5 comments about Folding Grappling Hook Ninja Gear.
  1. the grappling hook works pretty well but the rope is worthless for climbing. definitely need some true climbing rope to tie on

  2. The product was received VERY quickly, I think it was three days after ordering. It is good quality, and very useful.

  3. Using it to help remove some tree from between 2 houses.
Throwing the hook into limbs, a friend pulls on the rope, while I cut it.
This way, we can control where it falls.
Might find other uses in the future.

  4. This is OK for use in tree cutting although I did bend one of the tines on it. But I wouldn't bet my life on it for rappeling. But for the price it is OK.

  5. The grappling hook is a pretty decent product for the price. I have no clue if would be effective in scaling a wall or whatever it is that Ninja's do, but it does work for latching onto debris in my pond and some pond dredging. I have noticed that other reviewers have found this to be a useful tool in yard work. I suspect that this product may be marketed incorrectly. A real grappling hook such as used by SWAT, etc. can cost over a hundred dollars and there does not seem to be anything in between a professional grappling hook and the Ninja grappling hook. As a niche product, it works pretty well.

  1. This is a very nice baton! It is very good quality. It comes with a sheath, but it will also fit in a normal-sized pocket. Compacted it is a foam rubber handle that is 8 1/8 inches long. With a flick of your wrist, you have a 21 1/4 inch long sturdy, steel rod that's good for whacking the ever-loving bejeezus out of pretty much anything that doesn't have a handgun. I got it for my wife for when she goes jogging on mostly deserted nature trails.

When expanded, the pieces lock together pretty tight, so you'll need to jam it really hard in to a cement surface to compact it.

  2. Serves the same purpose as the one that is twice the price. Good quality, fast shipping. Thanks!

  3. Quick shipping - was faster than estimated delivery. Vendor was polite and accurrate. Would buy from again.

  4. After I extended this baton, I could not close it! and I tried everything. The problem is that if it gets stuck and you cannot close it, you cant even send it back. If it did close properly, however, it would be a good quality baton.

  5. The item arrived early, was in great condition, had a great foam grip, good weight, and was quite effective as a weapon. I used it mainly for exercise, swinging it like practicing shadow swordplay (Great for cardio). After a few weeks, without notice, the smallest section pops off. I tried to put it back in, but now the section it retracts into directly is stretched, therefore it does not hold onto the thrown section. Albeit I may have been a bit rough, or used it too frequently, it may have been too quick of temperature variations, I dont know. I will try and return it, and if not accepted, I will try to repair it myself, at which time if I have no luck, it is now a shortened baton.

5 comments about Cotton Sole Kung Fu Shoes.
  1. bought 'em for use as cheap warm weather slippers for around the house, so i didn't expect much. they're fine as such while i'm wearing them, but the next day my feet ache from the complete lack of support. i have never had this problem with any other footwear, and i'm through wearing these things.

  2. These are great Kung fu/Qigong/Nei gong... cotton shoes. No issues at all.
Being cotton soles, of course they are for inside use:)

  3. These shoes are great for many reasons.. first of all if you are a dumb american traditionalist attempting to pose as a kung fu artist your shoes will fall apart for several reasons.. Reason number one is because you don't even know how to walk or respect the ground.. Reason number two is because your shoes are most likely a size too big, they're designed to fit tightly and stretch a bit once worn meaning if you normally wear size nine you should squeeze a size eight (41-42) around your feet to begin with.. Reason number three is because you're just a dumb american poser that just wants to look cool and attract attention.. Reason number four is because you know you're a dumb american and should have used a clear, super sticky, rubberized adhesive compound around the inside and outside creases of the stitching.. Everyone knows its better to adapt and overcome than trash a well made, functional product.. These shoes are Great for several reasons... One, they're not comfortable once they are broken in they're designed to turn a tenderfoot into a leatherfoot.. Reason number two is they're designed to turn an american set of disrespectful knees into an oriental set of respectful knees.. Reason number three is these shoes are silent as opposed to the rubber soled model which alerts everything from bugs to old ladies with hearing aids as to your whereabouts just like tap dancing shoes.. Reason number four is because you can run across a slick tile floor and just slide slide slide and its so much fun that if you're active and adrenalinated you can't get enough of them even if the poor little spoiled american baby's soles do come out a little bit... So if you have complained about this footwear theres a couple of things that we- the real- already see you doing... The first of them is WAH! WAH! WAH!... The second is BAAAA!!! BAAAA!!! BAAAA!!! Just like the worthless sheep that you are...

  4. The vendor hustled to complete my order and went so far as to contact
me to reassure it was to be delivered at soon as possible.

  5. These are good Gung Fu shoes to train in or just to wear. They feel comfortable and look good. When you buy these shoes make sure to get one size smaller than you are with other shoes.I wear a size 13 with other shoes so I got a size 12 with these shoes. If you don't train in Martial Arts or won't you these shoes when your training in Martial Arts you can get your normal size with other shoes(example if your a size 14 then get a size 14 instead of a 13)and you can slide a little bit depending on the floor.I plan on buying more of these shoes in the future.

  1. 108" hand wraps (such as the Everlast 4455s) are too short for most people to properly wrap their hands, unless they have very small hands such as some females or juniors. If you have normal or large-size hands or use any wrapping technique that uses a lot of cloth, like one that wraps between each finger, I strongly recommend going with a 180" wrap such as these. It may seem like a long piece of cloth, but you'll quickly use it up protecting your knuckles and wrist. Remember, don't hit a punching bag or anything else without properly protecting your hands with wraps and gloves. These Everlast wraps are cheap and basic protection.

  2. These wraps are allright. They wrap around the hand and between the knuckles without leaving too much extra. They seem to over stretch and deform after moderate use. I'm not too sure on the overall durability.

  3. I bought these after I bought the shorter, non stretchy ones. These are far better. They have lasted and kept their shape much better, and are much longer so they provide more coverage of the hands. I would highly recommend these. Make sure you hang them up between uses so they can air dry.

  1. This was good practice, but a true pro can slip out with just the right touch;p. Those who know how, know.
Otherwise, if you need these professionally, make sure to check the perps' lower body leverage, too, as I have had little trouble snapping this weightof chain with an assist from one (1!) leg, and I'm not as spry as I usedta coulda...

  2. Work great, come with two keys, double lock no problem.
    Fast delivery, well packaged.

  3. This handcuffs are extremely strong and durable. I use them for my security job and it holds up very well. Can also use for pleasure lol!!

  4. I got these as part of a package deal, I was going to get a set of peerless but the package price swayed me torwards these... They are an OK set of cuffs.. the action is ok, but the deadlocks stick and you have to beat the deadlocks for them to disengage.. I am not crazy about the finish either, it is kind of rough and not very polished. I will eventually get a set of peerless like I use at work, but for now these are ok..

  5. These handcuffs are okay for home use, but if you intend to use them for your profession, go ahead and pop the money on the smith and wesson's. A guy who knows what he's doing or is decently strong could pull the chain apart if he wanted to.

5 comments about 21 Inch Extendable Baton.
  1. ok so i ordered this item saturday night and it came to my house wednesday around noon, which was great because i was expecting it to come friday. and when i opened it, it was solid, hefty and seemed like decent quality metal.

    but...

it takes a real strong snap to fully extend to a point where it will not retract. and after a couple good hits on something hard, it will bend and look retarded. and thats if it doesnt retract on you because first time i tested on a pole, it just became real loose and collapsed. and after i snapped it open really hard and hit the post a couple of times, the top piece bent and it would not close properly. it took me a good number of whacks on the same pole to get it straight-ish again.

oh well, for 16 bucks, i guess i was expecting a lil too much. I guess i have to look up mods to try and improve it. i got what i paid for, so next time i will just cough up the extra 50-70 and buy an asp.

  2. This is a nice piece of hardware. Baton telescope at flick of wrist. It has to be jammed into something as hard as cement to get retracted. The harder you swing out baton, the more force you will need for it to retract.

Good for defense. Not too expensive like the ASP brand, but this will do for my wife and I.

The handle is rubber with a diamond style grip. The steel baton is sturdy. Friction keeps baton retracted until you swing it and expanded before you force close it.

Overall quality/price ratio is good. I would only use as defense, and SERIOUSLY. This is no toy, and can and will hurt somebody or something.

  3. This is my first time buying an extendable baton, and I am happy with it. I gave it only 3 stars because it can be a little hard to close it up again, and it's a little heavier than I expected. But it opens and locks into full extension in about 1 second, and I have no doubt I could easily defend myself from someone or some animal intent on doing me harm.

  4. I was pretty satisfied with this product. Its not as tough as the more expensive ASP batons but unless you need one everyday, you cant go wrong with this ecspecially for the price. When I first got it once extending it, it was really difficult to close, but after unscrewing the end cap and spraying some WD40 in it, it worked perfectly.

  5. What do you expect for 16 bucks? This is cheaply made and fell apart the day I got it.

The end cap on the handle is not the correct size and just falls off which makes it impossible to collapse the baton. I would save your money.

5 comments about Everlast EverGel Hand Wraps.
  1. Bought these to wear under my boxing gloves and they don't really allow the boxing gloves to slide on and off very easily. I wouldn't wear them alone to hit the bag - I would be afraid the gel like stuff inside the knuckles would come out. Maybe for light sparring they would be ok but for hitting a heavy bag I would not recommend. Go with traditional wraps and gloves.

  2. Alot of people who have written reviews, in my opinion are not realizing that these gloves are not being sold as a replacement for boxing/bag gloves.

These gloves are meant to be used a quick and easy alternative for HAND WRAPS, as in that tape/ace bandage looking thing that you see boxer's on TV wrapping their hands and wrists with before putting them inside of their boxing gloves.

They ARE overly tight and overly snug but that is to prevent injury to the small bones in your hand and also from spraining your wrist.

Two problems, the gel is to large to fit in some boxing gloves. And the stitching is somewhat weak , and since your buying this online ... I recommend going to your local sports goods store and try on the sizes and see what is good for you, that is what I did. Also over time the gloves break in like a baseball glove and become more comfortable and less overly tight.

Remember NOT A BAG GLOVE, NOT BOXING GLOVES

  3. I purchased this gift as part of my main Christmas gift for my husband. He LOVES the hand wraps and says that they fit great.

  4. I had tried on the Everlast EverGel Hand Wraps in large at a Big 5 store and thought that they were too big, so I ordered the mediums; however, they feel slightly uncomfortably tight and leave my hands red and sore. :( Hopefully they'll stretch a little, but otherwise they breath well and look sexy, ha! I've hit a bag a few times with them and they haven't ripped (as other reviews I've seen for them claim). I'll throw them in the wash one of these days and hopefully that'll help break 'em in.

  5. I read reviews of a few different gloves and went to the store to try them on and get the best fitting ones. I didn't plan on buying this particular pair, but I purchased these because they were the only brand in stock which fit me. So far, they have worked well, but the stitching doesn't look very well done. There are vents in the palm which keeps the moisture down some. They are comfortable and provide good, sufficient cushioning for light bag work (i.e. a cardio-kickboxing class.) For serious heavy bag work, as other reviews have stated, these are only meant to substitute for hand wraps.
On sizing, I am a woman with small hands, and a men's medium fits me great. My husband, who has what are normally considered medium hands, says these are too small for him. Even if you buy them on-line for a better price, I definitely suggest trying them on in the store.
Overall, I am relatively satisfied. Depending on how long they last, I may or may not get a different brand next time.

  1. as i was very pleased with the boken, i wouldnt suggest buying from other than sword demon. i bought mine from another and not only were there some dents in it but when it got here it was missing a piece and i had to contact the seller to get them to send a replacement. be sure to get the sword, the hard plastic guard AND the rubber piece that goes over the hard plastic guard. i originally bought two other bokens from sword demon before i got this one. but because i wanted a slightly cheaper product, (a difference of maybe two dollars at the most)i bought from another seller and got a shorter boken! it was shorter by three inches which kinda looks awkward when you have two other ones longer than it and heavier. so just be warned. and dont cheap out for two dollars for a cheaper product. just to be on the safe side, buy from sword demon. still a great product though, just disappointed by the lenght.

  2. I have just ordered one and after reading the other reviews, I'm satisfied that I made a good choice. Right now I'm not into practicing with it (since this is the only thing I could get at this price and certain people I live with wouldn't currently approve of me practicing swinging this thing around). It's basically for play (or cosplay) for Comic Con as something that can look like a sword in in it's scabbard. Since I'm not going to be hitting things with it, I feel happy that I ordered from Sword Demon.

  3. At only $9, this is an exelent buy. I have been using this thing for almost 2 years with great results.
    Pros:
Wrapped handel is very professionaly done.
    Very comfortable and lightweight.
    Realistically sized and scalled.

    Cons:
The center of ballence is not exactly in the center.
Chips and dents very easily (this is not for dueling!)

  4. A decent item for extremely light use. Use with any regularity more often then extrememly light results in the "cord wrap" sliding around and falling off; leaving a a very sticky glue film behind. Very light in weight though, so anyone can use it.

  5. its hard wood, its black, it hurts when you get hit with it, it's perfect

  1. Purchasing from Amazon was much more convenient than going to my local sporting goods store. No traffic, no lame excuses of why the product is not in stock, and no waiting in lines. I received a good quality product that was hassle free.

  2. although a little to big for me i still like them they are very good hand wraps and i think you sould buy them.

  3. These Are great wraps for little money. If you're just working the bags as a hobby or just for something to get the blood flowing these are great. If you're really getting into boxing or any sort of pugalistic sport, spend the extra money on some gloves.

  4. I haven't had any other hand wraps before but these wraps seem to do their job. They also weren't very expensive and ordering through amazon allowed me to use super saver shipping and they got here very fast.

  5. These work fine. You probably pay more for the Everlast branding but they are still cheap enough.

  1. At one time, you just needed to see the Everlast brand name to be assured that you were getting a top-quality product: one that would withstand anything you could throw at it.

Now that they've outsourced their manufacturing to China, Everlast quality is not the virtual guarantee that it once was.

I purchased (and use) these wraps. However, one of them was manufactured improperly. The velcro closure is sewn to a different side of the wrap than it is on all the others. Because of this, I always ended up putting it on backwards. I finally marked it so I would know to put it on differently than the others.

For around $10, you should expect to get something that has passed a quality-control check. After all, wraps are just some strips of cloth and velcro; they probably cost about $0.25 to manufacture.

These wraps are short, just over 100 inches, but fine for hitting the bag. They are not elasticized, but that is fine for my purposes, as it's what I prefer. If you want to do serious sparring or fighting, or if you want to put some padding on your knuckles (under the wraps), you'll need longer wraps than these. In short: you can wrap your wrist, knuckles, and thumb with these, but you won't have enough material to wrap between your fingers. They come packed in a plastic mesh bag, but it can't easily be reused. A cloth mesh bag with a drawstring would have been better.

    Summary: overpriced and shoddily-made.

  2. I'm a 5'2 female so my hands and wrists are pretty small, but these wraps are still way too short to complete the directions that they came with. The material is good so I still use them, but I have to cut way too many corners, so I'll still need to get another set. Good for young teens I guess.

  3. They are ok. One pair started coming apart, but that might just be from good ol' fashion hard training. I think I would prefer the mexican wraps. I prefer for my wraps to come up higher on my arm, but that is just my preference.

  4. These would be best suited for a child, woman or a man with very small hands. Offered little protection and coverage. Was not very satisfied and they are now sitting in a box in my home gym while I use other ones.

  5. The 3 pak hand wraps are a great value. It works out well for my classes to have the extras on hand so I am not always ordering them for my members. My students seem to like the different colors, but being that they are all female, would like to see pink, blue and yellow!!!
