  1. great all around machete!
I purchased this and received it ONLY 2 DAYS LATER and i made the purchase late on the 24th i received it early the 26th!!!

Out of the box I was a little disappointed with the grip it felt cheap but after a couple hours of hard use the blade held its edge great and the grip now feels extremely solid. I think it was because i was used to a wooden grip.

This is a great machete I highly recommend it

  2. Longer than a knife and shorter than a sword, this is your average size machete. The steel is strong and springy, and despite my abuse it has yet to show any bending like most machetes would get. I'm a martial artist, so I decided to practice my cuts with it on some tree limbs that fell in my backyard and was pretty pleased. If you're looking to chop down a tree, it'll be some tiresome work and you'll just dull your blade (I hacked at some thick stuff to test how deep it would cut)but if you want to take down foliage and branches, you'll feel like a lawn-care samurai. The handle is one of my favorite features, because you can tell by the look and the feel that they cared to fashion a good handle on a great blade. And while I doubt most people would care to throw a machete as a weapon, I've had a great deal of fun sticking this thing in a tree from a short distance, so you can see the tip is nice and sharp and the blade won't snap or permanently bend like the competition. All my machetes are going to be Cold Steel brand from here on out.

  3. Arrived much faster than expected (2 days). It's nice and lightweight, perfect length. Good quality steel. Definately needs to be sharpened but I'm sure that comes with the territory. Looks like it will last a lifetime. No complaints with plastic handle. Quite comfortable.

Kudos to this seller (cutleryusa). Highly impressed with your order processing and shipping times!

5 comments about Comtech Stinger James Keating Re-designed Self Defense.
  1. Wow...that "wow" is for the two reviewers who think the stinger is not absolutely effective and reliable. First let me start by saying that the stinger fits perfectly in your hands and you receive no damage when nailing an assailant at full force. You can strike ANYWHERE on a persons body with frightening results. Whenever I show someone the kind of force this thing can putout I start by first very softly tapping their arm with my bare fist..then I repeat the same tap with the stinger, looks of amazement and horror are usually what ensue. I am a bouncer and carry this thing with me at all time. I have used it many times, and I assure you I'am too afraid of the damage I can cause, so I never strike anyone in the face with it. They are relatively cheap (you won't mind losing it much from a financial perspective), small (they do fit in your pocket easily), and can be attached to keys.

Bottom line: this can turn ANYONE into a heavy hitter. Great for self defense, way more effective, practical, and less suspicious than brass knux. Buy one...buy two just in case.

  2. The Stinger has been around a long time.. not spoken about much. Guys who work in security know about it. Light, concealable, easily deployed. Really can't say anything bad about this thing. There are a few knock-off models out there, one with an LED light in it which is cool, but the material isn't as strong and the shape/finish isn't nearly as ergonomic.

To the reviewer who says the base is too thin, try wrapping it with some athletic tape. I have rather large hands although not very meaty, and the Stinger fits just fine. Striking through boards, into cinder blocks, other things I'd never want to strike with a bare fist, and it isn't too bad at all. The power delivery at the business end is worth any minor discomfort in the palm.

To the reviewer who says it would only be good for a strike to the face or eyes, then run away.. well, if that's your best option to get out of a situation then yes, the Stinger would certainly do the job for you. But you can really strike somebody in a number of places and have devastating effects with this impact device. Pressure points all up and down the body, joints, etc. In fact, I'd be very hesitant to strike somebody in the head with the Stinger unless I felt justified to deploy lethal force. A good crack to the skull, temple, or other sensitive spot with the Stinger could put somebody in the hospital, and possibly put you in prison.

They keychain ring is okay, but I prefer the old version without it. On my new version I cut it out with a Dremel. I don't want nor need it on my keys, although I can see the benefit for it. Example, a female who has this device in her purse would be able to locate and deploy the device much quicker if it was attached to keys or a lanyard. And, it could be done as part of her movement to get her wallet out, etc.

If you own one of these (or any tactical impact device), don't think you can just have it and will be ready to use it whenever the need arises. For one, when people are faced with a threatening situation, our fine motor skills are degraded. The only way to preserve these skills is through training. Likewise, when you strike something, that something puts up resistance. Practice and dilligence ensure that you are prepared to utilize a tool such as this only when appropriate, and in a responsible way that protects you both during and after an attack.

  3. Same principle as a knuckle punch, but without the risk of damaging yourself. The Stinger allows all of your generated force to be focused onto your striked target, from a small point of impact. Just like a bullet does.

Positives: The Stinger is lightweight, easily concealable and highly effective. It can also be used to administer great force to pressure points if needed. It can be attached to your keys, by ring (not provided). It's not an easy weapon to be disarmed from, as long as you maintain your grip of it. I would highly recommend this to someone that may be needing the extra backup to either detain or pulverize an assailant.

Disadvantages: Your still going to have to be up close & personal to use it. It's not the most ergonomic defensive tool I've handled. This is due to the space between where the fingers would rest and where the base of it sits on your lower palm. This space just seemed a little to distant for me to totally close my grip comfortably.

All in all, its a good buy. The force of impact this generates and its lightweight/ concealability makes me very happy with it.

  4. The Comtech Stinger is a little ripper, small concealable ,non metillic ,it goes anywhere. Yet if confronted ,the attacked gets a quick jab to vital points and gives the owner the chance for a quick getaway. The hand curls naturally around ,and gives the right grip instinctively. Well worth the price

  5. I would buy this from Amazon if it was available in CLEAR.

BLACK makes it look like a weapon, so you're just borrowing trouble. Clear makes it unrecognizable just long enough to be effective.

Offer it in clear, and I'll buy a dozen of these.

  1. THIS IS A VERY HOT ITEM.. LARGE TANTO KNIFE REAL NICE, FULL SIZE MADE WELL MADE. AND ALL EXTRAS LIKE SMALL THROWING RODS, AND ROAD STUDS WHEN SOMEONE ON A CAHSE FOR YOU ! SHE REAL HEAVY WEIGHT WITH REAL COOL SHEATH TO NOT THE CHEAP CLOTH BLK. ONES NEITHER.. I GOING GET ME ANOTHER REAL SOON THIS HOT DEAL ! SUPER FAST SHIPPING GOT IT 2 DAYS AND ON HALOWEEN EVE SO DON'T BE TICK OR TREATING MY HOODTONITE ! I'AM WELL PREPARED.

  2. I purchased this knife for a mission my brethren and I were undertaking in the Japanese countryside. The blade to my last knife was broken in half when, in a moment of carelessness, I zigged when I should have zagged, allowing one of my 18 opponents to momentarily disarm me. As I performed numerous backflips to escape their attacks, the knife was thrown at me by almost as experienced a ninja as I, and I was forced to roundhouse kick the knife whilst flying at me, snapping the blade in half. Luckily, I was able to front kick the falling blade tip back at the thrower, killing him instantly.

I knew that with the throwing spikes and caltrops, I was making a sound investment.

As we approached the palace, I was struck by the stylishness of the sheath as it rested against my black belt. Sexy and stealthy are no longer mutually exclusive. The knife's even weight allows it to fly perfectly through the air, and much like me, it does not make a sound when it does its thing. I swear I could throw this knife through a glass window and it wouldn't create a sound, because it's for a ninja. Also, since I'm a ninja, I wouldn't do that. Unless, of course, there was an enemy ninja on the other side of said window.

Again and again, as we stormed the palace, this knife performed wonderfully. Through fabric, chairs, and, of course, lesser skilled ninjas, I felt comfortable knowing that my honor would be safe, thanks to this wonderful tool.

I've already purchased two more of these for fellow ninjas. One of them is turning 37 next week, the other's son is having his Bahmitzfa.

  3. OK i got this for my b-day and it was awesome. One of the best presents i have gotten. It is very very sturdy the throwing spikes are really really good and the knife itself with a secret knife is amazing. Just looking at the nicely designed sheath makes me feel safer. Don't have doubts about this item it is AMAZING!!!!

  4. I got mine and i was very excited when i went to the post office.... but then i opened it :( :( and i was missing a thowing spike and the Caltrops :( so i had to do without on my missions, which they would have been VERY useful against the dogs that were in the back yard of the mansion that i was at :( but oh well i took care of them the Ninja way... so ya if your going to buy this make sure you have back up weapons cuz you may need to use them if YOURS doesnt come with everything....

5 comments about Bleach Sode no Shirayuki The Sword of Rukia Kuchiki.
  1. I bought this sword along with the Ichigo Bankai 52" Wooden sword that Topswords sells as well (thought I would get a discount, but didn't). The sword looks identical to the one used by Rukia in the anime. The hilt is very long, and the blade is dull (again, these are prop swords, not functional). Also, the blade has a huge "CHINA" printed on the side. The ribbon on the end seems like it will stay in place, but is kind of long, so be careful not to step on it while holding it. The sword guard is plastic, but seems to stay put. I especially like the detail of the sword (marked by the little smiley face on the ribbon) and the way the hilt was crafted. It's a steal if you consider it only costs about $24 when I got it.

  2. It is a nice display piece for the price, especially to fans of the anime. The tassel(ribbon) is very cheap and I wouldnt want to go waging mock fights or even handling it a lot but thats the point. IT IS FINE AS A DISPLAY PIECE. Just set it up, lean back and look at it. Probably one of the most visually distinctive swords from the series, it is instantly recognizable for what it is.

  3. This might be a great replica per other reviews. It is not a quality piece. Blade is dull. arrived bent at the hilt. I simply bent it back into place instead of the hassle of returning it. Handle was scratched. You get what you pay for!

  4. I got this for one reason... for cosplay. With that in mind I wasn't expecting something much. For $16 I couldn't be more happy! I would buy this sword again in an instant. it looks very nice. I'm even a sword buff and love the well forged swords and I can tell immediately that I wasn't going to go out and cut some tatami with this one, but like I said, I got it for cosplay. if cosplay is what you have in mind then GET THIS SWORD!!!

  5. I got this katana from [...] but this is an awesome sword, the quality was fantastic, nothing jiggled or rattled, the sheath (saya) fit well. and the blade was lightened to fit the manga description and dang is it sharp. the only thing that irked me was the bell. but overall a good collector's piece for the Bleach fanatic.

  1. My son had a shock doctor mouth piece and was very uncomfortable so I bought him this one and he likes a a lot better, he does TKD so this works great for him, he is 8 years old.

  2. I really like this particular mouth guard as it protects booth the top and bottom teeth. It also had a hole in the front which allows for easy breathing.

2 comments about Escrima Arnis Kamagong Pair of Sticks also known as Ironwood includes Carrying Case with adjustable strap.
  1. These things are pretty awesome. By far the most unique sticks in the dojo--they're extremely heavy and nearly solid black (as opposed to the rattan, waxwood, and lesser sticks used by my classmates), and make a satisfyingly deep and resonating clunk. They didn't cost an arm and a leg, either. I only have two complaints: the sticks are about 3/4" too long for the bag, and the velcro only closes because the blue edging adheres to velcro; they are very smooth, and I have to be very conscious of my sweat or else the stick may go flying. I get a lot of attention because of these, and it's such an ego boost for a guy to have so many people admiring his stick.

Also, before you buy check the dimensions. At 28", they'll be longer than most eskrima sticks. They're also much heavier, and have to be wielded by someone with good control and the physical strength to stop them if the opponent misses a block. So I wouldn't recommend these for smaller or inexperienced students.

  2. I love these. They are very well made, and super heavy. No rough edges or patches, and they are perfectly balanced (and perfectly straight).

4 comments about Dark Knight Steel Spike Arm Gauntlets.
  1. These are made very well and should stay together, but they are made for the incredible hulk's forearms. I'm going to have to cut the elastic and sew it back on to fit my arm, but it should be fine once i do that.

  2. I ordered this bracer set for a Batman Costume.
Less than a day after i had them i noticed how one of the spike plates was actually beginning to separate from the leather.

To remedy this, i pounded all the rivets on the things flat to ensure they were holding tight, then i poked holes down the lengths of the spike plates and wove thin black leather string down the face and in-between the spikes in an X pattern.

The end result makes the gauntlets seem really well held-together.

Also, to remedy the issue in the first review, i cut the elastic strap nearest the wrist and sewed on some velcro to join it better to my forearms.

  3. I was fairly happy with these, in the picture the guy has a long sleeve on, so where the straps are it is open, the 3 steel plates are thinner than I thought but I am overall happy with them

  4. I bought these for my Halloween costume and they looked great! I got lots of compliments. However, they are very loose. The elastic straps seem designed to go over bulky clothing (i.e.- a leather jacket as depicted on their box) and the one adjustable strap is not enough to hold them in place. One of the elastic straps came unsewn from the leather in the first 15 minutes I was wearing it, also. Lastly, be careful, the points on the bracers are sharper than I had anticipated. On the plus side, the set I received was actually the Dark Knight licensed bracers. Overall, they looked great and served the purpose, but were not entirely what I was hoping for.

  1. I ordered 2 of the Dragon Claw Finger Armor Blade Silver. When my son opened the package for Christmas there was only 1 in the box. I have e-mailed and left several v/mails on this and have had no response ar all. I would not recommend this Co. to anyone they have lousy customer service.

  2. Very awesome, Very cool it fits well length wise but it's a bit too wide and spins around my finger. Over all very awesome!

  3. purchased as a gift, was sent very quickly. absolutely amazing looking piece. love it.

  4. I thought it was cool at first.. Gave the seller good feedback because it was a good delivery and stuff but this product sucks... Ring is too big both width and height... The blade isn't sharp enough to even cut paper/mail... Nothing to really do with this. Wear it on halloween and people will taunt and laugh at you or maybe even run away from you or call the police. Wear this in public and be called a freak or get captured by the police.. Maybe if you're obsessed with dragon crap, you should buy this as a collectors item.. Otherwise, don't!

  5. I was surprised by the quality when i received the finger armor, it was under $10 but it has nice weight and looks great, construction feels sturdy. very pleased with it.

  1. Good for basic self defense practice. Made of very hard rubber. I would have given it 5 stars had it been a little heavier. It has some weight but not as much as the real deal. Certainly good enough for beginner to intermediate level practice sessions. And it is WAY cheaper then others made to look & feel like specific weapon models.

  2. Great for gun take away practice. I taped over the trigger guard on mine so I could not accidently put my finger on the trigger while practicing the take away as you can get a broken finger if the take away is done correctly and you have your finger on the trigger. I hear some just cut an opening in the trigger guard to prevent this injury but i prefer the tape myself. The training gun has the look and feel of the actual weapon although I am not sure what the weight difference is. Some training guns are made to weigh the same as the actual pistol. For the price you can't beat it.

  3. This particular rubber gun lasts a bit longer than other models I've trained with before. You and your training partner can actually grip it tightly and "wrestle" with it or for it, and it will hold up to a lot of abuse. I've had training guns that would split, crack, or have pieces that broke off, but this brand holds up noticeably longer.

  4. Use for Krav Maga. Solid rubber. Looks like it will last a lifetime. What else to say?

  5. The size and weight make this a good tactile feel and the product is very durable. What more can I say, it is a "rubber gun" with weight and some good feel to it which make it a very useful training tool.

  1. I have purchased several of these and found them to be very durable. There are eight rows of stitching running the length of the belt and the ends are double stitched. I found the stitching near the ends of all the belts to be a little sloppy, but you really have to look close to see this. They are a little stiff, but that gives me a feeling that they would last over the long haul. After hundreds of times of being tied and untied, it is not easy to tell where the wear spot is from the knot. As far as fading, my belts are still as brightly colored as the day I purchased them, but I don't wash them either. I only put my belt on right before practice and then put it back in my bag after practice.

You'll advance to the next belt before you wear one of these out. A good durable belt and a good value at around $5.00.

  2. This belt looks very nice and shiny, but is a little stiff in the beginning.

  3. I have purchased two sets of these belts over the last month. The first order received was of a high quality belt, well stitched and finished. The belt was firm and slighty stiff as it should be. A good quality belt all round.

I then ordered a second set of the same belts but at a larger size. These belts where not of the same quality, in particular the finishing of the belt ends was poor. The belts seemed to have come from a longer strip and had been cut to size and heat sealed. The weight and firmness of the belts was also less then the first order. While adequate these belts where disappointing when compared to the first shipment.
