- This has really helped push my exercise level up a notch!! I play tennis on the weekends and was doing the exercise bike for 30-40 minutes during the week. I could only do the bike so fast or so hard because of my bad knee. Doing the jump snap instead of the bike has really helped my tennis, and it takes a lot less time too. It also seems to help my knee. I haven't had any issue with the balls hitting my hands. I also disagree that it does not count accurately. Sure, it might count a non-jump if you are moving around, but so what? I suppose you could also jump in place, but if you were actually going to do that, why would you have ordered this in the first place? Sure it is a gimmick. Unless you work on a farm or in construction, most exercise is gimmicky. If it gets you to move that is the main thing. I find the built in time tracker useful. Jump roping is very intense, so I can take a break without losing track of how long I have been at it. It is going build endurance on this, but that is exactly why I need to keep doing it, and it is fun to do.
- I love this wireless jumprope, no tripping, my exercise routines are continuos with no interruption. Great calorie counter and the workout dvd is a lot of fun.
- Dont have 45 min to do cardio? this is an excellent alternative for a quick pick me up. Burn almost twice as many calories in half the time. Havent used the dvd's as of yet but not big on any excercise dvd product. Definitely reccomend these for anyone specifically for those with little time but want to burn as many calories in 15 min as in 45 min of walking. Gave only 4 stars due to the odor of the foam at the end of the ropes, takes getting used to.
- This product is a great idea. I thought that it would help me stick to exercising inside without worry over hitting the ceiling fans. It does what it is supposed to do but you do have to use it. I'm not sure it is worth the $ but works if you use it.
- It only came with 1 DVD, the picture shows four. I thought I was getting a little more for my money.

- Not much to say about a jump rope, the handles are weighted and can be adjusted, the end bearings are smooth and cord length can also be easily adjusted. Overall I'm satisfied with the product and for those who like to bring some of their own equipment to the gym, I recommend hanging the rope rather than folding it because it will kink.

- This is really good jump rope. I am just casual jumper and the I liked the fact that this jump rope has weights in - it gives you that extra exercise, but you can take the weights out if you want to. The rope itself is heavy enough (not like those fabric ones) and it was just bit long for me (5'11").
- Cheap cord tangles and pointless to even try to use it.
I removed the cord and just use the weighted handles.
Still looking for a decent rope.
- Just got addicted to jumping rope recently and wanted a rope to give a little extra umphh to my workout. This rope definitely does the trick. To all that complained about the rope getting tangled, you need to really use some power to get the rope going. Once you get it going it is nice and smooth. I wouldnt buy this rope if your trying to speed jump or do tricks because the weight of it causes some issues. I am not great at crossing the rope or doing double unders but I've used lighter ropes and its much easier with lighter ropes. If you are looking to tone your arms (especially forearms) this is the rope. Adjusting the length is kind of a pain. If you need to adjust the length you have to open the handles. The rope is held by a sturdy piece of metal. There is a less sturdy piece of metal that hangs loose in the handle. To adjust the length you get the length you want and then cut off the excess length, then you take the less sturdy loose piece of metal and using pliers you crimp it into the rope and then put the handle back on. The only complaint I have on this rope is that less sturdy piece of metal really needs to be crimped tightly or the rope flies out of the handle. I actually had to call Valeo customer service and request a bunch of those pieces of metal used to crimp the rope at adjusted lengths. Otherwise this rope gives you a great cardio burn and you'd be surprised at how the extra weight does make a difference. I am 6 feet tall and had to take maybe 2-3 inches off each side.
- I bought this jump rope from Dunham Sports and afer just a few weeks of use it broke in half from normal use.
- Jump rope cord is coiled up in the package and the cord will stay kinked for the life of the rope. I was hanging mine up and it would kink at the point it was hung from. So for the several weeks that I had the rope it was never straight. I ended the life of the jumprope when it dropped out of my hand onto the floor and the cap that holds the cord to the handle snapped in half. What a piece of junk. I had jump ropes growing up that were better quality than this thing. Look elsewhere.

- Bought this as a gift for my 6 ft. husband and he likes it. He says it takes a bit of time to get used to the weight of the product but it's reminiscent of the old "gym-quality" jump ropes. The quality is exceptional, too.
- It's a nice jump rope but it already broke after a month! Beads flew everywhere! The rope broke along the handles and I only used it for maybe 5 minutes a day.
- I got this jump rope for my daughter and she loves it! Sturdy construction and good length for a single person.
- I got my rope within a 4 days! I started using it and I get a great cardio workout. I've been using this in my backyard on the patio and it holds up well. I'm 6'2" so the length is perfect. However, if you are any taller I would look to getting a longer rope.
- If you are a beginner, buy this rope. It's not too common to find beaded jump ropes at gym so if you are going to buy one jump rope, buy this one.
I would consider myself as an intermediate jump roper. I've been working out on jump rope for about 7 or 8 months and I've become pretty good over that time. Before using this beaded jump rope I used a speed rope most of the time.
I've used this jump rope for a few weeks now and I haven't had any problems. For me, beaded jump ropes are a lot easier to get into a rhythm with. The handles are comfortable. Much of the time I jump rope bear foot. My Harbinger speed rope can really hurt my feet and it's difficult to get into a rhythm with. That might be because I didn't shorten it enough.
I'm 6'0" even and this jump rope feels like it was made for me. If you are over 6'0" you may want to consider another rope. If I was 6'2" it is probably too short for you.
Not a single bead has fallen off yet, but that doesn't mean they won't eventually. They feel like they are on there pretty good.
Like I said, I've only been working out with it for 3 weeks. I use it on a wood floor. I carry it with me to the gym in my backpack and I don't have to worry about it getting tangled up. I have to leave my speed rope at the gym because it gets tangled up and annoying every time I carry it anywhere.

- This is a good rope. The bearings turn super smooth, it works. If I had a complaint it would just be that I was used to a heavier rope and handles, but that's just me I guess. Though weighted it's not much. The leather is a tad stiff but you won't notice it while jumping and I imagine it will soften in time. Minor stuff really, again, it's a good product.
- Awsome jump Rope. For the most part leather jump ropes are the best but Everlast is what i buy.
- I just love this jump rope. It has a nice fluid motion with the ball bearings! I ordered the 9.5ft rope and I am about 5'8". It was just a little too long, so I looped each end and tied a knot about 4" below each handle. This does not interfere with anything and shortens it just a bit. It is now the perfect length.
- So far it appears to be very well made. The handles are properly weighted and the bearings work extremely well. The only thing I would have liked different was a slightly different length. When I purchased it only 8 and 9.5 ft were avaliable I knew 8 would probably be too small but the 9.5 has proven to be just a touch too long. I can still use it pretty easily (actually works my arms and shoulders more holding them out more than straight down for the swings) but it could be unweildy for someone under 6ft tall.
- This is my first jump rope. I wanted something quality and slightly weighted and this fit the bill. Since I can't compare having not tried other ropes, I can't comment on how it compares to other leather or synthetic ropes. But so far it seems to spin as fast as I need it to and it is definitely giving me a work out as I build conditioning for jump rope. When new, the leather is extremely stiff and bent from packaging, but if you use 100% neatsfoot oil to condition the leather, it will become very supple and a bit heavier and straighten out nicely within an hour or two. Also be sure to store it by hanging it, not wound up.
Negatives to beware of: Any good jump rope needs to be adjustable. This one is a pain in the *ss to adjust (it is not advertised as being adjustable at all), though possible. You have to remove the little spring holding the bearing in place, cut the rope and reposition the metal piece holding the leather behind the bearing. Not a fun procedure and possibly will ruin your rope and/or handles if you're not careful. Secondly, I began to notice that my rope was rubbing on the rim of the wood handle and actually wearing away at one particular spot. I quickly put some electrical tape to protect the area from further wear (I could see the leather wearing through and eventually breaking without this). So, in short, the rope is a bit lacking in the design department and in terms of adjustability.

5 comments about Harbinger 331200 Trigger Handle 10-Foot Adjustable PVC Jump Rope.
- I've used these for about a month and they have completely worn out. There is no proper way to shorten the length of the jump rope. I tied off the excess, then the rope inside the handle would not rotate when I was using it. It eventually wore through the plastic covering the rope. I just threw it away this morning because it is unusable. I'm going to order some better quality ones, and I suggest you do the same.
- The trigger handle shape is nice, and the adjustable rope length is also a plus. But the PVC rope really hurts your toes if you like to jump barefoot. Also if you store it curled up, the bends in the rope never really straighten while jumping unless you are going 200 rpm. Tried the newfangled version, now I will go back to my ratty old soft rope. BTW, a 9' length is fine for me, and I am six feet tall. Even with adjustable 10' ropes I only had it at about 9' 2", and you can add the extra 1" on each side by holding the handles further back.
- Have had a number of these ropes. Work well and hold up well. Still using one that's six months old. But, difficult to adjust size...cut down from 10 feet to 9.5. Should have easier way to do this....otherwise a good item
- I bought this jump rope because I wanted one that was long enough, I am 6'2 and thought this would be good. I like the quality of the jump rope but it was way too long for me. It said in the details that you could shorten it, but I haven't found a way to do that yet. I was a little disappointed.
- This rope only lasted through a few weeks of fairly light (30 min/day) use before snapping at the handle and almost breaking a window in my apartment.

- These are great jump ropes. The plastic segments add enough weight and inertia to help keep the rope twirling. The segments in the middle that hit the ground take a lot of abuse and break easier than I expected. These would be 5-star items if not for the relatively brittle links.
- This rope was for my toddler (3) but we found the 7 foot length too long so we found other games to play with it til he grows in. Very sturdy and bright colors made it fun for him to play with.
- I've used this rope with young athletes during the course of promoting coordination and physical fitness. I've had no problems with the jump rope. It has proven to be durable so far while taking quite a lot of abuse. So far I've used it inside but it has held up fine.

- I'd been looking for a good, durable jump rope so my daughters could have more things to play outdoors when I came across these. They used to have these in my elementary gym classes and I loved them. They're sturdy, colorful and when you swing them they keep a better shape. I've already bought several of them. I would recommend also getting a book on jump rope rhymes. We have Anna Banana. They get exercise, fresh air, and wholesome fun. Who could ask for more?
- I recently was told I needed to lower my blood pressure,I like was told a great way to get the heart rate up was swimming ,running and jumping rope I decided to get a jumprope. This is a strong lightweight jumprope exactly like the ones used at many schools throughout the USA .It is exactly what I wanted it to be.I expect it to continue its usefulness for years to come.
- This is a great jump rope at a great price; the kids love the 2 colors, they love the beaded look, and they love the handles.
My kids are 6, 7 (8 in 2 days) and 12. They can all easily use this size jump rope; it's weighted well enough that they can even speed jump on some pretty windy days. I can even use this size jump rope (at 5'2").
Buy several at once to save on the shipping cost, if you can! I ordered 2 and am going to order 2 more, and I wish I would have known what size to get the kids originally and I would have just ordered them all at once. I made the mistake of also ordering the 6' foot rope, thinking my 6 yr old would be better off, but he can barely use the 6' foot and can use this 8 ft with lightning speed!
- I had read a previous review that said that this length worked well for both her and her younger son. Thank goodness I read that review because I would have ordered a rope that was too long. I am 5'2" and this 8 foot rope is perfect. I really like how the long plastic beads keep the rope in a perfect arc.

- If you want classic jump ropes for your kids, get these. They're so durable. The kids love them.
- This product was a great value for the money. I only wish it has an instruction card for double dutch as it took us a while to figure out how to use them at the same time. Overall a good value for the money.
- Jump rope priced great, however, the shipping is so high that it's not the best deal. Shop around through Amazon for better rates on shipping. Tip to ATAFA: You should give quantity discounts. Too bad you didn't get my large order.

- Just starting to train for boxing, and I have not jumped rope in over 20 years. However my experience was this was a easy to adjust jump rope, and it works well. My rope had 2 metal collars, and as another reviewer noted I simply tied a knot between the fixed collar and the sliding collar, and then folded the slack back inside the handle. No troubles here, worked great once adjusted. Now just to increase my reps. Really at this point I cannot see a need for a different jump rope anytime soon.
- Works like any other jump rope. Have not had any problems with it and my kids seem to like using it.
- No need to shop any further for a decent jump rope. This rope works! I'm about 5'9" and I didn't need to adjust the length. I use the jump rope for conditioning and improving my footwork for basketball (this has translated into more blocked shots, rebounds, and buckets). I use this jump rope as often as possible every day and have found the product to be of sturdy construction.
- preface: i'm a guy. this is my mom's account.
review: manly. great. you will need your tools (pliers only)
- I am 6 feet tall. I read the reviews before buying this too! But I was not clear and thinking that I am tall enough for this. But I was wrong. There is no adjustment available. I bought a pair of them thinking that my wife can have her own. For her this rope is very long and not adjustable. She is trying to wrap excess rope around her hands. However that is not helping her in any way from what I observed while she is skipping.
I recommend try to look for one it offers adjustable rope. I didn't try opening the handles to see if I can cut the rope a bit at the edge. Once I try opening the handle I will post my findings back.
It is priced well and good quality item. If the manufacturer can provide the rope adjustment this is a the best in this price range.
