   On this rope, the clip that adjusts the rope length and secures the rope in the handle is plastic so it doesn't corrode and is easy to adjust -just don't get it too short. In the Buddy Lee rope the metal clip often wears through the handle leaving the handle useless. The rope goes into a recessed hole, so the plastic that bears the pressure of the rope is not just a thin layer of plastic and there is no metal-to-plastic contact. I'll be doing a video to illustrate all this.
   
   I have no relationship with Matt Hopkins although I have spoken to him on the phone about his site and about this rope and the fact I was planning to review it - and the objective reasons why.

   I reviewed another speed rope - Magic Speed Basic Jump Rope. For Children & Adults. - that, as far as I can tell, is identical to this one except the cord is 9 feet long instead of 9'6". I'm 5'11" and I use the shorter rope - it's supposed to be good for heights up to 6'5", but I'd say you should go with this, the longer rope, if you're taller than about 6'2". Also, the shorter rope does not come with a video.

1. This product did arrive on time, but the rope itself was already cracking in places, and was very stiff. I have found a much higher quality rope at a local sporting goods store for about the same price... I recommend buying your jump rope from a local retail outlet!
