  1. I really like this mat for travel. It is only 1/16" thick and can be folded and put in my suitcase. It is durable and sticky, great for practice in my hotel room, or on the beach.
I agree this isn't a standard mat. THINK TRAVEL. I have also used it under another mat for additional cushion or traction.
It cleans easily, doesn't smell, has a great color, nice texture and can fold!

  2. I should start off by saying that I have not been practicing yoga very long and most (but not all) of my yoga practice has been through DVDs. This is the first yoga mat that I have purchased, so I don't have much to compare it to. I bought it because, when I do yoga at home, my hands slip on my carpet - especially when I am doing the downward facing dog position.
I thought that this mat would be okay for me as a starter mat (if there is such a thing), since I'm still experimenting with yoga a little and I do not do yoga regularly. I wasn't sure that I was ready to invest in a more expensive mat. But, I guess you get what you pay for...
My hands still slip when I use this mat, which is sort of frustrating, and the mat doesn't really serve it's purpose for me.
So, I agree with the other reviewers that said that this is probably not the best choice for someone looking for a yoga mat for regular use. I guess it may be a good back-up mat to have in the car in case of a "yoga emergency."

  3. I am a yoga teacher and own 28 of these mats. There are two types of manufactured mats, and one is better than the other. One of the mats has the tag (logo) located on the bottom left, and this is the better mat. It's durable and you have good traction. The other has the tag located on the top right side. This mat is a little like taffy, it stretches and bunches up when you stand in warrior pose, but it does have good traction and your feet won't slip. I hope this helps anyone interested in the mat.

  4. The mat itself is very thin so I ended up having to find a yoga blanket for additional cushioning. Considering the price I guess I can't be too disappointed, but for my first yoga mat it does the trick.

  5. This mat is a perfect second mat. It's way too thin to place on a hard floor alone. It's perfect for putting on top of the smelly mat at the gym or using it at work on the carpeted floor. It is also so thin that you can sort of fold it into a bulky square instead of rolling it. That way you don't have to use one of those yoga roll bags if you don't want to.

  1. Great product & must have for any camper! Sets up quickly & provides great sleep no matter what ground your tent is on. My husband is pretty sensitive with rocks & twigs & loves these pads as he can hardly feel any discomfort.

  1. I was very happy with every aspect of their product, great descriptions, good promotions and sales, and friendly customer service. I wrote to the site to thank them - something I rarely do because I expect good service - but they went above and beyond. They wrote me back quickly thanking me for the letter and my order and telling me that every order is treated as special and they welcomed my business again.

They will get it. Not only do they have a huge variety of items, many of which I am interested in, but they have fair prices, good sales, and great, friendly customer service.

I am going with a rare 5 stars for this company. There is very little to complain about especially when everything went so smoothly before, during, and after the transaction.

  2. I was given this Body Trends Sticky Yoga Mat as a gift. Were they trying to tell me something?? Anyway, I'm not much for exercising but I do do alot of camping out. This mat is fantastic! The ol' man and me both have them now. They don't take up any room in the back of my truck so we think they're just the best.
I suppose you could use them for yoga, but why would you want to?

  1. The Yoga mat bag is great. The quality is good and such a nice color. They're delivery was efficient so I'm a very happy customer !

  2. I emailed to let them know I hadn't received the item and they responded right away to tell me it wasn't shipped and issued a prompt credit to my credit card. Great customer service and will gladly do business with this company again.

  3. I really like this bag! The color combo is so pretty, and the embroidery looks great! I am keeping a 1/4" Hugger Mugger mat in it and an eye bag in the pocket. The fit is a bit tight, but everything's in there. A 1/8" mat would be a perfect fit!

  4. The Yoga Mat Bag is nice, but it's very difficult to get a sticky yoga mat down into this bag.

  5. This so far is my favorite mat of all and honestly I was just a little afraid that I would be constantly fighting with it to get it back in the bag but NOPE, it goes back in just as easily as it came out.

  1. My yoga studio has the foam bricks that many of us have seen before. These are useful for a few poses, and I wanted something similar for home practice. But I could not justify purchasing a "foam" brick, since these are actually made of plastic that is really nasty in terms of manufacturing. I don't want to put my money towards that. Obviously the world does not need more plastic crap that will end up in a landfill.

So I bought this one. It's more substantial than a typical foam brick - slightly larger and heavier, without being unwieldy. I have small hands and I do not find it to be too large. As an added bonus, I find the surface of this block to be slightly less slippery than the foam blocks, always useful for when your hands get sweaty.

I'm very happy with this purchase.

  2. got fooled thought this was going to be a pair of blocks not just one block - wouldn't have bought it if i had realized it was just one block now it isn't worth sending back because of the amount of money spent to ship it - moz

5 comments about Yogitoes Big Skidless Yoga Towel.
  1. I prefer the Yogitoes towel over a regular towel. It is a must for Bikram Yoga or Power Yoga. It is easy to clean, just throw it in the washer and dryer.

  2. Trikanasana was always my most feared posture in Bikram, in fact I hurt my hamstring several years ago when my foot slipped out from under me in this posture. With the Yogitoes towel, which I use upside-down (dots up) on a Manduka mat, I feel secure.

I know the dots are supposed to keep the towel from slipping on a mat, but the Manduka mat already has that covered, so I use the dots to keep my feet from slipping on the towel. I drizzle a little water from my water bottle for the length of the towel where I'm going to stand for this series, and I have great traction.

Now some may argue that one should be strong and balanced enough to do this posture on any surface. I have heard such sentiments uttered. That's fine, but you have to get to that point of strength and balance somehow, and until you do it's probably better not to be hurting yourself. Thus we have straps and blocks and other adaptive tools, and I see this mat as another adaptive tool.

It's also great to have a dedicated yoga towel. I don't have to coordinate usage of my regular towels or beach towels, this one is only for yoga and that helps when things are busy. These are less linty than normal towels, and also so thin that they fit right in the mat bag with my big old Manduka mat and 2 hand towels.

  3. I wish I could afford another three of these. I do bikram and warm-room flow yoga and attend class at least 4 times/week, this mat is just about perfect for both. I would use this mat every day if I didn't sweat so much that it absolutely requires washing between uses. I think by "skidless" they mean more that it wont slip off your mat vs. you wont slip off of it. That said, I do find that once I've worked up a little sweat, or if I sprinkle a little water on it at the start of class, I wont slip out of a down dog.

    Pros:
    - covers my entire yoga mat
    - doesn't wrinkle or buckle like a towel
    - very absorbant
    - light weight
    - machine washable and dryer safe
    - comes in many nice colors

    Cons:
    - prohibitively expensive (I got mine for $49, but now even the regular-sized ones are going for $55)
    - big size currently only comes in two colors, I like the extra length
    - can be a little tough to hold those first few down dogs if it's not damp

Towels just don't compare, I love this mat.

  4. Loved this so much I just bought another!!!! Great for hot yoga or any type of yoga to add comfort and a little extra grip to your mat. get one today.

  5. I screwed up this order when trying to get it delivered to a freinds address; they quickly cancelled and re-issued it, ensuring it made it on time

    Good work

  1. The mats were purchased for my daughter for Christmas. They have been useful for her in her gymnastics practices. However, the price ~$50 is a little lofty for the product you received.

  2. I have not seen it at her house but MOM says she uses it daily. being as it is two sided she does not have to have the handprints showing. She loves it.

  3. I received this item in a timely manner. The only problem I had is that I ordered pink and received blue....and since it was for my daughter and it came on her birthday I didn't return it. The product itself is good quality and my daughter really enjoys it, despite it being the wrong color.

  1. This is a great sticky mat. I had first purchased a thinner mat and found that my knees would get sore because there just wasn't as much cushion as I would like. I didn't want to use a blanket or towel, as I was concerned about slipping out of a pose. This was an excellent solution! The color is great too. I stack the mats as well or roll up the end for certain poses and they seem to stay pretty fairly where I place them.

  1. Great cushioning for exercise, but very smelly!

    Pros:
The pieces are very easy to lock together, like a puzzle, and I definitely could feel the benefit of using them on a bottom (cement covered by carpet) floor. Much better on the joints than exercising on a hard cement floor alone.

    Shipping was lightening fast!

Versatility of making a custom size "floor" with 1 foot square pieces.

    Cons:
The box came with no packing slip and no instructions. Instructions wouldn't be necessary to put them together, but it would be nice to know what these things are made of, and how to clean them.

The BIG problem is the smell. These pieces are made out of some foam vinyl man made material, and they have a very strong chemical odor right out of the box. Even after taking them apart, putting them back in the box and putting the box in another room, I could still smell that awful odor in that room for hours afterwards.

I'll wait a few days to see if the smell will subside, but if not, I'll have to send them back. If the smell goes away, I'll keep them.

Note: Each piece is a 12 inch square, so if you're looking to cover an area just from workout to workout, you'll have to put your "floor" together and take it apart each time. That will get old fast.

Also, it moved a little as I worked out (aerobics), but it didn't take up the whole floor, and it was over a short Berber carpet.

If I could find a floor mat made of this material (sans the bad chemical smell) that folded or rolled up and was made specifically for stepping/walking on carpet or bare floor and was bigger than typical yoga mats, I'd be good to go!

  1. I really love this towel. After two years of dealing with the yogitoes skidless I decided that I'd try the manduka towel since I have the manduka black mat. This towel is great! It's a lot thinner than the yogitoes and no annoying plastic beads on the bottom side. Superior grip too! Highly recommended!
