  1. Excelent sword. really sharp, and nice sheath. seems to be one of the most practical swords on Amazon, along with the other full tang swords. the only problems is that the sholder and leg straps are hard to adjust and get on the sheath. another negitive is that it is still stainless steel, which is good but not as good as high carbon or spring steel, but still ok. great sword!
( handle is ok, but you could opt to cut off nylon and replace it with black wire tape )

  2. Nice lines for a shank ninja sword. Works well for rugged use in clearing brush. Not for combat or extreme applications. Cord wrapped handle will come apart after a moderate amount of heavy use. I've purchased a couple of these little swords and my first one broke in half after a very heavy (and unintented) impact with a brick. Still, nice lines and very heavy blade compared to similar models in this price range.

  3. This item is an inferior, cheaper version of Ontario's Black Wind swords. That being said, this isn't a bad item. Its makers certainly knew they were using inferior materials, and made the best thing they could anyway. The steel, while not very good, is thick and well designed for maximum durability. The scabbard is pretty useless for wear on the back, it's only good for its belt loop. It's also right handed only, which I find very stupid. It took a whole star off its rating. I threw the scabbard away entirely. Even if you're right handed, it's nothing special, and mine cracked at the edges the first time I drew the blade. Good sword for the price, very bad scabbard. If that's okay, get one.

  4. This United Cutlery version is much nicer than the similar slightly cheaper non-united versions.
Has a nice edge, full tang, has some curvature to the blade, and a nice angle to the secondary edge(tip).
It wouldn't be hard to 'razor edge' it for cutting exercises or just use it as is for other practice exercises ..of course be careful ;)

  5. I am not a big sword person. I don't collect them or anything. I like swords, just owning one was never a priority to me. I got an offer for free $30 bucks to use on amazon so I decided to get this. I like that it is shorter than a lot of the blades I see in various stores. The shorter length does add some usability vs a traditional katana or something like that.
It looks cool... I don't plan on taking on a group of ninjas anytime soon so that was the only criteria I used while shopping. Looks, and price.

The thing I don't get is how you are suppose to do the straps. There is no picture or instructions of any kind. There is a long strap that seems you are suppose to thread through the sheath long ways, and no clue what to do with the short strap.

I don't ever plan to wear it so that was not a big deal to me. If anyone can give me a link/picture to what it's suppose to look like I am sure I would figure it out.

  1. this is a beautiful knife, well made, and well balanced, right at your index finger about 1/4 inch behind the front end of the handle cord wrapping. The knife feels lively in the hand but the small size and weight make it feel like a steak knife for some reason. The tip is good, but in my thrusting tests , I bent the tip. But I think most knife of that size couldn't handle a thrust like that without the tip being damaged. Good knife, for its size.

  2. I was hesitant to buy this knife, wondering if I really needed it or if I should just wait until I go down to Baja and look for a cheap knife. I received it yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Very nice. It's light, fits and locks into its plastic type sheath very well. The sheath has slots and eyelets allowing you to fasten it in various locations easily. The shape of the knife with the arched handle and the ball at the end offer an excellent grip. I'm very happy I decided to buy this and highly recommend it!

  3. I bought this knife for the wife. It does chores very well like cutting open boxes, letters, and such. The steel maintains an edge well. The handle is a bit small, especially for large hands, however it's slimness and lightweight make it handy in many situations and it has thumb traction on the back of the blade to aid in the grip. It's actually more comfortable with a reverse grip providing a nice grasp on the ball with the thumb. The sheath has held it securely so far and it's been worn as a neck knife a time or two with out any trouble or discomfort.

  4. Realy like this piece, hard to say exactly why. It's just an extra thick steak knife, with a shiny ball on the base. Laguoile-style fixed blade dinner knifes are nearly identical in shape & function. The Cold Steel carry sheathe is very very cool -detailed, thin and apes the exotic blade shape well. Takes extra effort to pull blade from sheathe, which is good when carried in neck knife fashion, which I don't. It's not (not) too long to carry in a front pants pocket, IMO. However you can't pull any kind of quick draw Rambo stunt when carried that way, because the sheathe stubbornly stays with the blade.

Both of my index fingers will testify to the blade's hyper efficient sticky-stabby qualities...much like a....like a.... a fancy steak knife.

The top of the blade that's scalloped away in the middle is tempting to sharpen. Many owners do. I did within minutes of taking delivery. BE CAREFUL. I went to work on the scallop with a typical square handheld diamond sharpener. It sharpened right up, but I also put some deep scratches deeper down in the scallops, causing significant cosmetic damage. Blade is fatter than it first appears looking from the top down. Workmanship of knife & sheathe are excellent.

  5. I love this knife. It was razor sharp right out of the box and is balanced enough that a light throw drove it through a collapsed heavy cardboard box (one designed for storing clothes on hangers), the point of the knife sticking 1 1/2 - 2 inches out of the other side.

The Securex sheath has great retention and is ideal for attaching, inverted, to a tac vest or pack. Although advertised as a neck knife on the Cold Steel website, I personally find it a bit too long to be used as one and I am 6 feet tall.

All in all this is a great knife for the money. I would and have already recommended it to my friends.

  1. You need this.

To simply call it a bargain is not only an understatement, but practically an insult to my family and the shaolin temple. When innumerable henchmen are circling you in some martial arts tournament on a remote island, you aren't going to be wondering whether your seven bucks might have been better spent on a Belle and Sebastian record or the latest Stephanie Meyer paperback. No! You're going to be delivering an unbroken chain of perfectly placed blows as you wreck enemy after enemy in a prolonged series of one-on-one battles! You're gonna be fighting enemies until you think your arm is gonna fall off and Super Saver shipping will be the last thing on your mind!

Although if you order five of these, you do qualify for free Super Saver shipping.

  2. well the two i received had bent spikes a. plus the look like they where made for a body builder. they don't fit any one that has small hands.

  3. I've used a lot of triple-clawed Enemy Fighters in my time, and have grown tired with only having a single Death Spike. What am I supposed to do if my Death Spike becomes stuck in the nerve cluster of my enemy, and I don't have time to pull it out? That's why I was so glad to find this Enemy Fighter which has two (2) Death Spikes.

I was a bit disappointed though, because the product features section says this also has two (2) "Blood Spikes". This is untrue, they are simply referring to the Death Spikes as Blood Spikes. For those of us who need to carry at least two (2) Blood Spikes, IN ADDITION TO our supply of Death Spikes, this is big deal.

I am very displeased with this product, and will be buying all of my martial spikes elsewhere in the future.

  4. This is not the best death spike. The tip may tend to bend at times so when using this dont hit to hard and the thing you put you hand grapples on is way to big.

  5. i havent decided to waste my money on these but a freind has and ive goten paper cuts deeper than the fixed spikes can "impale." the ones you take out are almost imposible to grab and pull and get into a sutible position befor ur attaked but its preety bad ass lookin and i know i wouldent want to fight a guy with these straped to his arms...

  1. Maybe I'm blind or have a poor monitor but the picture looks as if the darts are flat. In reality they are round so you can imagine just how thick the ends are. You may think good, the weight will guide the point... wrong. if the darts had fletching on them then it would make them powerful. However the thick ends make it hard to stick into anything unless thrown with like a baseball which isn't practical for dart or knife throwing. You have to hold them as if you were throwing a knife, which I dont mind but I wanted darts to throw like a darts and I wanted them flat. Better off buying the thin spikes if you are looking for what I was. If not and my description sounds cool, power to you.

  1. The sword was below average, other fom the detail the scabbard, the sheath had a HUGE crack down the side the day I got it delivered to me.

  2. its ok but it doesn't have the black line thing on the other side and its barely sharp. also the blade is somewhat curved.

  3. The only problem was that it was a little dirty. But that is solved within 30 seconds with a cloth wipe. The blade is perfect, it has good weight to it, and is overall amazing.

I ordered from the lowest shipping cost, and got it fairly soon (estimate: 9-27th, I got it the 12th). Black stripe on both sides, Uchiha bubble good, (a little chipped, but its fine), AND, the scabbard's hole where you slide the sword in is slightly tear drop shaped, so I always know which was to put it in.

  4. Pros:
    Sleek and glossy finish
    Sword blade is two colored
Sword and sheath fit snug together
440 stainless steel blade is durable
Looks just like the sword in the manga
    Cheap

    Cons:
    Blade is not completely straight
The black paint on the blade chips easily
The paint on the scabbard also chips easily
    Blemish's on the blade itself
Sword feels awkward when holding it due to the shape of the handle.

Overall this is a great value and a must have for any Naruto collectors!

  5. My son received this for his birthday. He loves it. Exactly what he expected and arrived before it's estimate!!

  1. I bought this grappling hook as part of a costume piece, but after receiving it, I feel like I can actually use it to climb walls or swing over chasms! The hook itself has a good weight to it. Granted, I haven't actually tested it yet, nor would I actually want to. But in a life or death situation, I'm sure it could hold up well. I'm giving this product 4/5 stars because I replaced the rope it came with. I wanted a sturdier rope with a better load weight. But I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

  2. this Grappling hook holds up really well i use it to climb walls and trees and i feel safe using it

  3. Item was exactly what I was seeking...I had to remove a huge cypress limb from waist high water. It secured the limb allowing my son and me to inch the limb out to be sawed and carried off.

  1. The "Trademark 20-1300 Red/Black Ninja sword" is just meant for display only. The sword aesthetically is nice but to use this other than a display would be unwise. The strap in which came with the cord wrapped wood scabbard broke the first time I wore it. The blade itself is not a full tang (the length of the blade from tip to handle), so using it for practice isn't advised as well. The scabbard is flat and not rounded for an easy grip so it's hard to carry without a strap. Finally, the blade is thick so it makes the sword a little heavy. Like the tag states, it's a nice looking sword for display only.

  2. First off, there is no edge on this sword. The seller claims it is "dangerously sharp" but the handle would cut something before the "blade" ever did. The "edge" has literally been ground flat, so this sword does not come sharp. When I received mine today, that was the first thing I noticed, along with a few dings and chunks of metal missing in the blades "edge". There are pits and impact(??) marks all over the blade, as well as a very tacky "Stainless Pakistan" mark embossed into the metal. The image for the product depicts a nice looking sword, with a polished mirror finish, and yet the one they sent me just barely reflects direct light. I am sending this back. It's not even suitable for display. Never buying from this seller again.

  3. I received my sword in nice condition, not perfect, but good enough. It is a very nice sword, good design, but I feel it is mostly for display, and entertainment. The reason i say this is because the sword edge is not sharp at all, but it feels pretty sturdy. all and all, i would buy this sword if you want a low cost sword just for messing around.. or for display.

  4. This was my first sword, I bought it about a year or two ago. Right out of the box the blade was as dull as the reverse side. The gaurd was actually sharper than the blade, with both being crooked. It's obviously not full-tang and the strap broke the first day. I can see why they lowered the price from $50. I paid $13 for it and still feel as if I wasted my money. Avoid this sword.

  5. this is a good sword when you don't plan to use it, its blade is not sharpen and it's handle would be easily broken when used, so I recommend this product if you plan just to hang it on your wall or show it to your friends.

  1. these claws are flawed in there design. they are intended for BOTH defence and climbing but they will not work for climbing the the upward pull of the tree and your weight on the claw causes the metal back to dig viciously into the back of your hand. teribly designed.

  2. I'm just starting out with my own ninja training, and despite what my friend Irving thinks we aren't anywhere near ready to take out a classified ad in Soldier of Fortune magazine yet. I think we should take at least one more summer Tai Chi class at the rec center first, especially since it's free for students. Anyway, I don't really feel qualified as a professional ninja or anything but I do want to let you know what I've learned about Ninja Hand Claws so far.

I had a cast party at my house for Drama club and my only pair of scissors literally *broke* while Irving and I were setting the decorations. Actually, I was setting the decorations while Irving played Hitman II on PlayStation, even though the cast party at my house was Irving's idea and he promised he'd help me out with things when he volunteered me for it. What a dope. I should probably explain that Irving and I are only in Drama club because we wanted some action, since there are a lot of hotties in Drama club and not too many other guys there that are even remotely interested in girls, if you know what I mean. Plus there aren't any football players in sight. This makes the ratio of normal guys to hotties a whole lot better than you typically see in the general school population. Just wanted to set things straight, which I also happen to be. So anyway while Irving and I are getting ready for this drama party, I set the scissors down to go get more crepe paper and Irving decided it'd be really funny to throw the scissors into my dart board, which I have to admit might have been funny except that he missed the dart board altogether and the scissors flew right into the side of my basement wall. When that happened the bolt right in the center of the scissors cracked in two and instead of a pair of scissors I had two individual scissor blades with completely impossible oval ring grips, not the sort of tool that you can use to make streamers or confetti, or even do any realistic Ninja knife-fighting or anything. Totally useless.

Fortunately I had my NINJA HAND CLAW available and Irving and I were able to hold several pieces of paper tight between us while I ran the claw length-wise a few times, making rough but functional confetti for the party. It really tore the paper more than cutting it, but finally we actually got a couple of buckets of confetti, which is exactly what we needed. The crepe paper itself for making streamers was way too thin for cutting with a Ninja hand Claw, but fortunately you can tear it pretty easily anyway and we were just being silly at that point. Considering our excellent decorations we had a completely successful party, except for one thing. Later in the evening Irving had been partying way too much and he plopped down on the waterbed with my Ninja Hand Claw still right there on the corner, popping the waterbed which completely ruined my chances of getting any action after the drama party, if you know what I mean. I mean, once your bed is soaking wet, and if your only other alternatives are old garage-sale bar stools and a bean bag with a hole in it and an old pool table, it's really kind of hard to make your move. Besides, everybody thought it was really creepy that I had a Ninja hand claw lying ON my bed, not IN my bed as Irving kept saying, but once the joke went around that Howard has a love glove nobody was listening to what I said about only setting the Ninja Hand Claw down there for a minute anyway. So because Irving was such a jerk all the girls got embarrassed and went home early, leaving me with Irving and a couple of those "drama queen" drama guys I was mentioning earlier. I was really hoping they didn't think Irving was serious about me using my Ninja Hand Claw as a love glove, so to underscore the point that I'm training to be a prefessional ninja I got a couple of throwing stars and sat there throwing them into my dartboard while they all sat and watched the E! channel, which Irving was totally into by the way. Hmmmmm. Anyway, these guys wouldn't take a hint about going home themselves until Irving started projectile vomiting on the stairs about an hour later. I swear Irving's my best friend but even I don't like him that much.

So anyway I don't know how well these Claws work for the practicing Ninja warrior but I can verify that they cut confetti really nicely. Just keep them away from Irving, or your waterbed and your reputation as a ladies man will be shot. Seriously. Plus Irving will probably fall asleep on your bean bag while you clean up the confetti, waterbed water, and human vomit, and you'll probably wind up sleeping under the pool table without getting any action at your own drama party. You ought to consider this very carefully before ordering!!!

  3. Though not purchased on-line [my set I've owned for over 20 years!] there's some speculation at to their use and how these fit overall into Taijutsu combat tactics...

Firstly, yes- the metal band that makes up the body of the devise has the excrussiating ability to dig into the practitioner's hands- hence most often padding is required either on the practitioner's hands or wrapped atround the devise itself- I managed to get around the "digging" issue by using a set of "Reactor gloves" [remember, this was the late 70s to early 1980s]that had built in padding along the fingers and back of the hand...

For combat tactics, it's best to remember that most tactical scenerios center around a person avoiding contact with the "enemy" [or bully or burgaler or mugger, et al...] and if one were to be wearing their "Tiger Claws" during an altercation with some ruffian or "enemy"- the slashing and tearing effect of the claws were simply as a diversionary and/or intimidation tool to keep thier attacker at bay long enough to effect a reliable escape.

With the exception of slashing, the back of the devise [provided the wearer's hands were gloved as mentioned earlier] could be used as a cudgel or "sap" in lew of any other weapon that may have to be brought out of a pocket or storage during a fast altercation.

Overall, an effective climbing devise [with obvious modification of either it or the wearer] but only a low to moderate close assault tool. If nothing else, they are a contemporized form of a tool from a by-gone era and an instumental learning example of the skill and strength that the Shadow Warrior of Iga and such provinces had to muster to survive their temultuous period of history

  4. these are really good for the price. for one , wear thick gloves or itll hurt , they will take alot of getting used to and practice, but when you get better , they rawk. the claws come very sharp, but are useless on branchless bottom trees with no foot claws. good luck!
