  1. Wore out one of the cheapo bags in about three months. This one has gotten heavy use for six months and is still like new. Holds proper psi for months at a time. Shape is perfect, well balanced, seams are easy on the hands.

  2. I felt the need for speed! This bag is an excellent general purpose bag for the whole family or group. The size, feel, and response is right in the middle of the "zone". Great for beginners and fast enough for the pro. Make sure you grab the pro swivel for proper bag movement. I've been using much more frequently than my old bag because the experience is sooo much better. Enjoy!

  3. This was a gift for my son and he really liked it. It seemed very well made and of good quality.

  4. it even came in a bag...i was most impressed. Enough said ....I love products from everlast...they have never disappointed.

5 comments about Folding Grappling Hook Ninja Gear.
  1. the grappling hook works pretty well but the rope is worthless for climbing. definitely need some true climbing rope to tie on

  2. The product was received VERY quickly, I think it was three days after ordering. It is good quality, and very useful.

  3. Using it to help remove some tree from between 2 houses.
Throwing the hook into limbs, a friend pulls on the rope, while I cut it.
This way, we can control where it falls.
Might find other uses in the future.

  4. This is OK for use in tree cutting although I did bend one of the tines on it. But I wouldn't bet my life on it for rappeling. But for the price it is OK.

  5. The grappling hook is a pretty decent product for the price. I have no clue if would be effective in scaling a wall or whatever it is that Ninja's do, but it does work for latching onto debris in my pond and some pond dredging. I have noticed that other reviewers have found this to be a useful tool in yard work. I suspect that this product may be marketed incorrectly. A real grappling hook such as used by SWAT, etc. can cost over a hundred dollars and there does not seem to be anything in between a professional grappling hook and the Ninja grappling hook. As a niche product, it works pretty well.

5 comments about 21 Inch Extendable Baton.
  1. We have a lot of coyotes and bobcats where we walk our dog, and they've been getting a little more bold in the past year. Carrying this item on our walks has given us a little security. It comes in a case and can hang on your belt. We got the idea after watching an episode of "The Unit".

  2. I got friends telling me to spend the money on a ASP. Expect no subsitutions! they said. Well, I here to tell you that for a fraction of the price you can get just as good of a product. This thing is solid steel. The grip is rubber with texture not cheap foam. The nyon case is the real deal too.

Just a flick of the wrist is a bit of an understated through. The magnet that holds the baton closed it pretty strong so it requires a pretty hard flick make sure all pieces lock into place. Once it's out you have to smack the tip pretty hard to get it to close. This also means it would make a great jab weapon.

Overall I'm impressed what I got for $16.99. Especially for something I will hopefully never use. It makes spending the money on as ASP quite a poor investment.

  3. ok so i ordered this item saturday night and it came to my house wednesday around noon, which was great because i was expecting it to come friday. and when i opened it, it was solid, hefty and seemed like decent quality metal.

    but...

it takes a real strong snap to fully extend to a point where it will not retract. and after a couple good hits on something hard, it will bend and look retarded. and thats if it doesnt retract on you because first time i tested on a pole, it just became real loose and collapsed. and after i snapped it open really hard and hit the post a couple of times, the top piece bent and it would not close properly. it took me a good number of whacks on the same pole to get it straight-ish again.

oh well, for 16 bucks, i guess i was expecting a lil too much. I guess i have to look up mods to try and improve it. i got what i paid for, so next time i will just cough up the extra 50-70 and buy an asp.

  4. This is a nice piece of hardware. Baton telescope at flick of wrist. It has to be jammed into something as hard as cement to get retracted. The harder you swing out baton, the more force you will need for it to retract.

Good for defense. Not too expensive like the ASP brand, but this will do for my wife and I.

The handle is rubber with a diamond style grip. The steel baton is sturdy. Friction keeps baton retracted until you swing it and expanded before you force close it.

Overall quality/price ratio is good. I would only use as defense, and SERIOUSLY. This is no toy, and can and will hurt somebody or something.

  5. This is my first time buying an extendable baton, and I am happy with it. I gave it only 3 stars because it can be a little hard to close it up again, and it's a little heavier than I expected. But it opens and locks into full extension in about 1 second, and I have no doubt I could easily defend myself from someone or some animal intent on doing me harm.

5 comments about Kung Fu Shoes.
  1. These shoe sizes don't really correspond to normal sizes. I wear an 8 1/2 or 9 and finally have ordered a 7 after getting shoes too big/small a couple of times. After ordering there's no online record of what size you've ordered, so keep your receipt if you order the wrong size. Returns incur fees plus shipping, which ends up so close to the original cost as to not bother.
On the other hand, the shoes are a good product.

  2. Don't think about using these for training. They have no ankle support and you can hurt yourself using them. They also are not firmly attached to the foot so the slipping can also cause injury. My instructors have told me that they are not mat safe and can cause them to tear. I use them around the house but they are slightly worse then regular flip flops because of the thin sole support.

  3. We love the product, but they need to do something about the overwhelming moth ball odor. Terribly strong and impossible to get out.

  4. They withdrew payment from my account, but never delivered the product! To this day (a couple of months later) I have been able to receive no compensation, regardless of my efforts.

  5. This is a goo dproduct; a simple slip-on footwear that endures better than most slippers. I wouldn't wear them out inthe snow certainly, but for 'around the house' they are perfect. I have a friend who wears them in his house to reduce wear&tear on his hard wood floors.

3 comments about Everlast Mexican Style Handwraps.
  1. 108" hand wraps (such as the Everlast 4455s) are too short for most people to properly wrap their hands, unless they have very small hands such as some females or juniors. If you have normal or large-size hands or use any wrapping technique that uses a lot of cloth, like one that wraps between each finger, I strongly recommend going with a 180" wrap such as these. It may seem like a long piece of cloth, but you'll quickly use it up protecting your knuckles and wrist. Remember, don't hit a punching bag or anything else without properly protecting your hands with wraps and gloves. These Everlast wraps are cheap and basic protection.

  2. These wraps are allright. They wrap around the hand and between the knuckles without leaving too much extra. They seem to over stretch and deform after moderate use. I'm not too sure on the overall durability.

  3. I bought these after I bought the shorter, non stretchy ones. These are far better. They have lasted and kept their shape much better, and are much longer so they provide more coverage of the hands. I would highly recommend these. Make sure you hang them up between uses so they can air dry.

  1. This was good practice, but a true pro can slip out with just the right touch;p. Those who know how, know.
Otherwise, if you need these professionally, make sure to check the perps' lower body leverage, too, as I have had little trouble snapping this weightof chain with an assist from one (1!) leg, and I'm not as spry as I usedta coulda...

  2. Work great, come with two keys, double lock no problem.
    Fast delivery, well packaged.

  3. This handcuffs are extremely strong and durable. I use them for my security job and it holds up very well. Can also use for pleasure lol!!

  4. I got these as part of a package deal, I was going to get a set of peerless but the package price swayed me torwards these... They are an OK set of cuffs.. the action is ok, but the deadlocks stick and you have to beat the deadlocks for them to disengage.. I am not crazy about the finish either, it is kind of rough and not very polished. I will eventually get a set of peerless like I use at work, but for now these are ok..

  5. These handcuffs are okay for home use, but if you intend to use them for your profession, go ahead and pop the money on the smith and wesson's. A guy who knows what he's doing or is decently strong could pull the chain apart if he wanted to.

5 comments about Expandable Steel Baton.
  1. This is a very nice baton! It is very good quality. It comes with a sheath, but it will also fit in a normal-sized pocket. Compacted it is a foam rubber handle that is 8 1/8 inches long. With a flick of your wrist, you have a 21 1/4 inch long sturdy, steel rod that's good for whacking the ever-loving bejeezus out of pretty much anything that doesn't have a handgun. I got it for my wife for when she goes jogging on mostly deserted nature trails.

When expanded, the pieces lock together pretty tight, so you'll need to jam it really hard in to a cement surface to compact it.

  2. Serves the same purpose as the one that is twice the price. Good quality, fast shipping. Thanks!

  3. Quick shipping - was faster than estimated delivery. Vendor was polite and accurrate. Would buy from again.

  4. After I extended this baton, I could not close it! and I tried everything. The problem is that if it gets stuck and you cannot close it, you cant even send it back. If it did close properly, however, it would be a good quality baton.

  5. The item arrived early, was in great condition, had a great foam grip, good weight, and was quite effective as a weapon. I used it mainly for exercise, swinging it like practicing shadow swordplay (Great for cardio). After a few weeks, without notice, the smallest section pops off. I tried to put it back in, but now the section it retracts into directly is stretched, therefore it does not hold onto the thrown section. Albeit I may have been a bit rough, or used it too frequently, it may have been too quick of temperature variations, I dont know. I will try and return it, and if not accepted, I will try to repair it myself, at which time if I have no luck, it is now a shortened baton.

  1. as i was very pleased with the boken, i wouldnt suggest buying from other than sword demon. i bought mine from another and not only were there some dents in it but when it got here it was missing a piece and i had to contact the seller to get them to send a replacement. be sure to get the sword, the hard plastic guard AND the rubber piece that goes over the hard plastic guard. i originally bought two other bokens from sword demon before i got this one. but because i wanted a slightly cheaper product, (a difference of maybe two dollars at the most)i bought from another seller and got a shorter boken! it was shorter by three inches which kinda looks awkward when you have two other ones longer than it and heavier. so just be warned. and dont cheap out for two dollars for a cheaper product. just to be on the safe side, buy from sword demon. still a great product though, just disappointed by the lenght.

  2. I have just ordered one and after reading the other reviews, I'm satisfied that I made a good choice. Right now I'm not into practicing with it (since this is the only thing I could get at this price and certain people I live with wouldn't currently approve of me practicing swinging this thing around). It's basically for play (or cosplay) for Comic Con as something that can look like a sword in in it's scabbard. Since I'm not going to be hitting things with it, I feel happy that I ordered from Sword Demon.

  3. At only $9, this is an exelent buy. I have been using this thing for almost 2 years with great results.
    Pros:
Wrapped handel is very professionaly done.
    Very comfortable and lightweight.
    Realistically sized and scalled.

    Cons:
The center of ballence is not exactly in the center.
Chips and dents very easily (this is not for dueling!)

  4. A decent item for extremely light use. Use with any regularity more often then extrememly light results in the "cord wrap" sliding around and falling off; leaving a a very sticky glue film behind. Very light in weight though, so anyone can use it.

  5. its hard wood, its black, it hurts when you get hit with it, it's perfect

  1. Purchasing from Amazon was much more convenient than going to my local sporting goods store. No traffic, no lame excuses of why the product is not in stock, and no waiting in lines. I received a good quality product that was hassle free.

  2. although a little to big for me i still like them they are very good hand wraps and i think you sould buy them.

  3. These Are great wraps for little money. If you're just working the bags as a hobby or just for something to get the blood flowing these are great. If you're really getting into boxing or any sort of pugalistic sport, spend the extra money on some gloves.

  4. I haven't had any other hand wraps before but these wraps seem to do their job. They also weren't very expensive and ordering through amazon allowed me to use super saver shipping and they got here very fast.

  5. These work fine. You probably pay more for the Everlast branding but they are still cheap enough.

  1. These are a great addition to your hadwrap collection anyday. They are snug and very convinient

  2. At one time, you just needed to see the Everlast brand name to be assured that you were getting a top-quality product: one that would withstand anything you could throw at it.

Now that they've outsourced their manufacturing to China, Everlast quality is not the virtual guarantee that it once was.

I purchased (and use) these wraps. However, one of them was manufactured improperly. The velcro closure is sewn to a different side of the wrap than it is on all the others. Because of this, I always ended up putting it on backwards. I finally marked it so I would know to put it on differently than the others.

For around $10, you should expect to get something that has passed a quality-control check. After all, wraps are just some strips of cloth and velcro; they probably cost about $0.25 to manufacture.

These wraps are short, just over 100 inches, but fine for hitting the bag. They are not elasticized, but that is fine for my purposes, as it's what I prefer. If you want to do serious sparring or fighting, or if you want to put some padding on your knuckles (under the wraps), you'll need longer wraps than these. In short: you can wrap your wrist, knuckles, and thumb with these, but you won't have enough material to wrap between your fingers. They come packed in a plastic mesh bag, but it can't easily be reused. A cloth mesh bag with a drawstring would have been better.

    Summary: overpriced and shoddily-made.

  3. I'm a 5'2 female so my hands and wrists are pretty small, but these wraps are still way too short to complete the directions that they came with. The material is good so I still use them, but I have to cut way too many corners, so I'll still need to get another set. Good for young teens I guess.

  4. They are ok. One pair started coming apart, but that might just be from good ol' fashion hard training. I think I would prefer the mexican wraps. I prefer for my wraps to come up higher on my arm, but that is just my preference.

  5. These would be best suited for a child, woman or a man with very small hands. Offered little protection and coverage. Was not very satisfied and they are now sitting in a box in my home gym while I use other ones.
