2 comments about DELUXE WEIGHTED GLOVES.
- I received the weighted gloves yesterday and tried them on. They are comfortable and do not feel like they are about to fall off, like another brand I had purchased in the past. I like the fact that it goes around your wrist and you can adjust how tight or loose you want it. I would recommend this.
- I bought these gloves to use with Chalene Johnson's "Turbo Jam" workouts, in lieu of the more expensive Turbo Jam weighted gloves. They work perfectly for my purpose, and I love the fit and feel of them. I have very small wrists, and the velcro-wrap design makes it easy to get them snug.
Some people prefer a glove with an open palm, because these do get sweaty during a hard workout, but I like having something to grip in my fist when I'm punching and kicking.
Note: the "sizes" 4 and 6 do not refer to the actual fit of the glove, but the amount of weight. Size 4 = 1 lb each (2 lb. pair), and size 6 = 1.5 lbs. each (3 lb. pair). I have the size 4 and they are heavy enough for me, but I am a 100-lb. girl.

5 comments about Everlast Training Bag Holder.
- I haven't had experience with bag stands (we don't have the room for one), but if you can mount your heavy bag to the ceiling, this is the holder for you.
As pictured, the holder comes with bolts, locking washers and nuts to hold the U-shaped piece to the ceiling mount. If you don't tighten the nuts sufficiently (or fail to use the locking washers) you may have problems with them slowly loosening over time. This is your chance to show off your tightening skills.
In my opinion, the included lag nuts are best installed directly into a wood cross beam. (I actually cut away the just enough drywall from the ceiling in order to get access to the wood beam.)
You'll learn just how powerful your triceps are by the time you've tightened the lag nuts. Think of the install as your warm-up for your first session with the heavy bag.
- Everlast heavy bag and equipment-great exactly what I was looking for! convenient on time delivery! Will use Amazon again!!!
Thank you
- This product is acceptable.
This is much easier to install if you have a good socket wrench.
The directions are written in extremely small type, and it is difficult to make out the diagrams. However, this is not a problem because, unless you are mechanically challenged, the item is self-explanatory. It is much easier to install the lag bolts into a wood rafter if you drill some small pilot holes first. A small hole will not reduce the holding power of the screw. The directions do not tell you this. They could be improved if Everlast were to tell you that this is an option, and instruct you what diameter hole was appropriate.
The nuts, bolts, and lock-washers are standard items that have been used without problems for a century. Another reviewer complained that they loosen up quickly, but I can only imagine that he has the lock washers in the wrong spots. If it is assembled according to the directions, and tightened sufficiently with a wrench, adjustable wrench, or socket wrench, it will remain tight. If you try to tighten it with pliers, you may have a hard time keeping it together, but that is not a fault of the item itself; pliers are not the correct tool for the job.
This item would be better if it included some good rubber bushings. Anything that reduces the vibration in your rafters would improve this item. Fortunately, it's easy to make something that will serve this purpose.
Summary: a tried-and-true method of hanging a punching bag.
- This product works fine, but the horizontal bolt's threads will rub on your bag's hook. Can be a little noisy.
- This holder was perfect for my heavy bag. I mounted it to a ceiling joist in my basement. Always drill holes 1/8" smaller than what you think you need, and the screws will fit tightly. Use a socket wrench to crank the bolts in well.

- 108" hand wraps (such as the Everlast 4455s) are too short for most people to properly wrap their hands, unless they have very small hands such as some females or juniors. If you have normal or large-size hands or use any wrapping technique that uses a lot of cloth, like one that wraps between each finger, I strongly recommend going with a 180" wrap such as these. It may seem like a long piece of cloth, but you'll quickly use it up protecting your knuckles and wrist. Remember, don't hit a punching bag or anything else without properly protecting your hands with wraps and gloves. These Everlast wraps are cheap and basic protection.
- These wraps are allright. They wrap around the hand and between the knuckles without leaving too much extra. They seem to over stretch and deform after moderate use. I'm not too sure on the overall durability.
- I bought these after I bought the shorter, non stretchy ones. These are far better. They have lasted and kept their shape much better, and are much longer so they provide more coverage of the hands. I would highly recommend these. Make sure you hang them up between uses so they can air dry.

- I am 6' tall and have big hands, these fit me perfect. I enjoy using them because they fit so well and they don't hurt my hands no matter how hard I hit the bag.
- My teen daughter is in martial arts, we set up a workout area in the basement, she needed a new pair of training gloves, her last pair didn't make it through their first year, but then, we didn't buy a name brand the first time around. Everlast costs a little more, but well worth it. They are appropriately padded and well made, shipping was immediate, packaging was good. There aren't alot of color choices, pink would not have been my daughters' first choice, but they show up great on video!
- These gloves are an excellent purchase for anyone who is in a boxing or kickboxing class or for the casual user who likes to hit the bag at home. I'm a small girl (5'3), with small hands, but after trying on the 12oz gloves at the store, I opted to purchase the 14oz ones off of Amazon instead. I'm extremely glad that I did because my hands fit inside the 14oz gloves perfectly whether I'm wearing wraps or not, whereas my fingers were a little cramped inside the 12oz gloves when I didn't have wraps on. The padding on the gloves is exceptional, I never hurt my hands hitting the bag or during drills in class. The color has gotten me quite a few compliments, however the one minor complaint I have is that there is no headgear to match. Everlast makes camouflage, yellow, red, blue, and black gloves all with matching headgear, however their pink gloves do not come with any matching accessories except wraps and finding matching headgear online has been kind of a headache. Overall, I would still purchase the gloves regardless of the fact that I don't match when I spar, and realistically, if you're not using the gloves in a combat related class or you don't care about being color coordinated, the matching headgear problem isn't even an issue worth worrying about. Conclusively, the 14oz gloves get 5 stars based on their comfortability, functionality, and appearance.
- I got the 8 oz. gloves. I'm around 5'1" with a tiny frame, and these gloves fit me a lot better than the 12 oz. Feels great when punching in them and not restricting even with the wraps.
- The Everlast Women's Pro Style Training Gloves are perfect for use at the gym. The gloves take awhile to break in, as I find them very stiff. However, they are very comfortable and stylish at the gym! I use them for a FitBox class and they're perfect for what I need them for. You also can't go wrong with the pricing on amazon.com.

5 comments about Everlast EverGel Hand Wraps.
- Bought these to wear under my boxing gloves and they don't really allow the boxing gloves to slide on and off very easily. I wouldn't wear them alone to hit the bag - I would be afraid the gel like stuff inside the knuckles would come out. Maybe for light sparring they would be ok but for hitting a heavy bag I would not recommend. Go with traditional wraps and gloves.
- Alot of people who have written reviews, in my opinion are not realizing that these gloves are not being sold as a replacement for boxing/bag gloves.
These gloves are meant to be used a quick and easy alternative for HAND WRAPS, as in that tape/ace bandage looking thing that you see boxer's on TV wrapping their hands and wrists with before putting them inside of their boxing gloves.
They ARE overly tight and overly snug but that is to prevent injury to the small bones in your hand and also from spraining your wrist.
Two problems, the gel is to large to fit in some boxing gloves. And the stitching is somewhat weak , and since your buying this online ... I recommend going to your local sports goods store and try on the sizes and see what is good for you, that is what I did. Also over time the gloves break in like a baseball glove and become more comfortable and less overly tight.
Remember NOT A BAG GLOVE, NOT BOXING GLOVES
- I purchased this gift as part of my main Christmas gift for my husband. He LOVES the hand wraps and says that they fit great.
- I had tried on the Everlast EverGel Hand Wraps in large at a Big 5 store and thought that they were too big, so I ordered the mediums; however, they feel slightly uncomfortably tight and leave my hands red and sore. :( Hopefully they'll stretch a little, but otherwise they breath well and look sexy, ha! I've hit a bag a few times with them and they haven't ripped (as other reviews I've seen for them claim). I'll throw them in the wash one of these days and hopefully that'll help break 'em in.
- I read reviews of a few different gloves and went to the store to try them on and get the best fitting ones. I didn't plan on buying this particular pair, but I purchased these because they were the only brand in stock which fit me. So far, they have worked well, but the stitching doesn't look very well done. There are vents in the palm which keeps the moisture down some. They are comfortable and provide good, sufficient cushioning for light bag work (i.e. a cardio-kickboxing class.) For serious heavy bag work, as other reviews have stated, these are only meant to substitute for hand wraps.
On sizing, I am a woman with small hands, and a men's medium fits me great. My husband, who has what are normally considered medium hands, says these are too small for him. Even if you buy them on-line for a better price, I definitely suggest trying them on in the store.
Overall, I am relatively satisfied. Depending on how long they last, I may or may not get a different brand next time.

5 comments about Everlast 6-Piece Platform Bag Set.
- I bought this set (not from Amazon) and did not even get a chance to use it because the support brackets could not be tightened onto the mounting brackets on one side. It was too loose to use. Poor design or manufacturing. I think I'll get a more professional setup.
- This is a great value for the beginning boxer in your house. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the swivel that it comes packaged with. The one that's included is the most basic plastic swivel you can buy and after a few rounds of hitting the bag it would come unscrewed and end up getting punched across the room. I purchased the next step up in Everlast swivels for about $20 and the difference was instantly noticeable. Faster rebounds and a much more secure mount. You may also want to upgrade to a smaller bag after you get used to the one packaged with this kit. Oh, and one more thing, the kit comes with no lag bolts to mount it to a wall. I picked up 4 from the local hardware store for a few dollars, but I was surprised they weren't included like they were with the Everlast heavybag I also bought.
For everything you get in this kit, it is well worth the money and a great way to get started in boxing for a good workout or competitive sport.
- I can't vouch for anything about assembling or using this item. But, when I checked the order to see if it was correct, the bag that was supposed to be black leather was instead a weird rubbery red bag. I thought I was paying this high price because there was a leather one included. I contacted Amazon and they were extremely helpful: Told me to send it back in and they'd send another one express shipping. I received the other one, and it turned out to be the same type of bag. So, I haven't checked the page to see if it has changed, but I wanted to let people know what they are going to be ordering if they decide to buy this product.
- The 6 piece set was more than I actuallly needed, but I didn't know where I was going to mount the speed bag and so I got the whole kit. The speed bag is really good quality and the swivel is better than I thought it was going to be. It is nice to have both the wrap and the gloves if you are a beginner because you may find that one suits you better than the other. I did not end up using the platform but the frame leads me to believe that it is very sturdy. The jump rope, ah, the jump rope is a nice touch and it is nice to have, but i's nothing special.
If you are looking for a fun and challenging arm workout the speed bag is a lot of fun to learn. It is not about punching something as hard as you can it is about controlling your punch. I like it, it's fun and it's a really good outlet on very bad days.
- This is a good deal for the price. But when it comes to tools and gym equipment, better quality is always best! This is acceptable but not great!

- Purchasing from Amazon was much more convenient than going to my local sporting goods store. No traffic, no lame excuses of why the product is not in stock, and no waiting in lines. I received a good quality product that was hassle free.
- although a little to big for me i still like them they are very good hand wraps and i think you sould buy them.
- These Are great wraps for little money. If you're just working the bags as a hobby or just for something to get the blood flowing these are great. If you're really getting into boxing or any sort of pugalistic sport, spend the extra money on some gloves.
- I haven't had any other hand wraps before but these wraps seem to do their job. They also weren't very expensive and ordering through amazon allowed me to use super saver shipping and they got here very fast.
- These work fine. You probably pay more for the Everlast branding but they are still cheap enough.

- At one time, you just needed to see the Everlast brand name to be assured that you were getting a top-quality product: one that would withstand anything you could throw at it.
Now that they've outsourced their manufacturing to China, Everlast quality is not the virtual guarantee that it once was.
I purchased (and use) these wraps. However, one of them was manufactured improperly. The velcro closure is sewn to a different side of the wrap than it is on all the others. Because of this, I always ended up putting it on backwards. I finally marked it so I would know to put it on differently than the others.
For around $10, you should expect to get something that has passed a quality-control check. After all, wraps are just some strips of cloth and velcro; they probably cost about $0.25 to manufacture.
These wraps are short, just over 100 inches, but fine for hitting the bag. They are not elasticized, but that is fine for my purposes, as it's what I prefer. If you want to do serious sparring or fighting, or if you want to put some padding on your knuckles (under the wraps), you'll need longer wraps than these. In short: you can wrap your wrist, knuckles, and thumb with these, but you won't have enough material to wrap between your fingers. They come packed in a plastic mesh bag, but it can't easily be reused. A cloth mesh bag with a drawstring would have been better.
Summary: overpriced and shoddily-made.
- I'm a 5'2 female so my hands and wrists are pretty small, but these wraps are still way too short to complete the directions that they came with. The material is good so I still use them, but I have to cut way too many corners, so I'll still need to get another set. Good for young teens I guess.
- They are ok. One pair started coming apart, but that might just be from good ol' fashion hard training. I think I would prefer the mexican wraps. I prefer for my wraps to come up higher on my arm, but that is just my preference.
- These would be best suited for a child, woman or a man with very small hands. Offered little protection and coverage. Was not very satisfied and they are now sitting in a box in my home gym while I use other ones.
- The 3 pak hand wraps are a great value. It works out well for my classes to have the extras on hand so I am not always ordering them for my members. My students seem to like the different colors, but being that they are all female, would like to see pink, blue and yellow!!!

- These gloves are good entry level gloves, I see many people give them five start but perhaps they haven't tried Grant or Cleto Reyes, if you're a boxing fan look at the gloves they wear, their doing away with Everlast because of the quality, they are cheap, I bought a pair myself when I first started in Muay Thai and now I also train in American boxing, but as became a better and stronger fighter I began to experiment with better quality equipment, so I gave my old Everlast gloves away. I love Cletos and still use them but they run a little big, I love Grants even more, the quality and material of both brands is a lot better than Everlast, you may pay 100 bucks more but you if you're not serious about your training or if you punch like a little boy stay with Everlast but if your really train like I do and profesional boxers, and fighters do the research and try out Grants or Cletos you'll feel the diffence in the foam and the 100% leather workmanship. Believe me Everlast is just an entry level glove.
- I im new to boxing and dind know the weight that i should buy for my training globes, I recommend this 16oz, they are heavy enough.
They fit well, solid and look nice.
- My initial impression of these gloves was a bad one: they absolutely reek of some sort of organic solvent used during the manufacturing process. It is difficult to hold these chemical-laden gloves up to my face when I'm breathing heavy during training; the smell makes me want to vomit. After a few weeks, the smell becomes tolerable. However, it almost makes me want to pay extra for leather gloves.
The gloves are well-made, I have no complaints about the fit or finish. The thumbs are comfortable and both sides feel the same. The cuffs are comfortable, with no sharp edges or other annoyances. The velcro is sewn on straight and is easy to use. The thumbs are attached, but can be easily freed up if desired. If you just use them for hitting the heavy bag, you're better off snipping the attachment; it will make it easier to grab the velcro and tighten it up. After making gloves for decades, I suppose Everlast has it down to a science.
These gloves are hard. I wouldn't want to get hit by them. If you want to spar someone, they won't appreciate it if you wearing these gloves. But the gloves feel good on my fists. I can really go berzerk on the hardest part of my heavybag without feeling any discomfort in my knuckles.
I'm not sure why Everlast claims that the gloves have an "anti-microbial" lining. As far as I can tell, it's just polyester. In any event, it works fine.
Some other reviewers have complained that these gloves fit too snug. I didn't find this to be a problem. When my hands are wrapped, they fit into the gloves snugly, but the fit is proper. If you have fat, untrained hands, or if you are a large-boned heavyweight, you might experience a tight fit. For most people, the gloves are as they should be.
For the money, these gloves are fine.
- I thought that these gloves were really cool because they are easy to put on when you have the other one on, i like the rist rap as well, not a whole lot of padding though
- For $26 (what I paid) you can't beat these bag gloves with a stick. Sure, if you are a professional boxer and are planning on using your bag glove HOURS A DAY then spending a lot more on gloves made for professionals would make sense. I've used these a few hours a week ever since I got them and they are holding up just fine and are very comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
