2 comments about Riddick's Saber Claw w/ Stand. (Black).
- These knives are reproductions from the movie "The Chronicles of Riddick". When I recieved these, and I was impressed. They seem to be very true to detail. Let me say this, they are sharp, but the edge's are also coated with paint. They look real good, and they work great with the stand that they come with. All in all, they make a very nice display, and they feel good in your hands.
- I must admit, these are my favorite of all my weapons. I'm not a screaming fan over the Riddick movies, but I still had to get these when I saw them. They come dull. Very dull, actually, but I prefer them that way. Because of the form of these, it would be very easy to accidentally hurt oneself (especially with the points being pointed up on the display). The metal is a good thickness; they're very sturdy. The black can chip if you're not careful.
The fabric of the handle is laughable if you look too close (it looks like badly imitated dragon skin), but still looks wicked even at casual inspection. The handles are the perfect size for the average male hand, and the cord/curves give them a good grip. Good buy, especially for the price.
I can not emphasize enough, however, that they're DISPLAY weapons. Yes, they probably would hold up to a wooden stick, but with the ridiculously impractical design of these you're as likely to stab yourself as you are the wood.

1 comments about Cold Steel Koga SD1 Submission weapon.
- This is a hard nylon version of the yawara stick. There used to be some impressive versions of these on the market, but now there's this one and two others, one aluminum and one wooden, both functional but rather less inspired. The more common pocket stick is the kubotan, which is just a shorter, skinnier yawara stick, usually configured as a keyring. Kubotans come in many shapes and materials.
As Don Rearic* writes, you can think of a pocket stick as a knife, but with two differences: You can thrust, but not cut; and you can target bony areas. Also, to the extent that poking holes in people is bad legal hygiene, the stick is safer than the knife. You can strike with the "pommel" of the yawara in a hammer blow or with the "point" in a reverse hammer blow or even a sort of rapier thrust, bracing the tip with the thumb. You can also use it to trap or lock joints, if you know what you're doing.
Anything you hit even moderately hard is going to hurt. This thing can break bone, pulverize muscle, and shock nerves, all without skinning or fracturing your knuckles. Yes, the product description says it's non-lethal, but if you whack someone in the head with it, you could kill him. And "just" breaking someone's bones is no joke, either. Before you try it out on friend or foe, do everyone a favor and take a few whacks at a piece of 3/4" plywood. This should give you some respect for what this tool can do.
Unlike many weapons, the yawara stick won't extend your striking range. You have to get up close and personal with whatever you're hitting, which usually means it can hit you. If you're too timid to close range, a pocket stick probably won't do you a lot of good.
This thing is like having big, indestructible knuckles on each end of your hand. Highly recommended.

- the knife is fine, small and easily concealable. where the blade attaches to the pen is a bit flimsy. take it apart and solder the inside then it will be plenty strong...oh and it writes well :)
did not get 5 star because i had to fix up the blade

4 comments about Scottish Highlander Sgian Dubh Dagger.
- Yep, another great gift for my boss. He will really like this one. It is fancy and would please any collector.
- When I ordered this, I expected the traditional sock knife work in the kilt hose top. These knives typically run between 6-8 inches long and are fairly thin. This particular product is more of the scottish dirk that is meant to be worn on the belt. It is in no way a sgian dubh.
- i just recieved my dagger today, its nice, but i was a little dissappointed with the use of plastic on it. the molding is clean and it has good detail, but the seam had an excess of plastic "flash" and isa little rough. the only other complaints i have are the use of two different molded in designs on the handle, braided leather on the front and wood grain on the back. and the "Stainless Made in China" engraved on the back of the blade. if these things arent of any bother to you, then this is a great product. it looks nice, and the blade came really sharp! i just think that the factory look of the plastic takes away from the authenticity of the piece.
- This knife is a good buy for the price. It has a heavy blade and a hard sheath. The blade has a bright shiney look. The sheath looks a little like plastic but it is not. The detailing is nice. The blade is very sharp.

- Total crap. That's all i can say really. THe pins fell out of the handles within 20 minutes of use (no i wasnt abusing it). Another problem following the same line is that before the pins actually fall out, the handles are far too loose anyway. If you're serious about honing your skills, this isnt a good investment.
- I got this for a friend to practice and it works great! They have had it for 8 months and NO pins have fallen out. The knife uses rivet pins, so there is no way to get them out unless they completely break in half, and that doesn't seem plausible. Overall I recommend this if you want to learn to use a butterfly knife without getting cut. Great practice tool and not bad for $20.
- As highlighted in other reviews this item is very cheaply made - fit and finish are practically non-existent. That said, its purpose is as a training tool and so far it seems to fit the bill but the low quality does bring its longeveity into question. Also, price is a little high for what you get.

3 comments about Stainless Steel Silver X-Claw w/ Stand.
- Its everything you'd expect from the pictures, the claw looks very cool, And the wall mountable plaque makes for a interesting display piece. I did have two issues with the claw I received.
1. The Claw doesn't hang properly on the plaque, this problem bugged me the most. The Plaque has two hooks that hold the claw in place when it is hanging on the wall, Unfortunately the holes for the hooks weren't drilled properly on mine so the claw hangs to the left slightly and not straight down. Not that hard to fix though I just drilled a new hole and filled in the other with a black filler.
2. The Blades on the claw aren't all aligned evenly, the middle claw is slightly lower than the other two blades. Its barely noticeable and didn't ruin the claw for me. Even if all the X-Claws are like this I'd still recommend it, I seriously doubt most people would notice or even care.
1 and 2. Both of these from what I can tell are quality control issues, I doubt all the X-claws have these problems. But if you want to avoid them you'd have to buy it in person and inspect it before you buy it.
Now for my personal recommendations if your going to buy this. The Claw comes sharpened so be extremely careful, its not razor sharp but you should still use the same caution you'd use with any blades. Just holding it in your hand and you can feel the blunt ends of the blades press into the fleshy area between your knuckles. If your going to actually try to wield it you should wrap or tape up your hand with special attention to the areas between your knuckles. Seriously though this is obviously a novelty item and not meant for combat of any kind. If you get one make sure its just for display, and put it somewhere out of reach from children.
Overall I'd say it was worth the money
- Made of good heavy material. You have to be careful not to hurt your knuckles.
- I ordered two and they look cool, just like the picture but the craftsmanship could've been better. All 3 claws are not aligned perfectly, they are off just a bit. Maybe a little nit picky but not bad for the price i guess. ps i only give 5 stars if its a steal and they werent on sale. :]
