1. I recently bought the Gaiam 4mm Eco Conscious Rubber Yoga mat because i want to practice my yoga on a environmentally friendly high quality mat. After receiving this mat, i am EXTREMELY disappointed. I feel cheated. They claim that it is 4mm, but i measured it to be 2mm between the bumps and maximum 3mm on the bumps. The mat is very flimsy,stretchy and slippery. After 1 use it looks like it is rubbing apart.
   
   Gaiam claims that it is a natural rubber mat, but it sure does not feel like a natural rubber mat. I have used a natural rubber mat at my studio, but it is completly different that this mat. Even my instructor questions whether this is actually a natural rubber mat, since it feels so different than the high quality natural rubber mat at the studio. If i wanted a cheap mat, I would have just bought one of the low quality PVC mats. I should have spent the extra $5-$10 and bought a mat from a company that is know for their quality. Dont make the same mistake i made!



2. I prefer it to my older, thinner, conventional yoga mat. Feels soft & natural. Good bumpy grips to grasp onto, without interfering with the workout. A substantial quality, earth-friendly mat.



3. Hopefully this was just a bad batch of yoga mats -- left in a hot warehouse or something.
   
   The mat began to fall apart in the first couple of uses, leaving bits of mat on the floor and my clothing. Amazon was very good about sending a replacement -- which did the same thing.
   
   Had to send both back.

1. This bag is not 9" in diameter, apparently they meant 9" wide when FLATTENED.
   When fully stuffed, it's only 5.5" in diameter, and does not fit my 1/4" mat. It's a shame cuz the look and feel is very nice.



2. If you're a yoga rookie like me, you've probably already bought a bunch of stuff--mats, bricks, straps, etc. and your asking yourself do you really need a yoga mat bag too. The answer is no, you don't need one. But if you're like me, you've probably observed that a lot of the other "kids" in your yoga class have one and now you crave one too.
   
   This is a good bag. It's well made and has enough room inside to accomodate a small towel plus your mat. The inside zippered pocket will hold keys, cash, DL, etc. too. And there are a bunch of outside pockets--rather small ones, but big enough to hold a few more items too. Personally, I like the bright color, but no one else in my yoga classes favors raspberry, so the color choice is a personal preference.
   
   So, do you need a yoga mat bag? Well, after I started yoga classes, I realized that my trusty old gym sweats weren't the greatest clothing choice for yoga class. Among the drawbacks: the continual rain of keys falling out of my pockets during inverted poses. Nothing like a big old ring of keys hitting the hardwood floor to make you stand out in your yoga class! So I got some nice new yoga pants. Yoga pants don't have pockets . . . yoga mat bag to the rescue!



3. I purchased this yoga bag for my black manduka yoga matt, it was too small, about three inches too short. I tried it on another yoga matt, same problem. I had to return it. don' t buy this matt unless you have a gaiam brand matt. I assume their own brand of matt should fit. my manduka matt is 26" x 71".



4. I reason for buying the was because i was going to be doing some traveling over the holidays and i didn't want my yoga mat to get dirty while i was flying...I love the bag, it make traveling much more easier...
