1 comments about The Tiger's Claw (TC 2000).
- I bought my first pair of red Tiger Claw 2000 gloves about ten years ago at a used sporting good store. They were close to being worn out, but I liked the design and how they felt. After an extended absence, I returned to karate in July of 2002. I busted out my old gear and used it for a few months.
However, at my first tournament I almost got disqualified for wearing foam boots that were too small. So I donated my pads to the dojo and bought a brand new set of black vinyl Tiger Claw 2000 gloves and Tiger Claw 2000 Action Kick boots. I'm still sparring with them today as a black belt.
I prefer the Tiger Claw 2000 vinyl material over the shiny foam. The vinyl just looks and feels better to me. In addition, many foam gloves use a rigid tab or strap to constrict your fingers and force your hand into a fist, making it difficult to do open-hand techniques. Plus they are slippery, especially when wet with sweat. Finally, they have an annoying tendency to wrinkle and crack at the stress points.
However, the best part about the Tiger Claw 2000s is that they are flexible and conform to the shape of your hand (there's a pad running across the palm that helps you make a good fist). This frees up your fingers so that you can easily do open-hand, grappling, and jujitsu techniques. The hook-and-loop velcro closure is solid, although sometimes one side of the wrist flap will ride up a bit. The padding is good enough so that you can do a crisp backfist with light contact on someone's headgear. And your knuckles are still adequately covered for straight-punch techniques.
Overall, the Tiger Claw 2000 gloves (and Tiger Claw 2000 Action Kick boots) are an excellent, inexpensive choice for dojo and tournament sparring where contact is held to a minimum. They've held up well for over four years, and I'm quite happy with them. Recommended.

- I don't know why KD didn't add this in their description (it's also nowhere else on the net) but these hand wraps DO come with a thumb loop, re-inforced as necessary (and it isn't really). It's obvious from the pictures, but confusing as its not in the description, but the pictures ARE correct and they DO have a thumb-loop.
These gloves are well priced and the cotton inter-weaves, its also very thin.
As for the 180 inches, I have medium sized hands and the 180 inches is JUST right, so I recommend at least 180 inches for everyone, especially if you have big hands.
BTW these are my first and only pair of hand-wraps.
- The hand warps are very useful. They are longer then you'll expect (if you're not a martial artist or boxer of any sort)they are long enough to wrap around each finger, your whole hand and your wrist. The material is comfortable and thinner then expected and really durable. also helpful when wrapped around sprained ankles wrists or any other joint.Hand Wraps
- These hand wraps have enough length and are well-made,very good for the price. I would recommend these to anybody. You can't go wrong with these, especially because of the good price.

3 comments about PRO GEL SPEED WRAPS RED.
- I use Russian Kettlebells as my main exercise method. The ketlebells are very effective at giving a complete workout but they are very hard on my hands so I use these boxer speed wraps to help protect them. There is enough coverage on the palms of my hands to keep the skin from being ripped by the handles and the backs are padded to help protect the backs of my hands and my wrists when I perform snatches. I won't exercize without them.
- After spending several hours searching for a right globe for practicing my Thai kick boxing, this is the most practical with reasonable price for me.
Kick boxing doesn't rely much on punching, however using hand to grab and follow with elbow or knee strike. So, this wrap is perfectly match with my need.
the wrap it self is made of good product. it wrap around your hand and wrist which allow you to practice some technique that you don't want to do without reliable protection on your wrist.
Basically, I really enjoy using it. Easy to wear (one minute at most for wearign both of them), secure your hand, and flexible for using with different style of martial art.
- I teach kickboxing in a shadow boxing style (that is, we're not actually hitting the bag) and the wraps are good for someone who is not doing anything very rugged. However, I found the velcro attachment under the thumb (that extends and attaches across the palm) is not very sturdy and broke off the glove after 2 classes. It is an important attachment as it secures the wrap around one's hand. I also weight train in them right after kickboxing and the wear and tear from the barbell probably further instigated the problem. Anyway, they start to show wear very quickly and I would like something more durable.
