1. I bought this for my 17 year old son for Christmas. It's really a cute item but the rubber odor is so potent I had a difficult time finding a place to hide it. I kept it in my walk in closet but the rubber smell started permeating my clothing. If the smell weren't so strong I'd give this a five star for a cute thing to put in your kids' rooms.



2. I'm using this product as a door mat as the designer intended. I can't really comment on the rubber smell since it stays outside.
   
   It looks pretty good sitting on my front step. It makes a great conversation starter. It's the first thing guests notice and comment on when they arrive. It's a bit too clean to be really convincing, but that's besides the point.
   
   As far as door-mats go, it works fine. It's no worse than the plain rubber mat it replaced. It's not like the bristly beige mats you find at golf courses which work very well at scrubbing off all kinds of mud and dirt. This mat works best with flat-bottomed dress shoes. It'll have trouble getting mud out of sneakers and hiking boots. It's better suited for shedding water. You just have to ask yourself, how often do you come home with mud on your shoes?
   
   As far as size goes, it's a little wider than your average rectangular mat. Factor in the round shape and I'd say it has approximately 50% more surface area than your average mat.
   
   If you're in the market for a designer door mat (who isn't??) you could do much worse than to buy this or one of its inter-city cousins.

1. I purchased one of these for my wife for Christmas last year. After getting it in the house we wondered what the SMELL was. It turns out to be related to this mat. We left it outside when we could for the first month or two, unzipped, hoping the nasty chemical odor would go away. It never did. It was strong enough that you could sense it when you walked in the room, and we didn't want to be in the same room with it. The smell seems to come from the foam inside the zipped sections. I can't tell you what it is, but you won't like it.
   
   The mat spent the summer outside and is now out in the shed. It's been unzipped for months and it still smells. It will go to the Goodwill or the dump. This is another great example of Chinese junk that's not worth the money you spend on it, and it may carry additional health risks as well. Don't buy this to exercise to keep healthy. Go breath some clean air instead!



2. I bought this mat for Thai Massage. I'm a massage therapist. It has worked perfectly for that purpose. Amazon had the best price at $99. Thanks Amazon,

3. I use this mat in my exercise routine on a regular basis, and it works great! It's holding up well, and has only the slightest odor if you put your nose right up to it. I'll certainly be buying these as gifts for my workout buddies!

1. I love the quality of this mat. I have used it a handful of times so far, and it stands up well to different yoga and pilates poses. It feels good to know I haven't caused any harsh chemicals to be used for my mat!



2. When compared to my standard sized PVC mat, this mat is noticeably different. Both sides have a slightly raised texture that's different from most other mats and both sides have a logo.
   
   Since it's natural rubber, it actually feels a bit like a car tire. Not as hard, but a similar texture, and it really holds you in place. I don't slip at all on this mat during a yoga workout. However, it isn't as soft as a PVC mat. It's better than the floor, but there really isn't very much cushion if you're in a pose that makes your hips or heels dig into the ground.
   
   Overall, I really like it because it makes me feel secure knowing that my feet aren't going to slip out from under me, but I do wish it were a little more springy.
