1. despite what you've seen in the movies, swords were never meant to cut trees. even a good axe will dull after hitting a green tree.
   
   this is obviously for display purposes. if you entertain fantasies of actually cutting people with swords, then you're probably crazy enough to spend the thousands for a real, quality weapon. this item is basically a shape, stamped out of 1/8th inch thick steel. it is very light; too light to cause any real harm. in an actual combat situation, you'd be better off with your bare fists, or even a swiss-army knife.
   
   however, if you're into collection for display, this is a nice cheapie that'll impress the casual onlooker.



2. Great blade, but the sheath breaks fast.
   
   The blade is quality and holds a good tang. Granted, it's not quite full tang, but with a few more ounces in the handle it would be. The blade has withstood some heavy use against trees and posts. Using the blade wrong will result in bending (mostly if the blade is swung while the flat is facing the line of motion.)
   
   The sheath broke within days of using the blade. The downfall of the sheath is the poor single-thread sewing between the rivets. Since the blade is sharp, it will tear those quickly.
   
   This item is great for someone who wants a light weight, yet reliable blade, and can use it with some basic knowledge of swordplay.



3. Looks great. Only issue is, its a little thin. Probly not to good for actual battle but nice all the same. Deffinetly worth the price.



4. I bought this sword a few months back. It is, obviously, very nice to look at. It's a very small sword, thin as described, and the wrap-cord handle shifts a bit when you hold it, but it's still pretty nice. If I had sharpened it, I can imagine the cloth sheath falling apart fairly fast. The serrated edge is very sharp on mine, while the rest of the blade is rather dull. That's a good thing, though, for a DISPLAY sword.
   Honestly people, unless you're willing to pay a lot of money, don't expect a sword to hold up against a tree. Like most of the weapons you can buy for under twenty dollars, this isn't meant for that.



5. Okay, so the picture of the sword is a bit misleading. Also the sheath is very fragile. If you want to play around with this sword, gets some duct tape and wrap the bottom of the sheath... trust me, it will last a bit longer this way. The cord wrapped around the handle is strong enough that you can use it to swing above your head, though this is unadvised.
   
   The sword is one solid black piece of stainless steel and seems very durable. It isn't very sharp, yet sharp enough that you want to watch where you swing it. Fast delivery, had it delivered in 3 days when amazon said it would arrive 6-10 days after purchase. Definitely a good purchase.

1. I would like to note I am NOT a fan of the Riddick movie, Though A blade this unique tends to get your attention reguardless! This knife is very practical, It's a solid piece of metal all around. I own a pair of these and used them on a grounded, wooden post for hours! Yet after my use they shown no sign of bends, Chips or dents! They shipped to me dull, But hey I don't mind sharpening them myself. A word of caution, You can seriously injure someone with these! Their odd form makes them very deadly if sharpened as well as mine are!



2. When the claws arrived I was speachless. They are even better in person than by photo. They arrived sharp enough to barely cut butter, but some time with a good sharpener will solve that. I'm so glad I got them.



3. Most "replica" type weapons in this price range are just made to sit pretty on a shelf or wall, not these. Made out a single piece of stainless steel, these are very solid knives. As the previous reviewers stated, these do come very dull, but a file, a sharpener and a couple of hours can fix that. Once sharpened these knives are very useable.



4. These knives got here in good time and as soon as I took them out of the box I knew I was going to love them. They're strong and great to play with. On top of everything else ive managed not to hurt myself or anyone else with them yet, so I love them.

1. A reasonable sword for a low price. It looks OK for a decoration, or a conversation piece. I would have liked to know the product was made in Pakistan and not Japan, but althings considered, I am not an actual Ninja so I don't have to slay any Bushido warriors with it. I use it as a table decoration.

1. coolness defenetly woth the buy just dont smack it hard against a three it will be damadged its pretty durable as long as you take care of it dont try to kil some one you cant by slicing but you can by stabing



2. The sword and sheath look really nice. As some others have stated, it is definitely not made for combat, just decorative (mainly due to the fact that the sword is fairly heavy, unbalanced, and not sharp). The stand also doesn't seem to want to stay up on it's own, so it might be a good idea to get a stand separately. But as for appearance, it LOOKS AWESOME. Definitely worth having to show off.



3. This sword is awsome. I don't know what to say, but when it arrived it was sharp as heck. This sword can cut through an 8 inch branch, and the blade doesn't bend or dent. It stays sharp. Good idea. Get it.



4. This is a great looking sword that is very stable. The metal is good but easy to damage so don't hit is off the blade of another sword. Also be careful not to hit it on something really hard because it's not full tang and it can break easier than other swords.
   Overall the sword is a great buy, it looks awesome and it's not too heavy to swing! Though I recommend for beginners to get a smaller or lighter one first.



5. The sword arrived in mint condition, really solid with the edge reversed. Its made outta 440 stainless steel. its handle is slightly longer and the blade slightly shorter den most standard 40" katana as the blade is only 39".
   
   Overall a good buy for its price and worth as a collector's item...

1. The product was of nice quality, arrived earlier than expected, was definately worth it's price.



2. My order arrived very quickly, so I was extremely excited to try it out!! I open the box to reveal my new purchase. I gripped the handle and slapped the tails against my leg only to be sprayed with a dusting of black paint chips. What did I find? That smell wafting out of the box wasn't the leather smell I had anticipated; it was SPRAY PAINT. I went to wash my hands of the black residue, and one of the tails fell into the water, the water started turning black. underneath all that spray paint, there is actual leather, as promised. It's a red/brown leather, but I can assume it is genuine nonetheless.
   
   This wasn't at all what I was hoping for, but I guess it depends on what you intend on using it for. If it is just a "for show" kind of item, then It's very presentable... but if you have other intentions, I'd think twice.



3. This is a classic item that has it's own style for fun. Must be used reasonably of course so avoid eye contact especially. This item gives multiple stimulation with little effort & with that added safety. The real cat's meow!



4. I bought this as a prop for my daugher in a play. The dye is not set and bleeds all over everything it touches. It will get on the hands and does not come off easily. Do not buy this item unles you don't care about shoddy products!

1. An excellent product for the price!! Quite functional and also good looking. I use it to polish my swords every time I do some tameshigiri and the entire kit works flawlessly. A great buy!!



2. Super fast shipping. Kit was nicer than pictured,oil in clay vase,lint free cloth instead of rice paper,and a set of replacement mekugi pegs. As well, a brass hammer and wooden driver pin for removeing pegs,and 2" powder ball all in a well marked wooden display box without splinters. Overall very nice for the money. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone in need of a quality sword cleaning kit! Thanks, Mike



3. I have no complaints about this sword cleaning kit, and found it had everything I need to clean my katana.



4. You get what you pay for, and ultimately this is exactly in that category. The kit is functional, though perhaps a bit lacking if you want something truly professional.
   
   However, that's as bad as it gets - I was looking for something to keep a few replica pieces oiled and in shape. This does a fine job. It's cheap and easy, and has everything you need to take care of a display blade.

5 comments about Folding Grappling Hook Ninja Gear.

1. the grappling hook works pretty well but the rope is worthless for climbing. definitely need some true climbing rope to tie on



2. The product was received VERY quickly, I think it was three days after ordering. It is good quality, and very useful.



3. Using it to help remove some tree from between 2 houses.
   Throwing the hook into limbs, a friend pulls on the rope, while I cut it.
   This way, we can control where it falls.
   Might find other uses in the future.



4. This is OK for use in tree cutting although I did bend one of the tines on it. But I wouldn't bet my life on it for rappeling. But for the price it is OK.



5. The grappling hook is a pretty decent product for the price. I have no clue if would be effective in scaling a wall or whatever it is that Ninja's do, but it does work for latching onto debris in my pond and some pond dredging. I have noticed that other reviewers have found this to be a useful tool in yard work. I suspect that this product may be marketed incorrectly. A real grappling hook such as used by SWAT, etc. can cost over a hundred dollars and there does not seem to be anything in between a professional grappling hook and the Ninja grappling hook. As a niche product, it works pretty well.
