- these claws are flawed in there design. they are intended for BOTH defence and climbing but they will not work for climbing the the upward pull of the tree and your weight on the claw causes the metal back to dig viciously into the back of your hand. teribly designed.
- I'm just starting out with my own ninja training, and despite what my friend Irving thinks we aren't anywhere near ready to take out a classified ad in Soldier of Fortune magazine yet. I think we should take at least one more summer Tai Chi class at the rec center first, especially since it's free for students. Anyway, I don't really feel qualified as a professional ninja or anything but I do want to let you know what I've learned about Ninja Hand Claws so far.
I had a cast party at my house for Drama club and my only pair of scissors literally *broke* while Irving and I were setting the decorations. Actually, I was setting the decorations while Irving played Hitman II on PlayStation, even though the cast party at my house was Irving's idea and he promised he'd help me out with things when he volunteered me for it. What a dope. I should probably explain that Irving and I are only in Drama club because we wanted some action, since there are a lot of hotties in Drama club and not too many other guys there that are even remotely interested in girls, if you know what I mean. Plus there aren't any football players in sight. This makes the ratio of normal guys to hotties a whole lot better than you typically see in the general school population. Just wanted to set things straight, which I also happen to be. So anyway while Irving and I are getting ready for this drama party, I set the scissors down to go get more crepe paper and Irving decided it'd be really funny to throw the scissors into my dart board, which I have to admit might have been funny except that he missed the dart board altogether and the scissors flew right into the side of my basement wall. When that happened the bolt right in the center of the scissors cracked in two and instead of a pair of scissors I had two individual scissor blades with completely impossible oval ring grips, not the sort of tool that you can use to make streamers or confetti, or even do any realistic Ninja knife-fighting or anything. Totally useless.
Fortunately I had my NINJA HAND CLAW available and Irving and I were able to hold several pieces of paper tight between us while I ran the claw length-wise a few times, making rough but functional confetti for the party. It really tore the paper more than cutting it, but finally we actually got a couple of buckets of confetti, which is exactly what we needed. The crepe paper itself for making streamers was way too thin for cutting with a Ninja hand Claw, but fortunately you can tear it pretty easily anyway and we were just being silly at that point. Considering our excellent decorations we had a completely successful party, except for one thing. Later in the evening Irving had been partying way too much and he plopped down on the waterbed with my Ninja Hand Claw still right there on the corner, popping the waterbed which completely ruined my chances of getting any action after the drama party, if you know what I mean. I mean, once your bed is soaking wet, and if your only other alternatives are old garage-sale bar stools and a bean bag with a hole in it and an old pool table, it's really kind of hard to make your move. Besides, everybody thought it was really creepy that I had a Ninja hand claw lying ON my bed, not IN my bed as Irving kept saying, but once the joke went around that Howard has a love glove nobody was listening to what I said about only setting the Ninja Hand Claw down there for a minute anyway. So because Irving was such a jerk all the girls got embarrassed and went home early, leaving me with Irving and a couple of those "drama queen" drama guys I was mentioning earlier. I was really hoping they didn't think Irving was serious about me using my Ninja Hand Claw as a love glove, so to underscore the point that I'm training to be a prefessional ninja I got a couple of throwing stars and sat there throwing them into my dartboard while they all sat and watched the E! channel, which Irving was totally into by the way. Hmmmmm. Anyway, these guys wouldn't take a hint about going home themselves until Irving started projectile vomiting on the stairs about an hour later. I swear Irving's my best friend but even I don't like him that much.
So anyway I don't know how well these Claws work for the practicing Ninja warrior but I can verify that they cut confetti really nicely. Just keep them away from Irving, or your waterbed and your reputation as a ladies man will be shot. Seriously. Plus Irving will probably fall asleep on your bean bag while you clean up the confetti, waterbed water, and human vomit, and you'll probably wind up sleeping under the pool table without getting any action at your own drama party. You ought to consider this very carefully before ordering!!!
- Though not purchased on-line [my set I've owned for over 20 years!] there's some speculation at to their use and how these fit overall into Taijutsu combat tactics...
Firstly, yes- the metal band that makes up the body of the devise has the excrussiating ability to dig into the practitioner's hands- hence most often padding is required either on the practitioner's hands or wrapped atround the devise itself- I managed to get around the "digging" issue by using a set of "Reactor gloves" [remember, this was the late 70s to early 1980s]that had built in padding along the fingers and back of the hand...
For combat tactics, it's best to remember that most tactical scenerios center around a person avoiding contact with the "enemy" [or bully or burgaler or mugger, et al...] and if one were to be wearing their "Tiger Claws" during an altercation with some ruffian or "enemy"- the slashing and tearing effect of the claws were simply as a diversionary and/or intimidation tool to keep thier attacker at bay long enough to effect a reliable escape.
With the exception of slashing, the back of the devise [provided the wearer's hands were gloved as mentioned earlier] could be used as a cudgel or "sap" in lew of any other weapon that may have to be brought out of a pocket or storage during a fast altercation.
Overall, an effective climbing devise [with obvious modification of either it or the wearer] but only a low to moderate close assault tool. If nothing else, they are a contemporized form of a tool from a by-gone era and an instumental learning example of the skill and strength that the Shadow Warrior of Iga and such provinces had to muster to survive their temultuous period of history
- these are really good for the price. for one , wear thick gloves or itll hurt , they will take alot of getting used to and practice, but when you get better , they rawk. the claws come very sharp, but are useless on branchless bottom trees with no foot claws. good luck!

- THIS IS A VERY HOT ITEM.. LARGE TANTO KNIFE REAL NICE, FULL SIZE MADE WELL MADE. AND ALL EXTRAS LIKE SMALL THROWING RODS, AND ROAD STUDS WHEN SOMEONE ON A CAHSE FOR YOU ! SHE REAL HEAVY WEIGHT WITH REAL COOL SHEATH TO NOT THE CHEAP CLOTH BLK. ONES NEITHER.. I GOING GET ME ANOTHER REAL SOON THIS HOT DEAL ! SUPER FAST SHIPPING GOT IT 2 DAYS AND ON HALOWEEN EVE SO DON'T BE TICK OR TREATING MY HOODTONITE ! I'AM WELL PREPARED.
- I purchased this knife for a mission my brethren and I were undertaking in the Japanese countryside. The blade to my last knife was broken in half when, in a moment of carelessness, I zigged when I should have zagged, allowing one of my 18 opponents to momentarily disarm me. As I performed numerous backflips to escape their attacks, the knife was thrown at me by almost as experienced a ninja as I, and I was forced to roundhouse kick the knife whilst flying at me, snapping the blade in half. Luckily, I was able to front kick the falling blade tip back at the thrower, killing him instantly.
I knew that with the throwing spikes and caltrops, I was making a sound investment.
As we approached the palace, I was struck by the stylishness of the sheath as it rested against my black belt. Sexy and stealthy are no longer mutually exclusive. The knife's even weight allows it to fly perfectly through the air, and much like me, it does not make a sound when it does its thing. I swear I could throw this knife through a glass window and it wouldn't create a sound, because it's for a ninja. Also, since I'm a ninja, I wouldn't do that. Unless, of course, there was an enemy ninja on the other side of said window.
Again and again, as we stormed the palace, this knife performed wonderfully. Through fabric, chairs, and, of course, lesser skilled ninjas, I felt comfortable knowing that my honor would be safe, thanks to this wonderful tool.
I've already purchased two more of these for fellow ninjas. One of them is turning 37 next week, the other's son is having his Bahmitzfa.
- OK i got this for my b-day and it was awesome. One of the best presents i have gotten. It is very very sturdy the throwing spikes are really really good and the knife itself with a secret knife is amazing. Just looking at the nicely designed sheath makes me feel safer. Don't have doubts about this item it is AMAZING!!!!
- I got mine and i was very excited when i went to the post office.... but then i opened it :( :( and i was missing a thowing spike and the Caltrops :( so i had to do without on my missions, which they would have been VERY useful against the dogs that were in the back yard of the mansion that i was at :( but oh well i took care of them the Ninja way... so ya if your going to buy this make sure you have back up weapons cuz you may need to use them if YOURS doesnt come with everything....

- This is the cutest utility belt ever. I got it for a friend who acted like a ninja, and now she actually looks like one. Thanks.
Note: know that the pockets of this utility belt are closed by velcro, which if you're creeping in the shadows, or in a air duct, will INFACT get you caught. Just a thought.
- If you actually would like to receive the item you purchased do not buy from this company !
The parcel if you lucky enough for it to even arrive at all will get to you weeks after the promised delivery date and once it actually arrives the documentation is in such disarray as to prevent you from actually claiming it from the post office...
I have to say you guys certainly left an impression on me ! I will never do any form of business with you again !
- Well...have to say, this was a very disappointing product. It did arrive on time as promised. But, it is poorly made compared to other Ninja belts I've seen. It also stinks. The odor seems to be related to the cheap material. I'm thinking about returning the two that I've purchased. In my star rating system, these are a big zero.
- My friend has this and it is strong great material and great for carrying any hand sized ninja tool!
- I ordered this belt and paid the 15.95 extra for shipping now it's been a week and I've still not gotten anything, I asked for a refund on the shipping and let them know that if they did not refund my money I would report them and now they have erased my order like it didn't happen.

- they are kwel but they wont stay on longer then a couple sec's without a velcro strap.otherwise it could make a good ninja weapon
- These are really just a novelty item and there priced that way. If you actually want something that will aid you in either walking on soft terrain or climbing something I'd suggest looking into buy either a pair of crampons, or tree spurs. Both items are different, crampons are closest to what these represent but the spurs will actually help you climb.
crampons - petzl makes good products as well
Petzl Vasak 12-Point Mountaineering Crampon
I don't own these so i can rate them but just an example of the climbing spurs
Wolf Claw Climbing Spurs with Tote Bag
- Ok let's be honest about these... No way in all of hell are you going to climb something with these. They look cool, the metal's very sturdy, the spikes are relatively sharp and could be sharpened more... The foot spikes may work if there was a better way to strap them to your feet, but the hand claws would crush your hand bones under your own weight, no way someone's going to climb with these. Better off with your bare hands.
- I bought these spikes to assist in climbing trees, but it does not really matter what I intended to climb; they will not stay on my feet. I tried tying them multiple times, multiple ways, on both my tennis shoes, work boots, and tabi boots, and they just fell off after a few steps. One would have to use a lot of tape to make these stay on; it's just not worth the hassle. Since they don't stay on, they are also useless in combat.

- These worked a lot better than I initially expected them to. I expected that I would have to make all sorts of heavy modifications, but no, for the most part they worked right out of the box.
There is the problem of the metal "ring" digging into your hand while climbing. This can be alleviated with minimal padding. I'm personally a bit light so I didn't need all that much to keep it from bothering me. Pretty much a pair of gloved with a little foam sewn onto the back did the trick.
Four stars because they work well without changing them, but I needed to buy some gloves to really use them.
- These "Ninja Hand Claw Climbing Tigers Spikes" are designed with the hard-working governmental employee in mind. Although some may doubt their quality of construction or practicality in the real world, I assure any doubtful buyers that these were the deciding factor in many of my recent assignments around the world. When my only escape route took me to a 20ft brick wall, I left my cyanide capsule in my pocket because I had these bad boys strapped to my hands. They work well both in cold weather (northern Russia) and hot weather (Australia) so next time you're called to go anywhere to kill anyone at anytime, make sure to put these "Climbing Tigers Spikes" in your bag!
- I have always wanted some of these since I was a kid, and when my wife needed a few more dollars to get free shipping, she told me to find something to buy. I bought these not realizing that they were not worth the metal they were made out of. I guess I should have read the reviews. Like the others said, they will not work for climbing, as they will cut the back of your hand when any weight is applied. The oval where the spikes are is much too large to be comfortable. The points are not sharp, which would be okay if the rest of it worked as it should. Stay away from these.
- they hurt your hand there all metal and bend back and hurt the back of your hands
- Using these claws for the purpose of actually climbing a tree is an absolute pain, in both the figurative and literal sense. The strap that goes around the wrist is short; I am unable to secure it before putting my hand through, and have to fumble with the strap with one hand after placing it on my wrist. The ends felt very sharp, but still have trouble digging into the bark of most common-variety trees. One needs to 'hug' the tree to get a good grip with the claws. If the claws are able to hook in, any pressure applied away from the fingers causes the thick metal loop to dig into the back of your hand, quickly making it too painful to climb anything. The only things that keep this from getting a one-star in my book is that they can be climbed with, and could serve as okay hand-to-hand combat weapons.

- This is a must for crazy campers like me. We used it to zip-line. I am not responsible for anyone who hurts and/or kills themselves from me saying that. It's fun, but should be left to people who know what they're doing (and have health insurance).
I've also used it to scale steep hillsides with trees. It's so fun and since it comes with rope, it's a complete package of fun.
- came fast and fun to play with wish it locked a bit better but it folding so yeah didnt really trust the rope that came with it tied nots in it to use for clibing use the rope in a pinch other then that i use my 150ft caving rope with it for raplleing and such when i want an extra ancor to be safe great fun product
- The rope is unclimbable. unless u own some kind of gloves that have SPIKES on em or something, this rope slips out of your hands, even if ur wearing grip gloves, as if it where smeared in butter. durable, though.
- Would not trust my life with it. Broke the first time used. Bolt appears to be a "pot metal" and snapped.
- i was suprised but this acrtually is a sturdy and well made grappling hook that works, i got it for fun but im shure it would last a long time

5 comments about Black Mini Night Watchman Kubotan Keychain.
- the product arrived in a timely fashion, was well packaged, and was exactly what i expected.
- While I have never owned this product or another kubotan with a knife inside, I have owned a normal flat-tipped kubotan for about three years now and had professional martial arts/self defense/police tactics training with it for the first of those three years, so consider my background when you read this review...
While I fully believe a kubotan is an EXCELLENT thing to learn how to use for self-defense for men and women alike, I fully believe that a kubotan that unscrews to hold a knife is completely impractical. How often will you have the oppotunity to unscrew the cap for the blade or even flip a pop-cap version around to the blade before you're attacked? My guess is never. More than likely, you won't even know the attack is coming if they know what they're doing, and so you need an immediate (I wish I could underline the word "immediate" to show the gravity of that term...) response to the attack. I standard kubotan is much more practical and prevents the risks of accidental damage to yourself should you fumble with it in a moment of high stress.
My opinion, whether considered professional or not, would be to buy a regular kubotan and find a martial arts or self-defense instructor that is educated and capable to teach you how to effectively use it. I had a 4th degree blackbelt in "hybrid styles" (he owns his own dojo and was given his 4th degree by counsil decision, his 3rd degree was in American Karate) teaching me, so I can tell you from experience that you will come out of it with some pain and bruises, but also invaluable experience that could save your life one day.
- Came on time, good condition, very handy keychain knowing it could hurt someone really bad if attacked or something. I like it. thumbs up and don't leave home without it.
- The Kubotan I received is totally different from the one listed in the image in the product page. The blade is in silver not black, and is not sharp at all compared to my little Victorinox Swiss Army Classic Pocket Knife. Unfortunately I bought 2 pieces from this Kubotan. you should buy a normal Kubaton at least it is cheaper and you will get what you see.

- i don't know too much about these weapons but this one seems to get the job done. you can stick your thumb through the key loop for better grip. when you hold it that way there is a good 2 inches or so sticking out. the item is made of very hard plastic, doesnt seem like it would easily break.
- It'll get the job done. It won't stay pretty black though, the paint will wear & scratch off eventually.

5 comments about Folding Grappling Hook Ninja Gear.
- Very good item. It comes in two pieces I attached the hook to the rope using an anchor knot and it has held my weight. It's an awesome product that i strongly recommend to all that have ever wanted one or just want something in your room that starts conversations with: "Do you know why I love you?" (pointing to grappling hook).
- I bought the Grappling Hook with the idea of using it to snag tree limbs and branches that I cut down on a hillside on my property. The incline of the hill is very steep and difficult to walk on. A pole pruner allows me to reach out over the hillside to cut the branches then, I snag them and pull them up the hill to dispose of properly. The combination of the Grapple Hook and the pruner makes short work of an otherwise tiring project. The Hook is very rugged and performs perfectly. I strongly recommend this product in this type of application.
- After purchasing this grappling hook, I put it through a few tests, and was very please with how it performed. The device easily supported my weight, which I tested by throwing the grapple up and around a tree branch and swinging on it. The four prongs are sharp, and grabbed the branch rather well. The grapple held fast after a minute or two of holding my weight. I then tested it by climbing about 15 feet up. The rope is thin, but strong, and provides a good grip for climbing.
While out hiking a few weeks ago with a friend, I decided to climb a steep rock face, with some vegetation growing off it. I had almost made it to the top, but a large boulder was in the way, so I decided to head back down. I reached a point where the grade was too steep to descend, so I had my friend take the grapple out of his pack and throw it up to me. I hooked both ends together, and lowered myself down to the base of the slope. I was very glad to have purchased this tool, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid grappling hook.
- ...but not bad for a small cheap anchor or for grabbing hold of debris to pull it clear searching for IED's. Dump the rope and use 550 parachute cord. It will also pull down barbed wire from the top of a wall or you can use it to open a gate without exposing yourself. Don't try hooking it up to a vehicle though cuz then it will come apart. It folds to make a nice flat package but it definitely ain't a SMALL package!
- PURCHASED THIS TO REMOVE SOME SMALL TREE ROOTS. ONE OF THE HOOKS BENT ON FIRST TRY. NOT STURDY AT ALL. USED SMALL SPADE TO REMOVED THE ROOT!

- Well i sure got what i payed for, it looked toatly sick when i first took it out of the package, but minutes later the string that made up the handle cover had come unraveld so i had to use a hotglue gun to stick it back on, how lame is that? but besides that its pre-sharped and toatly deadly thou i can only imagine how bad the re-coil the thing would have if you hit something with it,(shudder) its realy just a single piece of steel(i hope its steel)with some string for a handle so youd REALY feel the vibration from any impact with it. my advice just use if for show.
- I thought it was going to be a piece of metal. I was originally going to give it to my little brother. But, after taking it out of the box, it was a bit more than I expected. I believe it could be a weapon of stealth. Something that can be used while you hide in the shadows. Not for those classic swordsman duels, for it probably wouldn't withstand direct attack. But it is practical, and sharp. I suggest buying it. Its worth the fifteen dollars. Trust me.
- This is not a sword, it is a cheap knockoff. It has a certain sharpness to it, but not enough to make it efficient at doing what a sword is supposed to do. It is also very poorly constructed. Buyer beware. Cheap Chinese knockoff, looks cool - but is useless as a weapon - useless.
- im not a sword enthusiast as most that purchase this type of item are; however i got it as part of a combat kit i keep for emergencies, and i must admit this was a nice addition for the price. as others said its not a dueling sword you arent gonna fend off many blade wielding attackers, however it does what it needs to.
i did have to sharpen it with one of those hand sharpeners, a few passes and it was good enough. the tip is extremely sharp out of the box, as are the serrated edges.
however even without a razor sharp blade it easily passed the watermelon test. one quick swipe and a clean cut straight through. (also an apple core. tossed and sliced in mid air)
only problem, thats been mentioned before, is that the cord wraped handle is display purposes only. my first no contact swing caused it to almost come out of my hand; my advice? get some grip tape (like for hockey sticks) and wrap it OVER the cord, ensuring complete handle coverage and you will fid that this is one decent last resort/close quarters/stealth weapon.
- this was pretty cool it is nice and lightweight the tip and the serrated edges are very sharp the blade could use a litte extra shapening itself.the handle has pretty good grip but doesnt absorb the shock very well. the string on the handle comes off a little sometimes but other than that it is a great product
