3 comments about Eagle Catcher.
  1. I had one of these years ago and just recently purchased a new one I can say without hesitation that the product really works. Its great for martial artists, particularly those whose arts rely on grabs, chokes, and need strength in the hands.

These are also good for anyone needing general purpose finger strength, I havn't used one in ages but my friends still say I have some of the strongest hands they've seen and I attribute this entirely to the use of the eagle catcher.

  2. Great for finger strengthening. just a little difficult for someone with shorter fingers or a young person.

  3. This product works great. I mean you feel this working the entire hand and your forearms as well. The only drawbacks I think about this thing is that its really uncomfortable and I never really feel anything in my pinky. I feel all the pressure on my other four fingers though. All in all it a good hand workout and much better then other contraptions I've bought in to.

  1. This would have been a wonderful product, had it been a pair(set)of mits. For this price, I sent mine back because I couldn't justify paying for 2 of them.

5 comments about Rubber Practice Knife.
  1. As others have noticed the paint cracks and peels quickly so it gets ugly fast. Other then that it's perfect. I've had a couple dozen of these for training classes and they've held up perfectly for almost five years now. They bend but don't break, hit hard enough to tell you've been struck, but don't leave any lasting injury. I strongly suggest avoiding head shots or wear appropriate eye protection though. Great value-priced training tool.

  2. I bought this knife for a ninja costume, but I had done other martial arts before my ninja career took off on Halloween, and would think this an excellent practice knife for sparring... However, why let it end there...you could practice doing all types of things with this knife: practice cutting Turkey as Thanksgiving is coming up, practice carving wooden figures, practice opening mail, and pretty much practicing any other thing you can do with a knife. So good luck and remember practice makes perfect!

  3. It bends, so it's save to use when practicing self defence f.i.
My kids use it also. Yet don't bend it too much, because it will tear and break.

  4. The knife is fine, but do not order from Amazon. The entity that actually sells the product is Martial Arts Mart. They charged me $7 to ship this $3 rubber knife!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry! I will never order anything from Martial Arts Mart.

  5. The knife is kind of cheap. All the silver pealed off pretty quickly. A bit too flexable but it serves its purpose.

  1. My son is 11 and while this does a good job of protecting, a hard bite easily slices through the guard. This really is no different from any other mouthpiece. I was a little surprised that it wasn't more sturdy.

4 comments about Claws of Riddick Dagger Knife Chronicles of Riddick+Std.
  1. I would like to note I am NOT a fan of the Riddick movie, Though A blade this unique tends to get your attention reguardless! This knife is very practical, It's a solid piece of metal all around. I own a pair of these and used them on a grounded, wooden post for hours! Yet after my use they shown no sign of bends, Chips or dents! They shipped to me dull, But hey I don't mind sharpening them myself. A word of caution, You can seriously injure someone with these! Their odd form makes them very deadly if sharpened as well as mine are!

  2. When the claws arrived I was speachless. They are even better in person than by photo. They arrived sharp enough to barely cut butter, but some time with a good sharpener will solve that. I'm so glad I got them.

  3. Most "replica" type weapons in this price range are just made to sit pretty on a shelf or wall, not these. Made out a single piece of stainless steel, these are very solid knives. As the previous reviewers stated, these do come very dull, but a file, a sharpener and a couple of hours can fix that. Once sharpened these knives are very useable.

  4. These knives got here in good time and as soon as I took them out of the box I knew I was going to love them. They're strong and great to play with. On top of everything else ive managed not to hurt myself or anyone else with them yet, so I love them.

5 comments about Bob XL Body Oponnent Bag.
  1. I own two of these BOB's (Body Opponent Bag) one BOB & one BOB XL. They are great to practice striking specific areas of the body at full power and speed. BOB is a great addition to the heavy bag or better yet Muay Thai bag that every martial artist should own and practice techniques against.

The BOB XL allows strikes to the upper leg area with kicks, knees and batons for police academy recruit training. The only limit is working the body all the way around 360 degrees, you can not work the rear body, but can work the rear of the head for chokes and strikes.

  2. I purchased the body opponent bag (not the XL) to provide motivation and to compare its function to my old reliable heavy bag...BOB is terrific...however, whereas the heavybag is solidly hit when struck, BOB requires a little more finesse...the head gives easily and does not provide the resistance of a heavy bag...but this is good! Additionally, there is at least one DVD available which provides other methods of attack. I find I can practice choke outs on BOB. Overall, I would highly recommend BOB as a tool to add to your boxing/self defense/exercise regimen. (This review was not based on the XL. I would prefer to have the XL, however the guy without the trunks was more affordable!)

  3. I'm not too big on free standing punching bags but the BOB is something special, a separate class all it's own. The rubber skin more closely emulates punching a real person than a regular heavy bag. It is comfortable to strike for long periods of time without requiring hand protection yet holds up to serious abuse from fists, feet, elbows, knees, or whatever you want to hit it with. Furthermore, the human-like shape really facilitates targeting. If you are purely a traditionalist you'll probably want a makiwara (striking post). If you're willing to embrace the best in a modern training tool, however, this mannequin bag makes a great investment. There are some really good BOB workouts in books like Loren Christensen's "Solo Training 2: The Martial Artist's Guide to Building the Core for Stronger, Faster and More Effective Grappling, Kicking and Punching." This is a fantastic training tool for any martial artist.

  1. Overall, this is fine and serves its purpose. I replaced 2 standing shelves with this hanging one and created a whole little martial arts corner for my husband. Shipping cost was a shock... almost as much as the display itself! But I haven't been able to find one ANYWHERE else! I do like that it's wall mounted and black, and my hubby loves the little samurai guy.

  2. I got this one because it is one of the very few that have the Samurai warrior emblem on it. Good price, easy to assemble.

4 comments about Ten level belt display.
  1. I bought this for my niece when she got her green belt - she definitely loves it! Since then I have found other belt displays that are better quality. Next time I'll buy one with the elastic loops to hold the belts in place. This is good for a child...but if you're looking for a longer term and nicer display go look and see what Century has (they sell tons of Martial Arts Equipment) - I think Amazon also has a few like that in their Martial Arts section.

  2. I am returning this item. I bought it for a 10 year old, and I will not give it to him as it is not as expected at all. It is made up of 10 pieces of plastic with sharp edges (I cut myself just handling it) that attach together with metal hooks. I will look at the wooden racks instead.

  3. i bought this whene i got my second belt and i have to say it looks realy good i highly recommend this to those who are serius about martial arts it also is realy easy to assemble i recommend yarm or string for tying the belts but other then that i realy love this item

  4. This display came quickly and looked just as it does online. It's exactly what we needed to organize the growing collection of belts we have in our home. Our son is very proud of the display and it was easy to hang in his room. The clips that hold the belts to one another are a little tricky to hang onto one another, but I think it was because I put the belts on the base before clipping them together. Would have been helpful if there were some directions included, but after the first couple belts, it made much more sense and was a little easier.
