1. it's fake leather, however it's big and wide enough for all-purpose use. I'd take this bag with me to my Martial arts tournaments all the time. it's good because if you sweat alot on your equipment it will get aired out quickly with the latching ruber vent section on top. all MMA guys should get one of these or something of the same design.

1. This bag looks like shiny leather (which wasn't exactly what I thought from the picture). I usually prefer dull finishes, but this bag is pretty great regardless. I've got three gis in here (heavy judo gi, weapons gi and karate gi). There are also the zippered compartments on either end where I've tucked my waterbottle (could probably fit two side-by-side) in one end and I throw my keys, wallet, etc... in the other. It's made my life a lot better going back and forth between class as I don't have to try to dig quite so hard to find everything. My only complaint is that it would help to have a divider in the middle to aid a little in seperating out my street clothes from my other gis, but I can't complain, it is much better than my old duffle bag.
   
   NOTES:
   
   Solid construction, removable hard panel on the bottom.
   
   Lots of space
   
   Good sized, but not so huge it feels like a mobile locker
   
   Good-sized pockets on either end could probably fit a pair of sais, nunchukas.
   
   Two-zipper top with mesh on top to aid in venting the bag.
   
   Cons:
   
   The carry straps on top seem a bit long. I'm 6'1" and I still manage to drag this bag on stairs.
   
   No divider
   
   
   All in all, a pretty decent bag!

1. I'd like to write a review of the product but being the seller jacked my money and sent nothing I can't. My credit card company gave me my money back! After almost a month thought I'd better call to find out why I hadn't recieved it yet. The sales man put me on hold to look into it an hour later I was still on hold.... Long distence! I finally hung up and called back it was busy. Threw out the next day as I tried to call all I got was a busy signal. Thats when I called my crediter and they gave me a credit!
   My I just say that this has turned me off to Amazon!

   However, the bag is smaller than I anticipated and I will need to get a larger one to handle all the equipment I have. I should have sized it correctly before I ordered, which is hard to do over the internet.

1. The bag is well constructed and useful as a general duffel bag. However, if you are looking for a bag large enough to hold your sparring gear, including chest protector, this bag is not large enough. Instead, you should look at the "tournament bag" size.

1. I have had this backpack for a little over a year. I do not use it as a gear bag but rather as a uniform bag. There are times when one only needs their uniform and not all their gear. I was looking for a bag that would handle that. The design and make of the bag is exactly what I was looking for. I have no problems with the design. The problem is the construction of the backpack. The major problem is the plastic being used. The plastic is cheap. I am a student so I have several backpacks plus I use them as day bags when I travel. I have never broken a plastic clasp ever. The plastic buckle for the straps of the back pack have broken. I set the size when I got the bag and have not adjusted it since. The next problem is that it is starting to become undone across the seem lines. the sewing is not very sound. The back is coming undone within a year. It has never had more in it than a clean uniform, a book, and perhaps a change of clothes. I have to stress that the design is good but the construction is awful. Buy a regular backpack from Jansport or Eastpack and sew on a Taekwon Do patch and you will have a better bag. ProForce should have known better.
