  1. I love these socks. I have searched for tabi socks in the US for 30 yrs. I expected to find an option to select American shoe sizes, for the lovely cotton socks Japanese women wear on their feet under traditional kimonos and I hope they do exist in an American Size 7.

The sports socks rock... they're just a bit larger than I expected, which is to be expected since we have larger feet than our Asian sisters...there is a left and right foot clearly indicated which is kinda cool I took one pair, cut off all but the big toe, and slathered my feet with creams to soften sports calluses leaving the other four toes free to wiggle comfortably under the sheets.

SO: here's hoping I haven't missed the traditional cotton tabi made to size, but I will certainly order these sports socks again...just to wear flip-flops in the winter with a sock that works is pretty special.

  1. Interesting pop culture indulgence. One Caveat however, when washing remember "Sock Monster" that lives in dryer. These socks are either righty of lefty. If your not careful you will end up with a bunch of left
    footed socks

  2. i thought because i didn't want to spend too much money on tabi socks that i'd get a cheap pair, i bought these, but they are great quality! finally i can wear my sandals all year! i recomend these for sure!

  3. Okay, first of all they were such bad quality that you could see the seams (which were badly sewn).
Second, They were like dust magnets, and after one wash they were COVERD in hundreds of fuzzballs that were impossible to remove. Not only that but they were made with really uncomfortable material that was itchy. I would not recommend these socks.

  4. I've had these socks for 6 months now. I wear them infrequently, maybe once or twice a month, but they haven't started coming apart yet! Neither the washer nor my horrible runner's feet have caused the color to fade, either. These socks are a good choice in Ninjutsu-enthusiast footwear.

  1. I needed some black socks for work, so I decided "why not". The tabi socks are very comfortable, if a tad hard to put on quickly.

  1. This is my second year buying Tabi socks from this supplier. What a great person and quick delivery. Quality product. Makes a great gift for people who never knew this product existed. Now you can wear flip flops all year.
I have toe problems with hammer hoes. This product seperates the four toes so they don't pass over the big toe. Wearing them people ask about them all the time. Not available in local stores. Their loss.

  2. Very comfortable, I find myself wearing these even when I'm not wearing the tabi. Keeps my feet dry while I work

  3. Arrived when expected, neatly packaged. They are comfy and fit well (I wear size 7 1/2, my fiance wears size 11, and we can both wear them)! I wish there weren't stitching between the toes, but it won't stop me from ordering these again.

  1. These shoes are a great deal. I had heard the high tops ran a little wider width. I normally wear a double or triple E width and these high tops work. They are still not quite EEE wide, but are serviceable. I would say they are at least single E to double E width. My left foot is wider than my right and is a little bit cramped. But my right foot is fine. I wish someone sold the wide widths, but these are fine for now. There was no noticeable smell of the rubber or anything, as some reviews stated. They are light and grip the ground just fine.

  2. Fast shipping, great condition, FANTASTIC shoes! Highly recommended for any martial artist. Also makes a stylish shoe for just walking around as well. Can't beat this :)

  3. These shoes are great for any kung fu or tai chi practitioner. They give my feet good support without slipping around and my toes don't get squished.

  4. I have a couple experiences in martial arts; TKD up to blue belt, and currently doing Wado Ryu Karate, and Chin Woo Association Kung Fu. These shoes are great training shoes, whether you're doing kicks in the dojo or outdoors. They comfortable enough to move around with, good grip when holding stances, and the High Top design makes it stay on your foot better, even when doing kicks with full power and speed. I've even heard from my parkour friends that they stay on just fine and the grip will take you up and over most walls, but they have trouble staying on metal. My only complaint, if it can be called one, is that these shoes look rather flimsy, but from what I've heard from my fellow martial artists, they hold up their own. Only time will tell, and I will definitely put these shoes to the test. Overall, great shoes, great price and so far I'm satisfied with them.

  5. I bought these for my grandson. He likes them better than the low tops because they don't slip off his feet as easy when he's working out and offer more support around the ankles. The high tops have a little more rubber over the toe. I would recommend these they also look very smart.

  1. these shoes are great they are made from soft leather and fit very nice but be sure to buy whatever normal size you were a size up on these because they are made in china and there shoe sizes are not as accurate as ours. also, there could be better grip when you are on the floor but you will get used to it please enjoy your puchase!

  2. I love these martial arts shoes. They are cheaper than the competition and just as good. They have held up under vigorous training, 4 times a week for about 2 hours each time. They work just as good on hardwood floors and mats. Great pivoting. They are also very cute. I have been complemented on them by other Taekwondo students. My only problem with them is that they could use a thicker insert.....but I just slapped in a pair of Dr. Sholls and I'm good to go.

  3. These shoes are excellent very light weight and comfortable. I was worried at first about the fit of the shoes and the grip while doing different techiniques but these shoes are perfect for me and my Combat Jiu Jitsu classes. I would easily buy another pair if needed. I have gotten quite a few compliments on the style and looks of the shoes.

  4. Shoe is exactly as I expected it to be. I do not concurr with other comments here concerning the grip of the shoe. I have had other brands of similar design and these shoes have the best grip of them all. The insoles are a little slim; nothing that a good aftermarket sport shoe replacement insole can't fix. I am very happy with the price of the product and the speed of delivery. I recommend this shoe to all martial artists who use shoes during training sessions.

  1. Great quality, comfortable, look good. One downside is, you can't were them in the rain, because there cloth.

  2. the quality of the fabric and sole gum is great, the soles are sticked and wired to the main body of the tabi so that it resists hevy duty demands in and out door.

  3. They were quite comfortable on my feet, even after long hours walking with them on. But I thought they were going to be slip-resistant. They are not. I'm using them around the house, but need to find a work pair

  4. I have owned this pair of tabi boots for a few months now, and am quite happy with the quality. I've probably worn these 5 times since I got them, each time for over an hour. The pair I received have a nice, grooved bottom, and while the material on the bottom feels hard and plastic, it grips a fair amount better than a pair of tennis shoes. The black fabric is very sturdy and wear-resistant; the material hasn't stretched or torn after multiple extended uses. The Velcro that holds the boots on is of good quality, and has not come undone during use. The inside of the boots feel a little uncomfortable barefoot, so I would spring for a pair of Tabi Socks, too. This product has served me well, and I hope to get good continued use out of it.

  5. i like these alot, they are unexpededly water proof but breath well. mine came perfect, grooves and everything. the velcro allows you to hide weapons in the boot pretty easily just keep it sheithed or youll hurt your leg or ankle. note that these do not come with a sole. so you need to buy some and cut them up to fit and split into the toes. or just withstand the pain of your foot slapping alot.

  1. this shoe has one of the best fits i have ever felt, like a sock. the grip is good but will wear away fast if you are climbing up walls.

  2. I love these shoes! They're soft and comfy and I wear them EVERYWHERE. I got them to do Tai Chi but found myself wearing them all around. They're snug to my feet but flexible and the sole are extra grippy.

  3. Only one problem. One shoe was missing an eyelet, but was not worth effort to have replaced.

  4. The product was in perfect condition and arrived a day or two earlier than expected. Great. No complaints.

  5. I bought them for parkour, and the grip is very good. But, these are not generally good for a lot of running since they have literally no support. I tried putting a support insole, but since the shoe is too low, and also i got a size bigger the insole pushed my foot out. I got size 44 because im 9.5, but it was a little big. I would have gotten a 43, but they didnt have it in stock. I tied the shoelaces tight and put a thin insole in, and it worked. So I would recommend it for parkour, but with an insole, and dont run or jog too much in these because you WILL DESTROY your ankles. Also, a little hard to get used to since it has a ball shaped outsole. But worth checking out since they are cheap. Be careful about the size though.
