5 comments about Century Leather Wrap Bag Gloves Black (Black).
- I use these gloves for a kickboxing class and they are about the best I've found. Provide good wrist support and well made.
- These gloves are worth the money. I tried the cheaper gloves, but wound up trashing them and buying these instead. The wrist support is the feature I have to praise the most. It's comfortable and it makes your wrist feel more sturdy. The grip bar in the center palm of the glove takes some getting used to, but it's not intolerable.
- Overall, these gloves are good for light training, but after having used them for a while, I think I'm going to have to get some that have more robust padding in the knuckle area. The fit is very good, though as another reviewer notes, they are snug with hand wraps (which I like). The leather is a nice alternative to the vinyl and neoprene common in many bag gloves because it allows your hand to breathe. My only issue is that the padding over the knuckles is thin (1/4 inch foam), and now that it has been beaten down a little, I find I have some soreness even with hand wraps.
- A few months ago I started looking around for a good pair of mma gloves to use while working the heavybag and focus mitts and I tried out several different brands before choosing the Century gloves.
I found them to be a lot more comfortable to wear and although some of the other gloves had more padding on the knuckles, they felt to bulky and cumbersome to me. As soon as I put these gloves on I knew that I had found the right gloves for me. I was even more convinced the first time that I used them on my muay thai bag. The provided great protection as well as a bit more wrist support, even though I always wrap my hands with handwraps prior to hitting the bag.
If there is any downside to these gloves, I haven't found it yet. They have been very durable so far and I haven't seen any signs of wear on them as of yet, and I have been using them 3 times per week for ten 3 minute rounds per punching workout. The one thing that I would like to see, is an X-large or even XX-large pair of gloves that would more easily accommodate a larger hand and handwraps.
Other than that small criticism, I would highly recommend these gloves over some of the more expensive "brand name" mma gloves on the market.

- I was not pleased with my purchase. The gloves were not really a small, which I have had before, but more like a medium. They were poorly stiched at the right knuckle area and gave me a re-occuring blister/raw spot at that place. They also smelled so strongly of mothballs that I had to leave them outside in the garage for several days before I could even wear them. I ended up going to a store to try on and buy a pair of new gloves to use. I will not ever buy this product online again.

3 comments about Everlast Mixed Martial Arts Shin-Instep Guards.
- The band that holds the foot came loose with the whole string after two minutes of light use, I didn't even had the chance to kick with it; I excepted better quality from Everlast; too bad
In addition, the bands that hold the chin are designed such that it is difficult to tighten this thing on your shin
- Good product. works as advertised, have not tired all brands hence only 4 stars but I an still walk after a hard work out :)
- Bought these last week and have now used it in Krav Maga sparring. Overall, they're pretty good. Note that these are not designed to be used with shoes. You can probably still wear shoes if you want, but then you can't use the bottom elastic strap; that may be why the first reviewer's broke (or maybe huge feet?). Plus, the shoe tongue makes them not fit so well. They were a little strange-feeling at first and definitely took some getting used to. Barefoot they seemed to rub a little, but were comfortable enough with socks. The protection is very good, with about an inch of stiff foam in the central parts of the shin and half an inch around that. One major issue is the sizes: I'm a 5'8", 170 lbs. man. At first I ordered the S/M and they seemed a little small, so I ordered the L/XL to compare. Both stopped below the knee, but I'm returning the small size. I think that smaller size may be only appropriate for people significantly less than 5'8". I agree the straps could be longer; but I have pretty muscular calves and was still able to make them work. Measurements: S/M: Shin is about 14" long, main pad is about 4" wide. L/XL: Shin is about 15" long, main pad is about 5" wide. Both sizes' foot parts are about 6" long and about 5" wide. The seam between the shin and foot has a lip on the inside that is a little annoying. The construction seems solid. I was a little unsure at first, but they've grown on me and overall, I'm satisfied.

5 comments about Everlast Genuine Leather Speed Bag Gloves.
- I use these gloves for a water filled Heavy bag. The gloves do fine with my lite work out of 20 minutes, if you stay on the bag longer you may need 2 pairs.
Recommended
- As mentioned by other reviewers, these gloves offer little padding. This is not really a bad thing. Use a pair of wraps underneath these to provide some extra support.
The lack of padding gives you a good feel of impact. Your hands will hurt a little at first, but as you progress, this is not an issue.
- These gloves are totally worthless. They are thinner than oven mitts! A pair of these came free with my speed bag. I put them away so one of my kids won't use them by mistake and get hurt.
- They deserve 5 stars only if they didn't leave black stains on my red punching bag
- If you truly believe these gloves are too thin...then you've obviously been raised in todays society as the bunch of weeklings that the whole world is coming to. These are excellent gloves for the Seasoned Heavy/Speed bag enthusiast. Obviously NOT for beginners as apparently stated in others comments.

1 comments about Interval Workout Timer TMR03-B Black: Boxing, Wrestling, Martial, MMA, Fitness, HIIT.
- I am not a boxer, but I needed a customizable interval timer for my Marathon training with the Galloway run-walk program. You can customize the workout(run) and rest(walk) intervals separately and the intervals automatically cycle an beeps at the end of every Workout & Rest cycle. Seller (Inventico) responded promptly to my email enquiry. The unit comes with a sturdy wirelike thingie which you will have to install (see my Customer Images)- I found that handy. It is kinda bulky looking if you are wearing it on your wrist and running. But it is lightweight and did its job well when I wore it on my long run. I would prefer to get my interval timing cues from my iPod, but these days there are restrictions on using iPods on races, so I wanted a iPod-less alternative to interval time myself. I could not come up with a similar product (except for the Everlast timer) when I did my search on Amazon.
It gives out 3 beeps after workout and 1 beep after Rest. You may be intersted in looking up http://www.inventico.net
Con: I wish it were a little sleeker and the Beep a little louder (or customizable) to help in outdoor situations.

4 comments about Everlast Mixed Martial Arts Full Head Guard.
- My old head gear was really puffy and a hit wouldn't really go through. But I found out after an opponents power reaches a certain point that the puffy stuff doesn't work. When you go against someone with significantly less power you still feel it (with this gear). With puffy stuff you don't even feel it. This is great for hard hitters. If they don't hit hard, don't buy it. Yeah, it looks great on though. Its well crafted, snug fit.
- Excellant value for a full face guard, covering cheeks and the chin. Similar equipment usually cost twice as much. The quality of the product does not seemed to be lessened either. Good buy.
- product was great, too bad Amazon wouldn't let me exchange it for a size that fit.
- This headgear is really good. Quality of this headgear is awsome. i get a tight fit form it. Sparing wise this headgear will prote4ct you from many hard punches you will barely feel a punch just a push ,but you will feel some punches. The only flaw to this headgear is a chin strap is this headgear had a chinstrap i would have given it a 5 out of 5 star

5 comments about Century Bob Body Opponent Bag.
- I'm not too big on free standing punching bags but the BOB is something special, a separate class all it's own. The rubber skin more closely emulates punching a real person than a regular heavy bag. It is comfortable to strike for long periods of time without requiring hand protection yet holds up to serious abuse from fists, feet, elbows, knees, or whatever you want to hit it with. Furthermore, the human-like shape really facilitates targeting. If you are purely a traditionalist you'll probably want a makiwara (striking post). If you're willing to embrace the best in a modern training tool, however, this mannequin bag makes a great investment. There are some really good BOB workouts in books like Loren Christensen's "Solo Training 2: The Martial Artist's Guide to Building the Core for Stronger, Faster and More Effective Grappling, Kicking and Punching." This is a fantastic training tool for any martial artist.
- Bob is a good target to punch.
Because Bob's got eyes, nose, ears, neck etc. he's great for practicing high kicks to the throat or moves where you're learning to hit a specific body part.
- I didn't give this a 5 only because it doesn't hold enough water weight to stand still, but most free standing bags don't. Other than that the 6 height adjustments are great to practice different angling of techniques for different heights of opponents. And of course having a throat, face, ribs, solar plexus, etc. is excellent for practicing techniques, especially for martial arts like kenpo and wing chun. If you shop around you can probably find it closer to $200, but up to $300 is worth it if you're serious about training.
- If you like to work out and need to get out some aggression than this thing is perfect for you! I had to buy some gloves as it was hurting my hands to punch with bare hands. The only problem I have is that it is currently filled with water and on carpet it's just not heavy enough so "Bob" keeps trying to escape from me into the corner!
It's great though...makes my workout more fun.
- That was my worse internet shopping experience in my life. 3 times they tried to deliver my merchandise to me, and I never received it. Finaly I cencelled my order, end I didn't get my money back yet.

1 comments about Everlast Boxing Workout DVDs.
- Wow! I love this series. I have both DVD's beginner and advanced. If you are an at home excersizer and kickboxing is your thing this is a MUST for you. Boxing done right. Michael goes through EVERYTHING you need to know from hand wrapping, stance, and form. He shows you how to be the trainer and the trainee. It was like the light went off in my head. I own a lot of kickboxing DVD's. I usually pop them in and just go. I think that this series is SO important because it breaks down everything that you need to know in order for you to get a more effective workout. I was able to apply everything I learned from this series to my other kickboxing DVD's and it helped me to workout much more efficiently. I mean this guy REALLY knows what he's talking about. He's clear and to the point. The beginner DVD really has a lot of instruction more so than it does have a work out BUT it shows you how to hit a heavy bag, and how to train with a trainer a lot of information. On a last note the film production is nice. Michael narrates the who series instead of the usual talking while working out. I normally don't like that with more workout DVD's but it works with this series. I can't say enough about how great this series is. I have nothing negative to say about it. Invest in your equipment and start hitting.
