- This mouthguard looks great, but it isn't for people that have braces. :(
- Great piece of safety equipment. What can I say if you want to keep your teeth get one and a spare. Only four stars as the instructions for the set up of the item were a little vague when it came to which way is up and down. Sounds silly but had me guessing.

- Very good products for young sporty active boy (my son is 12 y/o). He said he liked the extra safety that he has now with full contact sports. The breathing though is another story. He said he has to take it out every little now and then to get a good breather. All in all a good product, but has to come up with a new way of breathing while in mouth.
- this mouthguard is awesome.
you almost do not feel it at all during activity and you might forget it is in your mouth after a while.
i would pay twice as much for this piece. :)
- it is smaller than it seemed, but apart from that i am happy with the product
- I use it for martial arts and works great, good fit although I had to 'boil it' twice because the first time it did not fit great. Im not too crazy about the fact they advertise it as clear/black and i got it pink/clear but it does the job
- this mouth guard is really small but i planned to cut a regular mouth guard to this size anyways. this is very good and the extra padding on the bottom is perfect. very good product.

- I've always had trouble finding a mouthguard that would form and fit my mouth well when fighting. I've gone through dozens of cheapo mouthguards and don't have the money to get a custom made mouthguard, so I finally decided to pick up a shock doctor and I have to say I'm very pleased with the product. The guard has this blue gel which when boiled becomes very soft and molds to your teeth during the forming process for an extra tight fitting. Of all the mouthguards I've ever used, this is the best I've ever used.
- This one is good, but for fit and protection I prefer the cheaper (yet better) version called "Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouth Guard"

- I bought this thinking I could cut it down and that it would fit my 6 year old son. It does not fit even with cutting it like the instructions say. You're going to have to look for a specific "childrens" mouth guard. I'm looking into the Shock Doctor line of guards.
- It is made for a small mouth (or maybe my husband just has a big mouth)as far as the area around the teeth but you would need a wide mouth for the area between the teeth. I hope that isn't too confusing. It just didn't fit very well or comfortably but others may find it suitable.
- I have used this for martial arts sparing and the hole in the center makes it easy for breathing with the mouth piece in. It protects upper and lower well.
- I lost my last mouthpiece. It was a single layer, and I have seen a lot of people with double layers, so I went out and bought both a Century single layer, and this Everlast double (only double in the store).
Let me tell you, this thing is terrible. I spent around an hour trying to shape this thing, but it's just impossible. The distance between the front row and the back (where your teeth go) is wayyy too big. There's no way to form to both sides of your teeth... unless you have molars for your front teeth. This makes it impossible to make a solid fit, so unless you're always chomping down on it, it's going to fall out during sparring.
And yes, I did push with my tongue during forming (tried numerous times), but it's just too wide.
If that wasn't bad enough, there's not enough plastic to run all the way to your gums. This also means this thing is going to fall out the second you stop biting down. It also means it's poor protection.
The only thing they did right was the hole where you're suppose to breath through. Seems adequate.
So to wrap it up, this piece of junk is completely useless. Even if your mouth is small, this still wont work because there's no way to get it form to both side of your teeth.
At least I have that Century single layer one. That works fine.
- do you know teeth are very important, what would happen if they got knocked out......well i for one don't want to find out so i bought this little mouthpiece, and i must say it doing it's job quite well!!!

- I train in Mixed Martial arts and this case hooks to my training bag so I always have my mouth piece.
- this product is very good. i did not know it had a whole in the botton for the mouth guard strap. my mouth guard has no strap so this is kind of pointless since dirt can still get in when in my bag. i put some tape over it and it works just fine. other than the whole the product is very good.

- This is the best mouthgaurd I have tried. It is far better than the clear plastic guard from the 1900's. Also better than the modern clear double mouthguards.
With this guard I can talk, breath and have good protection. Breathing is helped by the way it leaves a small gap at the front between the top and bottom teeth.
The multiple types of material help to absorb varying degrees of shock. The soft gel works for light impact, and the harder rubber kicks in for the hard impact (on a hard hit I actually felt this happen).
- I bought this for my 7 year old son for lacrosse. It was a bit bulky in his mouth (the reason for the 4 stars), but it did the job...until he wore it for his first game. He walked off the field with the thing chewed to bits. because of the double layers there were pieces actually coming off that he could have choked on. so i went and bought a new mouth guard, but this time a regular shock doctor that i'm hoping will last longer. had he not chewed on it, there would have not been a reason to get a new one, but, boys will be boys.
- Mouth guards are key for any contact sport. I am an amature/recreational boxer and spar occasionally, and this has definitely saved my teeth on several occasions. I have also been hit without this mouth guard on, and have noticed a significant difference in impact after putting it on. If you clinch your teeth in during competition this will definitely prevent any possibility of breaking teeth.
Only thing I can complain about is that when I get hit in the mouth my inner lips get torn up. This is really a lot better than losing teeth though. Great product, and fitting was fast and easy (i did it with a Styrofoam cup of water boiled in microwave in about 5 minutes... very easy).
