- As others have noticed the paint cracks and peels quickly so it gets ugly fast. Other then that it's perfect. I've had a couple dozen of these for training classes and they've held up perfectly for almost five years now. They bend but don't break, hit hard enough to tell you've been struck, but don't leave any lasting injury. I strongly suggest avoiding head shots or wear appropriate eye protection though. Great value-priced training tool.
- These "knives" do work well for training. The only downfall is that the metallic paint does peel off over time, but the effect is still the same. One piece of advice if you are teaching students wearing white uniforms is that you should not "slice" on the uniforms because the product will leave a black line that does not always go away.

- if you want a very good and trustworthy fighting folder this is the one i have had it for a year now and it's great i use my for everything it holds a edge great and if you loosen the main screw just a little it will open as fast as a switch blade and the locking system is one of the best out there it will not close on your finger i got mine at walmart for 22 bucks so i got 2 one to test and use i put mine in a bench vise and tried my hardest to make the lock fail but would not close just get rid of the belt clip on the side it's worthless
