5 comments about Greatland® Self-Inflating Mat.
- Read the reviews of the people that don't expect this thing to be a plush mattress at a 5 star hotel. You are using this for CAMPING right? Not to replace your inner spring?
What kind of instructions would you like? "Put in microwave and eat in 10 seconds"? If you weigh too much for this then get 2 of them. Therm-a-Rest mattresses cost 3 times this and do the same exact thing.
- I own two Coleman self inflating mats and on our current trip we just need some cushioning between us and the floor while staying with some friends for the weekend.
So we went off to Target, saw these mats, and figured they were a bit cheaper than our Coleman's but they'd do for a couple of nights.
The mat itself is the standard plastic/nylon constructions. And that's all it is. It does not self inflate. I can huff and puff a bit into it and get some air into the chambers - but that's a far cry from an relaxing 10 minutes each.
I will return them both tomorrow and swear off Greatland branded gear. If it's this hard for them to figure out a self inflating mat then I imagine something as complex as a tent is way out of their league.
- The packaging claimed that this was self-inflating, but it was NOT. You'll get light-headed inflating it.
It was too narrow for me. I got it so I could crash on the floor when I'm not at home, but it too narrow to be useful. It was also uncomfortable.
Get something else.
The only-thing self-inflating about this mat was the bogus advertizing on the outside of the box.
- bought this and i am taking it back. It did not inflate but if you your self blow into it and inflate it it is great but other wise it does not inflate at all. Don't buy spend the extra money and get something good.
- This thing is worthless! I bought it for my kids for sleepovers, thinking it would be quicker to blow up than the other air mattresses we have which require a pump. This so-called "self-inflating" mattress does not inflate ONE BIT! There are no instructions on the box. I assumed if it "inflates in seconds," like the box says, it would just inflate automatically when I unrolled it. NO! It does nothing at all. Twisting and turning the air valve proved useless too. I am not wasting my time blowing into the valve; avoiding using the pump is the whole reason I bought this thing! This product should be recalled for false advertising. As for a few of the reviewers who said it was a fine enough product, that is just plain ridiculous! This product does not work--plain and simple. I'm returning it. Buyer beware.

5 comments about Supermats 3'x6.5' Treadmat.
- I bought this equipment mat to go under my new Horizon CFS Upright Bike and protect the hardwood floors in my apartment. It is perhaps the thinnest equipment mat I've ever seen. Also, I assembled the bike on top of the mat and have a small tear in the mat as a result (from when one of the metal parts scraped the mat). Mat is definitely long enough, but barely wide enough for my bike (which isn't very bulky). If you're looking for true heavy duty protection for your floors, I would choose another product. But if you only need some basic protection for your floor this is good enough.
- I purchased this mat to place under my treadmill to protect the floor underneath and prevent any slippage. The mat is well constructed and large enough for just about any treadmill. This one is a larger than most would need, but I thought I needed the extra length (I don't). It is strong enough for light to medium use. If you were especially rough on this mat you could wear it or tear it fairly easily. But it does what it's supposed to and you get what you pay for. I'm very satisfied with it.
- The mat works fine for my rowing machine. The price is better than many I have seen.
- I have tried many different equipment mats and have always been disappointed. Mats like this offer very little protection for your equipment or floor. These mats rip very easily.
A much better alternative is a 4' x 6' x 3/4" thick rubber mat that you can buy from a farm supply store such as Blain's Farm and Fleet or Tractor Supply Co. I can't take credit for this idea. I discovered this when searching the web for a durable mat. This was suggested by many bodybuilders on the bodybuilding dot com website/forum. These rubber mats are called "Horse Stall Mats" or "Cow Stall Mats". These mats are made to last for years of abuse from cows and horses stomping, urinating, and other shtuff. Therefore, they will certainly hold up to exercise equipment, dumbbells/weights being dropped, and human sweat without a problem. I purchased two of these Cow Stall Mats from Farm and Fleet for $39 each.
- Excellent mat. Perfect size. Reduces noise from treadmill. Saves a lot of wear on flooring and helps cushion any bounce you may have from treadmill. Recommend
