  1. I found a pair of these at a fight in california. They are longer, more stretchy and form fitting than any other wrap. I have used all kinds, these protect and support the best.

  2. I've tried several brands of hand wraps - Everlast are too short and made from cheap thin fabric that warps easily. Century makes wraps that are okay for the price but too short for most adults. These are by FAR the best - the elastic ones are great, they support really well and do not warp. I am not a serious wall-punching athlete but if you're going to spend any money on wraps, get these, spending any less on another brand would be a waste.

  3. For boxing, real training or boxing classes in a gym, you will need a good set of handwraps. They keep your fingers aligned, support your wrists, and keep you your skin padded from abrasion. If you wear boxing gloves they are must; punching a heavy bag without handwraps (with or without gloves) for more than about 10-15 minutes will take all of the skin off of your knuckles. Not only is it unpleasant, leaving a stinging, raw feeling on your knuckles for a week or more, you will not be able to box again until your hands heal up.

Almost all of the major "boxing" brands make wraps. I have tried several, and would say that on average most wraps would rate three stars, as they are either short, made of rough material, or don't stretch the appropriate amount. A trainer recommended these.

    These wraps:

    * are longer than most (a plus)
    * have a good balance of material - not to thick / not to gauzy
    * stretch the right amount

Two notes: (1) because the price is fairly low, would recommend two pairs so that you can alternate pairs and let one dry out and (2) recommend hand washing in a sink rather than putting in a washing machine, otherwise you will get back a big knotted mess. A garment bag might be an alternative, but have not tried it.

If you need wraps, highly recommend.

    Hope this review helps.

  4. I don't have any experience with other brands to compare with, but when I received these I was a bit disappointed with the stitching at the thumb end. We'll see how it holds up.

  1. the product arrived in a timely fashion, was well packaged, and was exactly what i expected.

  2. While I have never owned this product or another kubotan with a knife inside, I have owned a normal flat-tipped kubotan for about three years now and had professional martial arts/self defense/police tactics training with it for the first of those three years, so consider my background when you read this review...

While I fully believe a kubotan is an EXCELLENT thing to learn how to use for self-defense for men and women alike, I fully believe that a kubotan that unscrews to hold a knife is completely impractical. How often will you have the oppotunity to unscrew the cap for the blade or even flip a pop-cap version around to the blade before you're attacked? My guess is never. More than likely, you won't even know the attack is coming if they know what they're doing, and so you need an immediate (I wish I could underline the word "immediate" to show the gravity of that term...) response to the attack. I standard kubotan is much more practical and prevents the risks of accidental damage to yourself should you fumble with it in a moment of high stress.

My opinion, whether considered professional or not, would be to buy a regular kubotan and find a martial arts or self-defense instructor that is educated and capable to teach you how to effectively use it. I had a 4th degree blackbelt in "hybrid styles" (he owns his own dojo and was given his 4th degree by counsil decision, his 3rd degree was in American Karate) teaching me, so I can tell you from experience that you will come out of it with some pain and bruises, but also invaluable experience that could save your life one day.

  3. Came on time, good condition, very handy keychain knowing it could hurt someone really bad if attacked or something. I like it. thumbs up and don't leave home without it.

  4. The Kubotan I received is totally different from the one listed in the image in the product page. The blade is in silver not black, and is not sharp at all compared to my little Victorinox Swiss Army Classic Pocket Knife. Unfortunately I bought 2 pieces from this Kubotan. you should buy a normal Kubaton at least it is cheaper and you will get what you see.

  1. Bought it for the friend of our family. It was a big fun when we found out that the blade is on the wrong side, kind of peaceful Katana :D So, the friend had the desired sword but also his wish is still to become true to hold the real Katana someday :D.

  2. This Katana is good at what it does. The reversed nature of the blade makes it safe to work with, and the reversed blade is not razor-sharp, all though it could be sharpened. I do not know if this blade has a full tang or not, but I will not be putting it through extreme duress. It does not have a point, but is rounded off, making this blade as safe as one could be and still could be considered a blade. The guard is a bit too wide to be comfortable, but that is just my personal geometry This blade itself seems of good quality. The blade was shipped promptly and arrived in great condition. The stand, as mentioned in other reviews, is of poor quality, but it is essentially a freebie that comes with the sword. In general a beutifal blade that would do wonderfully as a display or cosplay piece.

  3. I happned to recieve this as a gift and i was suprised. from what they said it came days earlier than expected it's very well made it had a really nice shine to it after i wiped off that white stuff of the blade and i really liked that. The stand was pretty nice seemed a little smaller than expected but the sword still sits on there nicely. All in All other than the stand (which i won't complain cause its free) its a really good sword and well worth the price

  4. This is a really awesome sword. I would recommend any weapon collector to add this sword to their collection! The reverse blade makes the sword very unique. Not only that, it reminds us of our Rurouni Kenshin hero, Kenshin Himura.
When ever my friends come over, I would always show them this sword and impress them on how cool and unique the blade is.

I would also recommend those who have the money to buy the carbon steel version of this knife for their collection.

  5. it didn't fall apart like the kill bill one did when i pulled it out of the same box but its about the same quality.

  1. Title Platinum Hybrid Gel Fist Wraps are a convenient alternative to plain fist wraps. The regular size fit well for me at 5'6" 170 lbs. They provide sufficient gel padding for intermediate-to-experienced kickboxers to have required protection when practicing against the sandbag. If these are to be used by a beginner one might want to consider full glove protection so as to cover the fingers completely. Easy to wash, easy to dry. It is a great advantage to find them through Amazon as ordering on Title's web site requires that the card and delivery address be the same. All in all, the product does what it says well, fits comfortably and is easily cared for.

  2. just got these today first time using glove handwraps and I love these things, they fit perfectly under my gloves for competition and provide top notch wrist support

  1. The items arrived pretty quickly and I was excited to get them so soon. However, being used to fine worksmanship, I was pretty disappointed with these. Both bokkens have lateral curves to them that become distracting when you are at a guard stance. The manufacturer (Made in Taiwan) didn't sand the wood (oak) well before they painted/varnished it so it looks and feel pretty unfinished and the grains stand out. If you're a martial arts purist, don't get this. Pay more and get a better one or make your own. This is basically a curved stick... not that there's anything wrong with that for basic practice.

  2. These bokken are sweet. I haven't figured out why one is heavier than the other yet. However, they are perfect for your personal progression in practicing swordsmanship at home. If your ceiling is high enough of course. The ONLY con, and this is a cosmetic issue, is that the tsuba on the brown sword does not fit. Yes, you can improvise and reverse the other one for it, but then it is too low on the handle and doesnt give you enough hand space when wielding the sword. Other than that, I love them, particularly the heavy one. Good for muscle development and stamina. I hope you enjoy them too.

  3. It came in perfect conditions, the heavier its the black one, the natural wooden whas kind of white and its lighter but not fragile. They are a great deal for the amount paid. The handguard (tsuba) its made of plastic and its made for you to be able to remove it. The only thing it's that some times the handguard loosens in the white one, but its not that bad.

  4. Price is right and the basic sword is very well made and finished.
That is what I was hoping for and what I got. Very good value.

The only quibble I have is that the picture shows a "guard", which is a flimsy plastic piece that is a press fit on the handle. Just leave it off or put on your own custom decorative handle cover and guard (e.g. leather stripping) if you are so inclined.

  5. These two swords are great, they can take a good beating and keep going. Visually they look great, the weight feels good. Great overall swords for practice.

  1. The instructions to assemble it could surely be better, but I managed to put it together.
I wish the pads that support the thigh and calves were a bit longer. I am 6"2" and the pad you legs lie on seems a bit short.
But that does not take away from it's functionality. In truth I thought I would get this stretching machine, and force myself
to stretch further that I should, but the machine is built thoughfully and I can't over stretch. So that is good.
It does allow me to stretch out to 120 degrees, and then worked to 130, then 140 pretty quickly. That might not seem like much, but I
weigh about 350 pounds. I feel certain this machine will work well to gradually increase my stretch. It relieves my wife from the duty of
helping me stretch...so she's happy about it. All in all, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

  2. I have used this for many years and still use it on a daily basis. This machine makes stretching an enjoyable albeit still difficult experience.

Still after all these years, I can't seem to get past 160. But, that is pretty far. My problem is I can stretch far, it just takes me about 30 minutes to reach my potential having the first 15 minutes still stiff as a board.

But that is not the machine's fault, it is my own genetics. Great machine, love it.

  3. I bought on accident both this stretcher and the Pro Leg Stretcher by Timas. I kept both for purposes of this review. My kids and wife have used both. The bottom line is that the Pro Leg Stretcher by Timas is a better machine, but is also slightly flawed. First I will discuss the Century VersaFlex STretching Machine.

The VersaFlex comes in like 50 pieces. Instructions are horrible. The pictures are too small and poor resolution. They are on different page than the written instructions. The pictures of the bolts are too large, not actual size but 110%, making it difficult to figure out which bolt is which unless you get a ruler. The handles that go at the end of the legs are not pictured or discussed adequately. I was still able to put it together in about 1.5 hours.

I am 5'11". The legs are too short by like 6 inches. Gimme a break. It would only have cost a few dollars more to make the legs longer. Now, my legs hang of the end, so all stretches are done with my knees bent and the end of the leg support digging into bertween my calf and ankle. I was going to make my own longer leg pieces since I have a wood shop, but now will likely give this unit away and keep the superior Pro Leg Stretcher.

The teeth on the ratchet assembly dont hold very well. If there is a lot of tension it will just close. The ratchet assembly is cheeply made and I can see why it is unreliable and multiple others have reported the cables breaking. The ratchet on mine is kockeyed and only engages 2/3 of the gear. Worse, the ratchet assembly has about 5 degree increments only. This is way too large.

The machine is rather large in that it is about 2 feet tall, and the legs dont close all the way but only to about 30 degrees making it take up more floor space than necessary. This also makes it more awkward to get into.

The VersaFlex has an angle gauge that is poorly positioned so the user cant read it very well. It is also off by about 15 degrees. (This is bad but the Pro Leg Stretcher has no means of measuring how far legs are spread).

With all these shortcomings it will still give you a powerful stretch. My stretch has improved faster than with no machine. I am extremely unflexible and it is hard for me to get in conventional stretching positions but this makes it easy to stretch.

Now on to the Pro Leg STretcher:
Wow. This one came fully assembled. The legs are long enough for me (5'11") but are still too short if you are much taller (but still way longer than the VersaFlex). Unlike the VersaFlex the vertical leg pads dont rotate. This is bad because the pad end tends to dig into my mid thigh a little bit. The wheel used to make the stretch is essentialy infinitely variable whereas the VersaFlex is in about 5 degree increments. Trust me, 1 degree change when you are near your pain threshhold is HUGE. You can eak out extra stretching power with the Pro Leg Stretcher that you cannot do with the VersaFlex because of this infinite variability rather than waiting a week or more for the next 5 degree increment. The back folds down on the Pro Leg Stretcher and the legs come completely together making it take up about half the floor space and half the height of the VersaFlex. While it is substantially better thant the VersaFlex, the Pro Leg Stretcher would be improved by makeing the vertical leg pads rotate and removable (like on the Versaflex) which would make it more comfortable and be able to slide under the bed. Also, there is no way to assess the amount the legs are opened. I am going to attach a tape measure from the end of one leg to the end of the other so I can better follow improvements. With these changes the Pro Leg Stretcher would have gotten 5 stars.

The VersaFlex gets only 3 starts for its many shortcomings.

  4. The setup was moderately difficult. 1 to 10, I would give it a 8. I was able to put it together in an hour. If you've put together alot of IKEA or Walmart furniture together, then it should be no problem. Basically it's 6 main pieces for the frame. The hardest of these is the pulley piece, but it was not that bad as long as you have a good build concept & already good at putting things together. After the frame, the rest are just the padding on the frame. 2 screws each, easy. Everything fit perfectly, no issues.

The setup instruction is basically a diagram with parts and numbers for the hardware. They do go thru the steps, but at a very high level. They don't hold your hands thru the process like IKEA instructions do. But if you are good at diagrams, all you need are the 2 included hex keys, and note the Screw # to use for each piece and it will be easy. Even easier if you have an electric driver with hex key.

Using the strecher is great. The crank system is excellent. You DO NOT have to crank it more to release it. All you need to do is pull it towards you, and it releases immediately. My 14, 10, and 5 year old are all now using it with no problems. The leg attachment can be adjusted with 3 holes at different placements. My 5 year old is well supported, as well as me at 5'10''. There are handles in front, and on both sides for deep streching. The quality feels excellent. I would highly recommend this leg strecher.

  5. I bought this VersaFlex last year, and I got troubles with this machine from the beginning. I think it's bad design because the crank is really weak. Its teeth are not binding together. When I am at my maximum stretching level, the crank retracts by itself. I am trying to find parts to replace the crank and its components without success. Don't buy this junk.
