VERY sharp. The vendor told me you could not mount these to a wall, he was wrong, we were able to with a couple of light nails mount the holder and knives with no problem whatsoever although it's not stated in the description.

1. I bought this sword a year ago, I haven't really used it for anything but a wall decoration, But it's a good piece of steel for the money. It is a bit thin, but i've owned machete's that were just as thin and were expected to do heavy field work(chopping brush and so forth.) After a good sharpening this would be a forminable blade.



2. I got this because it was so cheap. I am definitly not dissappointed with my purchase. Would probably scare someone more than hurt them if you had intentions of using it.



3. First off, I'm not sure why everyone is talking about hitting tree's with this. The only reason to hit a tree with a sword is for conditioning of your palms and getting your wrists accustomed to the shock factor. Even that would only last a short time.
   
   Anyway the reason this PRODUCT is a five is because it is worth the amount. (It would be much more accurate to call it a short sword, the product description clears states that it is only just over two feet long.) Obviously it doesn't compare to handmade katanas, but few "swords" under twenty dollars outlast anything other than sitting on a wall. Hence the higher rating.
   
   Yes, the sheath is not well made. The tip is actually quite sharp and will tear holes in it.
   
   No, it is not "razor sharp". People need to realize that all generic factory swords come with a knife style edge. That's not how a sword edge was designed to be. Long story short; YOU WILL NEVER FIND A SWORD THAT IS "RAZOR SHARP" THAT ISN'T TRADITIONALLY HANDMADE AND SHARPENED. And those cost hundreds at the very cheapest.
   
   Someone stated it's too thin or light to do any damage in a fight and you would be better off with a pocket knife or your fists or some such nonsense. This is ridiculous American rationalized bull. Many Chinese swords are thiner, lighter and more flexible than this product. If that says nothing to you, I've proved my point.
   
   This is obviously not a short sword made for sword snobs, but it's totally acceptable for the price and bloody rad for fantasy fanatics. The end.



4. strong sword, u feel it when u fighting wit it. it outlasted most the other cheap ninja swords that u find, even attackig trees (cause first thing u do wit a sword is attack trees of course). but not sharp and the handle is a little uncomfy.



5. i got mine from budk catalog. for the price its awsome! just remember, its not a machette. ive used mine to chop small branches and a chicken from time to time. it does a decent job. specialy for $10, the sheeth sucks tho so ur better slap some cow hide together as u order. the sheeth will fall apart before u even touch it.

1. This is a classic item that has it's own style for fun. Must be used reasonably of course so avoid eye contact especially. This item gives multiple stimulation with little effort & with that added safety. The real cat's meow!



2. I bought this as a prop for my daugher in a play. The dye is not set and bleeds all over everything it touches. It will get on the hands and does not come off easily. Do not buy this item unles you don't care about shoddy products!



3. The item arrived pretty fast, a part of it seemed to look a bit used and broken but I needed it for a costume so it was nice. Not really good to use for S&M play but you get what you paid for and it was cheap. I recommend to use for show versus play.



4. I received this item as a gift and was amazed at the poor quality. As soon as I unpacked it the (very obvious) glue holding the wrapping around the handle let go and the wrapping began to unwind. I'm only glad that my gift giver didn't waste much money on this item. Although what was spent was wasted. Very, very shoddy work.



5. This is not my first cat-of-nine-tails whip but it is actually the best one for the money. I bought 2 of these to use as gifts and I ended up keeping one of them. This whip has a great handle/grip, very comfortable to hold great for long sessions. It is also well balance so it doesnt require a lot of aiming to hit the wanted spot. Also, what counts, Im receiving excellent feedbacks from the people at the other end of it. It delivers your message loud and clear at normal swing with a very good increase in...love as you increase the swing speed and force. This product delivers!

5 comments about Japanese Sword Cleaning Kit.

1. Hmm, okay lets start with the stuff inside.
   
   1. 2 piece of rice paper, sort of like (fabric softner sort of cloth in my opinion...)
   -This set is sort of just like a starter set since once you use up the rice paper you have to get more or improvise with something similar to it. It works fine like anything else but anyhow, reminder*get ready to improvise.
   
   2. Mallet+two bamboo pins
   -They work fine, but i recommend going to someone with more experience for removing pins and such.
   
   3. The powder ball
   -Works fine as well just takes a few taps to get it started when you first get it. you will probably need to buy more of this in the future as well.
   
   4. Oil
   -The amount is quite small so get ready to buy oil, works fine.
   
   Overall i thought this product was good just didnt think the amount of supplies was like sample size.(My first kit)



2. I bought this cleaning kit because I recently purchased a movie prop replica sword from my local comic shop and the blade is very dirty.
   By following the simple instructions that come in the cool looking wooden box, I was able to male the sword look like brand new. I must compliment the seller for the speedy delivery, it came a lot sooner that I expectecd. The quality is perfect, and the price was very affordable.
   I will give the highest rating possible to the seller and I wouldn't mind doing business with this seller again.



3. This set included everything pictured. My only complaints are that it does not include a very large bottle of polish, and that the wooden box is splintering off on one of the edges, so I have to be really careful not to break off that piece.



4. I ordered this for my brothers birthday gift and I am pleased on how fast it got here. It is in great condition and I am sure hes gonna love the gift! :)



5. Im glad I bought this, because it is essential to clean any high carbon steel blade. Otherwise it will rust due to the low corrosion resistance. Keep in mind that while this is a Japanese style cleaning kit, you dont have to use it only on Japanese style blades. It will still work very nicely on other swords, knives, etc. If your blade is already rusting, this kit will not help you. It only prevents the rust from forming in the first place.
   
   Included in this kit is everything the description says it does. Not only that, but it also has 2 spare bamboo mekugi pins and a mekuginuki (tiny hammer) for removing and putting in the mekugi pins for a Japanese sword. The top of the hammer can be unscrewed to act as a stake to help remove the pins. The powder should last a good while, but the oil comes in a very small bottle which wont last very long. It also only has 2 rice paper cloths, but they can be cut in half to make 4. This isnt a huge deal as you can use any soft disposable cloth to wipe the blade and apply the oil.
   
   The box is made out of a soft wood, but still in good condition. It did not arrive damaged in any way, nor was the kanji writing on the lid damaged or faded.
   
   I cant honestly say whether or not the oil and powder actually works, but I have yet to see my swords show any signs of corrosion. Therefore, im sure it does. Overall, im satisfied with this purchase and I do recommend it. I am giving it a full 5 stars because it is for what it should be. If this were a larger kit, I would take off a star due to it only having 2 cloths and a small bottle of oil. For nearly $5, id say this cleaning kit is defenatly worth the price.
