- I had to have this sticker to "represent" my preferred brand of martial arts equipment. It look's real good on the back window of my truck. It's very durable and weather resistant so far. Pretty cool for a logo sticker!

- these uniforms are excellent considering the price of them, a lot higher quality then I expected.
- I purchased this gi for my boyfriends Ryu costume. On the site size chart it says size 5 is for someone 5'11" - 6'2", 170 - 200 lbs. My boyfriend is 5'11" and 175-180 lbs. When the gi arrived it looked and felt very nice but it runs VERY large! On the actual package that it arrived in it said size 5 is for 6' 200 lbs and the size 4 is actually what I should of bought. Thankfully I'm cutting the arms and bottom of the pants off or else I would have had to return it. For the price it is an excellent quality.
- Uniform came promptly. I was very pleased with the quality, service, and price. I bought it simply for a Halloween costume, but this uniform will last for a long time!
- The material is thick for the price! But one drawback is that the elastic is too tight for me. I am 5'3" and 118 pounds so I am not overweight. It is still a bit too tight a slightly uncomfortable. I dont really notice it though as I am focused on practicing. But when I first put it on it is uncomfortable.

2 comments about Judo / Jiu-Jitsu / Aikido Gi Piranha Gear Pants (Double Weave), White.
- I practice BJJ. After two of my gi pants (by another maker) ripped, I decided to purchase these because I had good experience with other Pirahna products. I was somewhat worried because they were double-weaves, which have a reputation for being heavy and slippery, but I figured double-weaves would be more durable.
Gi pants were great. They were not noticeably heavier than my single-weave pants, yet felt much more durable. They are pleasant to touch and seem to show good craftmanship. They do not get soggy after a workout like my other gi pants. And after two months of heavy usage, I have not yet noticed a single thread unraveling.
The transaction was flawless and the product arrived quickly.
It would be great if Amazon can pull off a free shipping option off this. Nevetheless, a great buy.
- Pants are a great buy. I had orignally bought the wrong size and the people at Piranha gear were very helpful in making the exchange.

- Hello, let me start by saying this is probably your first Gi. I can tell, as it was mine. I've been grappling No Gi for years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and have always been happy with that. However, you cannot (unless it's not traditional, therefore your technically creating your own Martial Art) move up the belt system unless you have a Gi. Not saying you have to roll everyday in it, but, it does help you, considering everything on your body becomes a handle, and you have to rely on technique rather than strength. All that aside, here goes. I started training BJJ under a black belt instructor recently, amazing guy, if your in Culver City, let me know, I'll pass his info to you. And I decided that since I did want to say I have a belt, I didn't care which, that I would buy a Gi, and then, I can learn and show people I've learned. Think of this like, Good Will Hunting, Sure you can know more than most people, but without a belt, you can never legitimately teach BJJ. You can, but again, not traditional. So, I order this Gi. For two reason, and I'll say the first being more important. I like dealing with Piranha Gear. I bought shin pads from them not to long ago, I liked the packaging, I like how well they take care of you, and I generally like the company. Is it my favorite brand of stuff. No. But would I rather give my money to a good brand, that I trust and is actually looking out for me. Yes, I would. Think of this like wearing a pair of Levi 501's vs Diesel. Same thing, one is better, one is also twice as much, and beyond the name, there really are not a HUGE amount of differences. So, that brings me two reason 2. This was 50 bucks, 60 with shipping. And it got to me in 2 or 3 days. I didn't need to spend 200 bucks on something I wasn't even sure I'd like. It didn't rip, it has a great collar. Now, if you've looked at Gi's let me explain collars. This is a compition collar, it's good and light. You can get the Thick hard to grab collar, but it's heavy, and it almost chokes you with how thick it is, these are also known as Cheat Collars by grapplers, as they are so thick they are hard to grab. Then there is the rubber collar, probably the best BUT.... wash it, and after a lot of use the rubber starts to collapse, and bunch up. It ends up looking very schrunchy like. So I am happy with this, it's grabblable, it's light, and it's durable. Of course order a size larger, and upon putting it on the first time your going to think HOLY JESUS I ORDERED A STRAIGHT JACKET! Don't worry, it shrinks. To give you an idea, I'm 5'8" and weight 165. I wear jeans that are 30x30 and shirts that are medium. At first this was humongo. After a wash and a hang dry, it's much much better. And if I needed it to shrink more, I could throw it in the dryer once. So I ordered the A3 (5) and it fits me perfectly. It also comes with a White Belt. So, you actually don't have to order one on the side. The belt at first is stiff, but give it time, it's a sign of progress when they thing gets loosened up. What else....Oh, it comes with fantastic washing instructions. Read them, they make you giggle a bit, and it's very helpful.
I think that's it. I'll let you know it it rips, but thus far, it's held it's own. Maybe someday when I feel froggy I'll spend the 200 bucks for a Koral or maybe 130 for Fuji, however more than likely, I'll just buy another one of these. Or maybe 3 of them for the same price as the other. Sometimes it's best to spend the money for the better product. Sometimes, it's not. This is one of those times.
- I bought this yesterday and ordered regular shipping and I got it this morning. Freaking nuts.
The quality of the material is really good too. I thought I'd get a paper-thin gi or something but this gi is really thick and durable. Definitely a good buy
- The Gi is much lower in quality when compared to my first gi which is a single weave atama. I also don't like the internal draw string on the pants as I see this being a weak point and a potential fail point in the design. I've had the Gi for 2 months and it's lasted so far. The belt it comes with is a joke too.
- This is the first Gi I have ever bought, so my knowledge base is very limited. I can say however that I am very pleased with the company and the product. The Gi arrived very quickly, was exactly what I thought I was getting and it came with a white belt so I didn't have to go and buy one somewhere else. The pants have an internal drawstring which is different from most Gi pants, but I like it. I have seen some of the guys at the dojo having to re tie their pants from time to time, so I think the internal drawstring is a good idea. I would suggest that you do order a size larger than what you normally wear as the Gi will shrink once you wash it. Also, Piranha gear supplies you with washing instructions so if you don't know how to care for a Gi you will once you're Gi arrives. Good luck trying to find another Gi that's made this well for this price.
- Hey Bill,
I noticed from the other feedback that y'all had great customer service, but I never expected this. My husband's height is 5" 6', he weighs 170 lbs, he has a 35" waist, and wears a medium size t-shirt when I ask him to. I ordered an A3 or 5 and it fit great. He did just mention to me that the last two gis (specifically for Judo) that he ordered were a little too big even after trying to shrink them. They were the size A3 also. The belts were all just fine. Anyways I hope this helps. Thank you for a great product.

- My kid loves his new gi. It looks sharp, and it doesn't hinder his movement, come undone, etc. He wore it happily to his first belt test.
The sleeves and cuffs required hemming, but that's a plus for growing kids. Hint: a glue-gun does the trick and is easily undone/redone.
We got exactly what we ordered, and the quality as every bit as nice as I'd hoped. Good communications and prompt shipping rounded out a great buying experience.
I'll order again from this vendor.
- This uniform works very well in any type of class. its tough material allows you to feel very free but still protected. I use it in my kajukenbo class where i get thrown around a lot. this is perfect for any beginner.
- I was apprehensive to get this Gi . But I am glad I did. They sent me the Macho Brand (which is very good). The gi's came on time with excellent pacakging and quality. I higly recommend this gi.
- I ordered this to go with a book my granddaughter was doing for school. I doubted it would arrive in time but she wanted it for her project. To my dismay this suit arrived before the book and got her an A for the project. Thanks for helping me get an A in grandparenting!
- Up front I probably need to speficy that we don't use this for actual Karate, my son was a jedi for Halloween so we needed something to go under his robe, and this seemed like a great fit since they come in all sorts of different sizes.
The uniform was shipped quickly, it seems really nice quality, and we still let him wear it for dress up and play (he's just turned 3 but wore it when he was 2 last Halloween). Makes me want to put my son in Karate when I see him in the uniform :)

- These are great quality pants. I bought them for my 14 year old son for Taekwondo. They wash extremely well, and are very comfortable. Highly recommended.
- I loved this item. Sizes were exactly as stated. I actually like these pants better than what they sell at the karate studio where my grandson goes. I definitely plan on buying more as we need them.
- Pros:
Quality construction/materials
Wide waist band
Cons:
Might be snug if you are on the heavy side
Who should buy the medium weight uniform? Anyone looking for a nice upgrade to the cheap do balk/Gi most classes provide, but still have a light enough uniform to train in.
These Century medium weight pants are a great upgrade to the semi transparent "student" pants. They feel heavy without being to abrasive or restricting. The elastic waist band is wide enough so it doesn't roll down down my waste as I train, but there is no flexibility in the waist size. If you are on the heavy side the uniform won't stretch over a large belly, get a slightly larger size than you need and hem the legs. High quality material and well made.

5 comments about Judo / Jiu-Jitsu / Aikido Shock Wave Uniform (Single Weave Elastic Waist).
- I purchased this beginner gi based on other reviews here. I wanted a lightweight summer gi to alternate with my current fuji single weave. I was so disappointed with the loose threads and bad stitching that I returned the item. I am beginner aikidoka in the Tomiki style. I workout 2-4 times per week. I wash my gi every time after use. I just didn't think that it would hold up even after one wash with all the loose threads it already had, let alone hold up to judo influenced aikido. Personally, I think it's worth the extra $10-15 to get better quality.
- I ordered two of these. One size 7 for me, I am about 6'5", 240-250 pounds, and a size 6 for my friend, who is 6'0", 200lbs. Both of the gis fit well, and so far are durable. I have worn them to Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Kickboxing each 4 days a week for three weeks (36 classes total), and have no loose threads, rips, tears, etc. Washes very easily, and even though it says line dry, I have had no problem throwing it in the dryer. It shrank a little after the first wash, but not much. I think this is a great practice gi, but can not vouch for it in competition yet. The jacket is a little heavier than I would like, but that is only because I am in Virginia and right now we practice in a small gym that is about 110 degrees, and that thickness makes it durable enough to flip a 250 pound guy, so I can deal.
The customer service is great. I got a hand written thank you note with my order, and a personal thank you after posting feedback. Since I ordered two gis of different sizes, they asked if I found a good fit and if I needed to return the other one. This is without a doubt the best customer service I have experienced from an Amazon.com seller. I will definitely look to them in the future for MMA gear needs.
- I am already the very satified owner of the Piranha Double Weave Ju-Jitsu Gi. Enjoyed a great workout today in class with it. I wanted to get this single weave for the warmer weather. Once again, my compliments for quick delivery and good customer service. I am an intermediate level student of Budoshin Japanese Style Ju-Jitsu. I do not engage in competition, I practice only for self-defense. I am 6' 1" and 200 pounds. The number 6 gi fits me well. This is a good dojo practice gi for the price and stitched well. I personally like the elastic waistband over the traditional string ties. Good choice for the beginner to an intermediate student like me.
- I ordered this uniform for my daughter and was amazed at the quality! It is well made and seems like it will really hold up to her Aikido classes. I did order the wrong size, but the customer service was great! They were able to guide me thru the return process and figuring out the proper size I needed and it all took place in a very short period of time! They kept in touch with me thru every step and even asked that I let them know how I made out with the replacement uniform. I would recommend this company and uniform to anyone I know!
- Hi folk,
I want only to say that this uniform is perfect. Very good quality, very resistent. if i have to buy another one I will try to get the same brand!
