1. i'm a long time martial arts and amazon shopper, and i have to say, Piranha gear is hands down the best company i've dealth with in both arenas.
   
   This is a great GREAT value. It's the approximate quality of a koral traing gi without the koral patches on it. And the shipping is like, comedically fast. I ordered on a friday night, and my gi and shorts were at my door on Monday morning. No extra cost for crazzy fast shipping, that was just the normal option. I know, I sound like a paid spokesperson. I'm not. I'm just really impressed by the level of customer seervice these guys have. Every order comes with a handwritten note on the receipt with a thank you note from Bill. I'm honestly not sure what the note says, because Bill's handwriting is 100% illegeble, but judging from how cool and accomidating he's been in the numerous emails I've got from him, I'm sure it's something lovely like "thanks, enjoy your products". Or possibly it's Korean. I'm not sure.
   
   But truly, the quality of this gi (and the others i have, the vale tudo pants, everything else) is excellent quality. This single weave breathes fantastic, as I train in Tucson, az where it's about 250 degress in the training room with the air on. It's a rugged gi as well, easily standing up to whatever I can throw at it (I'm 250 pounds of awesome) and actually releases stains quite well (i bleed like an infant in a cactus patch).
   
   I reccomend the elastic waist vs the drawstring one, as the elastic has a drawstring, too, and are a bit more comfortable. The pants are light weight, but have reinforced knee patches on the wear spots. The kimono is quite tough as noted before, and the lapels and sleeves resist stretching quite well despite hours of use.
   
   as far as sizing, I'm one of those oddballs that prefers a little bit larger of a gi, so my A5 fits perfectly after washing with no dry. I can see, however, that if you like a tighter gi a run through the dryer should cinch it right up. I've read from other reviews these run a bit small: from what i can tell and talking to other with PG in my class the sizing chart they provide is dead on.
   
   Also, the logo is pretty sweet, which i've slapped on my car and gi shoulders. If you're looking for a brand to get behind that's not played out like tapout or WW, and not co-opted by d-bags (affliction) this isw a great company that I have a strong belief will become big time in the near future.
   
   Only complaint: I want a full back Piranha patch, Bill.
   
   Anyhow, buy their stuff. you'll like it. I promise. And you know I wouldn't lie to you.



2. I've owned this uniform for about a month now and have grappled with it on about two dozen times. We grapple full on, live and this thing has taken a beating. Like other reviewers, I wish I had bought a little bigger size because I washed and dried my Gi top (that's a no no) and it shrank a little. It still fits, but it's very tight. I'll probably end up buying a whole new uniform soon.
   
   Overall, this is a very tough uniform that I see lasting for years.



3. The product is what I've been looking for since my purchase I've enter 2 tournament and won second place. This is a great buy for anyone studying Jiu-Jitsu and can't afford the 100-200 dollar Gi that serves the same purpose. AWESOME BUY!!!! Five star!!!!!!!!!!!



4. Nice beginner Gi. bought a3 and I am 5'8 185lbs. Fitment is good. Drawstring Pants are nice, stretch out a little after rolling though



5. Very good product. I own a competing brand that has lasted through over 6 years of light BJJ training. I only attend 1ce per week on average. However, I could see the color of my old blue GI was starting to fade, so I began reading up on GIs. Several good write ups came from the PIRANHA products, and the price was unbeatable, so I gave it a shot. It looks and feels much like a BJJ single weave GI, even though they don't advertise it as such. It is a little large when compared to BJJ style GI's, but I was easily able to shrink the GI down to size. The drawstring pants were perfect, with extra long cords so you can secure your stuff w/o worrying if it will come loose.
   
   I would not buy another GI from anywhere else.

1. I practice BJJ. After two of my gi pants (by another maker) ripped, I decided to purchase these because I had good experience with other Pirahna products. I was somewhat worried because they were double-weaves, which have a reputation for being heavy and slippery, but I figured double-weaves would be more durable.
   
   Gi pants were great. They were not noticeably heavier than my single-weave pants, yet felt much more durable. They are pleasant to touch and seem to show good craftmanship. They do not get soggy after a workout like my other gi pants. And after two months of heavy usage, I have not yet noticed a single thread unraveling.
   
   The transaction was flawless and the product arrived quickly.
   
   It would be great if Amazon can pull off a free shipping option off this. Nevetheless, a great buy.



2. Pants are a great buy. I had orignally bought the wrong size and the people at Piranha gear were very helpful in making the exchange.



3. As an Aikidoka, I'm constantly taking Ukemi (break falls/rolling). I wanted to find a good pair of pants that could handle constant abuse from the mat. Fortunately, I found them. These Piranha pants have a quality weave, reinforced seams, and a double layering for the knees. However, the strength/quality of the cotton is such that I would even wear a pair without reinforced knees.
   
   I'm 5'11" and found that the size 4 fit me perfectly after a wash. I didn't even have to hem them. Also, I went with the draw string pants instead of the elastic waistband. There is a loop hole in the front that helps keep the pants in place if you tie the draw string to it. Love it!



4. I actually purchased these a while back along with a few other items. Unfortunately, I was a little off on sizing and had to return everything, but Bill at Piranha Gear was extremely helpful in getting me the correct pants for my size (I am 6'4" with long legs and had to go with Judo pants). The pants have held up and still fit well after repeated washings. The customer service at Piranha Gear really is top notch, and very personalized. I will definitely be buying from them again in the future.

1. I have been practicing TKD for 8 months, have tried several pants for my training... I will not change these, are perfect.. the fabric is soft, design comfortable to practice martial arts.



2. I suggest to order a size up from what you normally wear or you'll be reduced to peacocking in these (these pants are tightly fitted in the hips). Although I admit I'm one of those in-between people- 3 tends to be short, 4 tends to be real baggy in the backside. In any case, plenty of length to work with. Seems to be cut more for a girl in style if that's what you're looking for. I've decided against them because I'm afraid they'll be too constricting for movement.

1. So, I'm a new student...but, I decided that I was going to stick with karate class because I enjoyed it...so it was time to buy a gi. Well, based on weight, the size I ordered should fit. (I knew it would be long...all the pants I own have to be hemmed!) This is definatly made for men. I'm going to have to have it altered quite a bit. The pants barely fit my hips and the top is just huge (though, any size smaller and it would be even worse!) So, Women, good luck! If you have any curves at all, just know that you will need to do some altering. Add that into your price you're willing to spend on a uniform.

2. I purchased this gi for my boyfriends Ryu costume. On the site size chart it says size 5 is for someone 5'11" - 6'2", 170 - 200 lbs. My boyfriend is 5'11" and 175-180 lbs. When the gi arrived it looked and felt very nice but it runs VERY large! On the actual package that it arrived in it said size 5 is for 6' 200 lbs and the size 4 is actually what I should of bought. Thankfully I'm cutting the arms and bottom of the pants off or else I would have had to return it. For the price it is an excellent quality.



3. Uniform came promptly. I was very pleased with the quality, service, and price. I bought it simply for a Halloween costume, but this uniform will last for a long time!



4. The material is thick for the price! But one drawback is that the elastic is too tight for me. I am 5'3" and 118 pounds so I am not overweight. It is still a bit too tight a slightly uncomfortable. I dont really notice it though as I am focused on practicing. But when I first put it on it is uncomfortable.



5. It has held up really well so far (about 10 washes). It was a bit stiff at first, but after about 2-3 washes, it softened right up!

1. It's a great gi and it looks as described, the only thing that made me rate it 4 stars is the fact that the material is thicker so during the warm seasons you might sweat and "suffer"...



2. I just got the gi not to long ago and started to use it this week. So far its holding up great. Feels really good and the lapels are thick and strong. My buddies and I grapple pretty hard for a few hours every day, and this gi is holding up very well. All in all this is a great gi for the price and just because its a great gi. The customer service is also top notch. The first gi I received was way to big, i told them what the deal was and I got another one in a matter of a week. Weather your a beginner or a seasoned vet int the grappling game this is a great choice.



3. I have purchased several Gi's over the years that were far more expensive than this one. I needed one to train in that if torn or ripped, i would not be upset. This product was heavy, durable and no one could beleive the price I paid. I will be buying this product again and recommend this to anyone that grapples more than once a week.



4. Great Gi for kids! Bought it slightly big for my daughter, but it shrunk nicely once it was hung dry after the first and second washing. Very sturdy!



5. I bought the size 3 when I started aikido in janurary and found out it was a little big even after washing it... Then something happen to it and I had to buy another one. So now I'm with a size 2 and I must say, it better fits my body than the first one. The sleeves are not to long and the pant legs are just fine.

1. These are great quality pants. I bought them for my 14 year old son for Taekwondo. They wash extremely well, and are very comfortable. Highly recommended.

   Who should buy the medium weight uniform? Anyone looking for a nice upgrade to the cheap do balk/Gi most classes provide, but still have a light enough uniform to train in.
   
   These Century medium weight pants are a great upgrade to the semi transparent "student" pants. They feel heavy without being to abrasive or restricting. The elastic waist band is wide enough so it doesn't roll down down my waste as I train, but there is no flexibility in the waist size. If you are on the heavy side the uniform won't stretch over a large belly, get a slightly larger size than you need and hem the legs. High quality material and well made.



4. These are decent pants. The wide elastic band is very comfortable. I had to modify the length and bell of the pants as they are a bit "disco" for my taste. The price for the pants is good, but the shipping and handling charge is excessive and a bit slower than other companies.



5. I received the package right away. The size was too small so I returned it for a larger one with no problems.. Great quality pants!!

1. My kid loves his new gi. It looks sharp, and it doesn't hinder his movement, come undone, etc. He wore it happily to his first belt test.
   
   The sleeves and cuffs required hemming, but that's a plus for growing kids. Hint: a glue-gun does the trick and is easily undone/redone.
   
   We got exactly what we ordered, and the quality as every bit as nice as I'd hoped. Good communications and prompt shipping rounded out a great buying experience.
   
   I'll order again from this vendor.



2. This uniform works very well in any type of class. its tough material allows you to feel very free but still protected. I use it in my kajukenbo class where i get thrown around a lot. this is perfect for any beginner.



3. I was apprehensive to get this Gi . But I am glad I did. They sent me the Macho Brand (which is very good). The gi's came on time with excellent pacakging and quality. I higly recommend this gi.



4. I ordered this to go with a book my granddaughter was doing for school. I doubted it would arrive in time but she wanted it for her project. To my dismay this suit arrived before the book and got her an A for the project. Thanks for helping me get an A in grandparenting!



5. Up front I probably need to speficy that we don't use this for actual Karate, my son was a jedi for Halloween so we needed something to go under his robe, and this seemed like a great fit since they come in all sorts of different sizes.
   
   The uniform was shipped quickly, it seems really nice quality, and we still let him wear it for dress up and play (he's just turned 3 but wore it when he was 2 last Halloween). Makes me want to put my son in Karate when I see him in the uniform :)

1. The quality of this uniform (gi) is fantastic and can be used by any level Judoka or Jujutsuka! It's strong and well worth the price for the product! It's unfortunate that I have to send mine back because it's too small... GREAT PRODUCT!! I recommend it!



2. ...Which is not in the product description, and prompted me to buy an extra belt. Overall the quality of this gi is quite high, and I am happy. I am practicing Aikido, and the reinforced stiching on all corners and edges of the gi is much appreciated. I found that the size 4 was more than big enough to fit me, so I have been machine drying it to promote shrinkage. (I could have washed on hot). Due to the intrinsic qualities of a gi, I highly recommend buying a slightly larger size if you're on the edge as shrinking is natural over time.



3. I got this uniform set figuring I am just getting into Jiu-Jitsu and don't need a very expensive uniform yet. I am very happy with the construction of the gi. The problem I ran into is the pants. The pants are rather light weight and I blew out the seam in just my second practice session in them. All in all, if you're looking for an inexpensive gi, go for it, but you may want to buy a different set of pants.
