1. I can say this is s very solid and functional Ninjato sword. When I first got it, it didn't come very sharp I had to do that myself with an Accusharp tool since regular knife stones didn't work for me since the cutting edge is very long.
   
   Also the shoulder holder I needed to fix since one of the attachment rings to the holder fell off.
   
   I would say this was a good buy overall.



2. if you have the hundred or more dollars to spend on a sword, buy a better one...
   
   i did NOT have that money, but i was surprised that this sword offered more than it is worth. i know i started off sounding like it's not a good sword, which compared to some real master peices it can look shabby, BUT it's totally a functional sword.
   
   which if you are into ninpo is exactly what you want. the ninja used shorter blades for closer combate that allowed attacks from blade and body combined, and they favored a straight blade also. that is exactly what this is, a function over fashion sword, i was thrilled.
   
   the handle is nice and long and allows adequate grip for lots of muscle into your swings,
   
   only problem is the blade is stainless steel or something, it is not made of the iron and whatnot that traditional samurai swords were made of before they were scavenged off the battlefeild by ninja and remade into ninja swords.
   
   but that's not really a 'problem' probably just different maintenance needs.
   
   it was made in pakistan, which isn't a problem but it says pakistan in english on the blade itself so i'm going to scratch it off or something. kind of weird, but whatever.
   
   also, when i bought this sword i already had a sheath so i don't mind that the sheath it came with was definitely NOT intended for this sword, the sword does not even fit into it all the way, but that is the only flaw, so if you want to buy a sword and throw away a cheap sheath it came with (but doesn't even fit into) then buy this sword

1. The ASP Tactical Baton is a viable self defense weapon provided that you receive proper training from a qualified instructor. While designed as a non-lethal weapon the baton, if used incorrectly or inappropriately, can be a lethal weapon. When utilized by law enforcement officers, use of the baton is high up on the Use of Force Continuum and is generally used when an officer is faced with the threat of serious bodily injury.
   
   The ASP Baton is durable and sturdy but I would not classify it as indestructible as I have heard stories of officers bending their baton on resistive and threatening subjects who are non-compliant. Bending of the baton by a LEO does not mean that the officer used excessive force but that is another issue which should not be intertwined with a review of the baton...
   
   Size:
   When fully opened it extends to about 15.5 inches and is about 6.25 inches long when closed. I find that the 15 ½ baton is a bit short but it depends on your needs and skill level. It is very versatile and maneuverable. Personally, I recommend a 21" baton to obtain more range.
   
   Grip:
   The grip is very strong and durable and I have yet to wear out a grip on any ASP Baton that I have utilized even with extensive amounts of training. The grip functions well with wet or sweaty hands. You will also obtain a good grip when wearing gloves.
   
   End Cap and Tip:
   The end cap and tip is made of strong metal that will become scratched when hit on the ground. Both are solid impact points. Your ability to open and close the baton can be adjusted by using the ASP retaining clip. Be sure to lubricate the end cap every now and then to keep the O-ring in good working condition.
   
   Shaft:
   The shaft is made of strong and durable steel which will hold up to a lot of abuse. But, it is not what I would call indestructible and can be bent under certain circumstances. If the shaft becomes bent you will not be able to close or open the baton and will need to replace the baton.
   
   Weight
   While not as heavy as a firearm or duty weapon the ASP is not lightweight. Carrying a baton provides you with many options for how and where you want to carry the baton based upon your unique needs.
   
   Utility:
   While designed as an impact weapon it can also be utilized to break glass and even as a fulcrum to provide leverage. If used as a fulcrum you will probably end up bending the shaft which means that you will need to replace the baton.
   
   Overall, the baton is a very useful tool when utilized correctly and appropriately.

1. I recently purchased this saya for a very nice impact grade Appalachian Hickory bokken that I picked up from Kingfisher (Shinto style). It fit almost perfectly (there was maybe an inch or two of space left in the bottom, but obviously that's not even noticeable). The koiguchi (mouth of the saya) fit perfectly around the habaki (top collar) of the bokken, so there's not really much of a chance of it sliding out accidentally. Additionally, although the saya is made of plastic, they did a pretty good job of adding a texture to it in order to keep it from coming off as cheap. My only real issue with it is that the sageo (scabbard cord) is made of nylon or some sort of polyester; it's REALLY difficult to keep something like that properly tied. Get a nice cotton cord from any fabric store and you'll be much happier with it. Other than that, very nice product, very nice price. Highly recommended for preliminary iaido (art of sword-drawing) practice, prior to getting an iaito (blunt edged, drawing katana).



2. its a really kool scabbard just wish it fits most bokens. its too small to fit my black diato boken but it fit my Polypropylene wakazashi boken just fine. hope it fits my Polypropylene katana when it gets here

   I would use them again.

1. This sword looks and feels awesome. It's heavy and strong and probably not for kids. I really like it though and hope to mount it on my wall soon. For anyone who likes Lord of the Rings and swords, this is an awesome gift.

3. I bought this sword for my son who is a fan of Lord of the Rings as well as antique weaponry. He is thrilled with it as am I. The quality is outstanding and the detailing beautiful. Heavy stainless steel with lovely etched elvish writing and leather wrapped handle. This is a very nice sword!



4. This sword is absolutely beutiful, writings with runes on both sides of the blade and as solid as a real sword. The wood display is beutiful and can be mounted on concrete and basicly anywhere you want to hang it, buy!

1. I read the reviews, and I have to agree. This is a great sword for a pirate costume. I love the fact that it's sharp as hell, but I'm sure I'll eventually hate the fact that it is sharp as hell. If you're dressing up as a pirate, you won't be able to beat this sword for what it cost. I don't know anything about costume swords, but had I paid $60 for this, I still would have thought I received a great deal.



2. I ordered this basically for a prop. What I got was a real stainless steel sword. I am shocked at the quality of this product for the price. What a deal!



3. This cutlass is nicely designed. The thick metal guard, with an attractive three-masted galleon relief, makes the hilt very heavy. The skull and bones accents on the throat and tip of the scabbard offer a nice piratical touch. The blade is well-crafted (for a display item) and beautifully polished. There are, however, some quality issues with this Chinese-made item. The wooden scabbard does not hold the blade tightly, especially at the throat, making the blade all to easy to slide out of its sheath. The scabbard also lacks a locket, which is useful for wearing the cutlass and peace-tying (peace-bonding) the blade to the sheath. My sword came with the handle significantly offset from the hilt. This was easily fixed by disassembling the entire hilt and then reassembling it for a tighter fit, but the handle can still be moved when wielding the sword. All in all, it is a handsome piece for the price, but a few improvements would make this cutlass even better.

5. I was especting this to be a little bit different than it was when I ordered it. The cutless didn't fully go into the sheath for an easier draw of the sword, but that fact was not mentioned and the picture shows it going all the way down. Very missleading if you ask me. The tip of the sheath fell off so I had to glue it back on. Looks nicer in the picture, but still has it's flaws. Still a nice sword though.
