1 comments about Shin and Instep Pad.
  1. I have been using these for about two months now and couldn't be happier with my purchase.

The pads are enclosed in a heavy sock-like material which breathes very well. They slip on with little effort and are taken off with a bit more effort; I don't like equipment that feels like you will break or tear it by pulling too hard trying to take it off- no worries with this product.
The pads are nice and thick without being too thick. There is plenty padding to keep from breaking your shins, but not so much that you have no feedback.

For a point of reference: I do not spar with these- I use them for bag work (Heavy bag- 100 lbs). Would I feel confident using these in sparring? Absolutely (I am just not sparring right now).

I am picky enough about my equipment that I don't give 5 stars lightly - I honestly could find no fault with these.

  1. I had the gloves for about couple of months now and they're still in great shape. There might be other gloves out there that go for a little bit less, but if you dont mind spending this much, then go for it. It's money well spent, at least for me that is.

1 comments about Interval Workout Timer TMR03-B Black: Boxing, Wrestling, Martial, MMA, Fitness, HIIT.
  1. I am not a boxer, but I needed a customizable interval timer for my Marathon training with the Galloway run-walk program. You can customize the workout(run) and rest(walk) intervals separately and the intervals automatically cycle an beeps at the end of every Workout & Rest cycle. Seller (Inventico) responded promptly to my email enquiry. The unit comes with a sturdy wirelike thingie which you will have to install (see my Customer Images)- I found that handy. It is kinda bulky looking if you are wearing it on your wrist and running. But it is lightweight and did its job well when I wore it on my long run. I would prefer to get my interval timing cues from my iPod, but these days there are restrictions on using iPods on races, so I wanted a iPod-less alternative to interval time myself. I could not come up with a similar product (except for the Everlast timer) when I did my search on Amazon.
It gives out 3 beeps after workout and 1 beep after Rest. You may be intersted in looking up http://www.inventico.net

Con: I wish it were a little sleeker and the Beep a little louder (or customizable) to help in outdoor situations.

  1. Great Deal!!! Very pleased with the product and the quickness of delivery. Recommend to anyone.

  2. The title pretty much says it all. The bag is solid and didn't get too soft even after a good amount of use. The big downside is that the metal clasps that are used to hang up the bag are of extremely poor quality and can't support the weight of the bag. One of the clasps actually broke in two and two of the others became bent beyond usability. All within about six months of use. Unless you're prepared to spot weld the clasps to reinforce them I'd look elsewhere for a heavy bag.

  3. Look out for bloody knuckles if you don't wrap up before hand. The canvas is great for toughening up the shins; ours is pretty bloodied. I haven't seen the clasps fail and while it's something to consider I wouldn't let that dissuade you from getting one of these. Cheap and sturdy. Bought mine at an authority on sports for like 80 bucks (100#er). Can't beat that!

Soak it down with water and let it dry and it becomes almost rock hard and even heavier, great again for thai boxing drills and toughning the shins up. Hanging should be well thought out though, especially if you soak the bag. Mount it against multiple joists or a VERY sturdy tree limb if you can manage it. Enjoy.

1 comments about TURBO SPEED BAG 7X10 BK.
  1. I own 4 different bags including this one.
They range in size from 11' to about 6"
This is appears to be a pretty tough bag, however, it is not a fast bag.
The image on the site is not exactly the same as what was shipped. The actual bag is a little more bulbous. It has a narrower neck and meaty body.
It is intrinsically a hard bag and is heavier than my other speed bag of the same size. Worth the money however.

  1. I've always had trouble finding a mouthguard that would form and fit my mouth well when fighting. I've gone through dozens of cheapo mouthguards and don't have the money to get a custom made mouthguard, so I finally decided to pick up a shock doctor and I have to say I'm very pleased with the product. The guard has this blue gel which when boiled becomes very soft and molds to your teeth during the forming process for an extra tight fitting. Of all the mouthguards I've ever used, this is the best I've ever used.

  2. This one is good, but for fit and protection I prefer the cheaper (yet better) version called "Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouth Guard"
