1. Not as many tritium glow tubes as more expensive versions; only 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions are illuminated, along with the hands, but adequate to the task. Largish band may be a bit awkward for those with smaller wrists.



2. I purchased an Uzi watch in October 2007. 6 months later I am very satisfied with its accuracy (less than one minute slow in 6 months). But I purchased the yellow face which was a mistake. I should have returned it immediately but didn't. The hour and minute hands on this watch are white. The contrast between the light yellow face and white hands is so slight that it nearly impossible to read the time in lower light conditions. Uzi may have corrected this problem by making the hands black in later production. If you want a cool yellow face, make sure you check the hand color. Black hands are good. White hands are impossible to read. The other colors (red, blue, black) appear to be fine with good contrast and readability. Otherwise the Uzi Protector is a great value for the money. It is moderately rugged, waterproof to 200m (about 660 ft), keeps very good time, and is not too big or too heavy for even a smaller mans' wrist. At around 70 dollars it is an excellent value, and I will be buying a blue one to add to my collection of fun watches to wear for work and play. If you are buying it to get tritium vial readability, you might look elsewhere as it is minimally acceptable. In total darkness it is readable, but in the dawn and dust periods, it is not. I have a Marathon TSAR which is perfectly readable in all light conditions, but the cost was over $425! The Uzi is a good second choice, but will obviously not provide the same level of performance. The nylon band is OK, but I recommend a cool NATO strap to replace it. For only 16 dollars or so, it really classes up this watch and makes it even more fun!

1. This is the second piece I've ordered from this company, and my opinion of them only seems to be getting better each time! Indeed, they seem to know everything about their products, how to ship them, and how to create a weapon that any otaku can be proud of.
   
   First, the shipping. Not once have I had a shipment from this company arrive late or damaged. If pressed, I'd swear that they must pressure pack all of their packages with packing peanuts, because with each box, I pour out more cushioning material than I've probably received in the 10 previous orders from other companies. Expect good shipping and packaging from these people. They haven't disappointed yet.
   
   Second, the product. I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the sheath and irritated that it wasn't shown in the photo so that I could see it before ordering. It's a rather simple sheath suited to a Crocodile Dundee type outfit, and the tanto doesn't fit as snugly in it as it probably should. I was also not quite so pleased with the engraved "samurai" at the hilt as I expected to be, but as this is for a costume and the engraving really makes no difference, I cannot complain overly. The tanto itself, however, is a fine instrument. The blade is flawless; the handle grips nicely, and when viewed from the side (without its sheath, of course), it really is an intimidating sight.
   
   Overall, a great product! I would recommend the company and the tanto to most any otaku.
